Every morning there are horses exercising on the track. Lovely surroundings with a lot of history.

A great night out, friendly people and a fantastic atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere with the street food & drinks around & you can watch the racing for free if you don't want to go into the main grandstand. Makes it affordable to everyone, great idea unlike in the UK.

A great place to go and relax or exercise. Even better when there is racing on which can be watched free

Technically we didn't go in the grandstand so can't review that but we watched a race from the side of the road. It was nice.

Stopped in on race day to catch a few races and decided it was nicer to watch outside the track in the breeze than in the stands and pay to sit. Lovely afternoon, plenty of places to make bets around the track and vendors selling drinks and food. A nice afternoon when in Barbados.

Went here after seeing the horses swim in the sea at Pebble Beach. We were able to sit in the stand watching the horses run round the training track. Great experience. One of the top trainers in Barbados stopped to have a chat

Thoroughbred Horse racing at probably the most unique racetrack in the world. The home location where many locals developed their talents and skills and have gone on to be top international jockeys, trainers, grooms, and exercise riders. Well done Barbados.

Such a relaxed, friendly, informal atmosphere at Garrison Savannah, all round the perimeter of the race track. Free entry, and all manner of locals and visitors hanging out together in the spacious grassy areas besides the bookies. Definitely drop in if you're in Barbados on a race day - and check out the horses having a dip in the sea early morning too.

We went to the Boxing Day meet, and what a great afternoon we had! Fantastic atmosphere, and the Bajans really know how to celebrate a public holiday. We paid to go in, but you can watch from the outside, and there's loads of food stalls and drinks available. Definitely go if you get the chance.

This is a historic area and a place for horse racing in Barbados. I enjoyed horse racing here and got to see family and friends after about five years not visiting my native country.

A nice place for runners walkers and outdoors. Lots of free parking.

Don't spend your money getting a ticket to sit in the stadium. Come hang out on the rails with the cool kids. It's what my family does when they're racing horses. If you do bet, they will still take your betting ticket nobody cares if you're in the stands or not.

Love it here. Pay for a seat. Drink some Banks. Place your bets.

Great day out,it cost 25 baj $ entrance fee, or free to watch on the outside track,food and drink available in &on the outside track also on the outside there is porta loos,and betting booths.

Great day out and always have a day at the races when here in Barbados. Plenty of places to get food and drink and easy to put a bet on.

Boxing Day at the races was wonderful. Did not place a bet but had some lucky calls. Great food, great friends , great experience, great horse racing.

No need to pay to see the races. Just find a space on the outside of the course. They even have booths to place your bets.

Part of the world heritage site, the Savanah is a lovely place to walk. It's a large wide open area and quiet. It is also a horse racetrack, and if one likes to watch horses workout, mornings are good for that.

Great day out, the place to be on race day.

Even empty this place has atmosphere, surrounded as it is by the remains of Empire - barracks, military prison now museum, officers mess, guardrails,etc. On a race day it excels.

It's a charming hangover from a Colonial past. Reasonably competitive, low quality flat racing in a quaint setting. The only means of betting is via the scandalously poor value tote although food and drink is reasonable. However...... during covid times the insistence that masks must be worn outside at all times, even when eating and drinking and apart from other racegoers is baffling. Great place to go if you 'collect' racecourses otherwise stay on the beach.

Horse racing every other Saturday was a lot of fun. Reasonable entrance fee of $25bds for a seat in the stands. Food and beverages available at kiosks and lots of betting windows. Not a luxury place, but well worth a visit.
