Wow ! What a great massage. I had hot stone massage and was amazing!! Who like hard massage this is place for you. Stuff is really nice , they know your body and recognize what is happening and how they need to threat it. Hot stone massage is higher recommended! After massage you get cup of tea 🍵. Thank you . Even though it is located at the tourist area, me as resident here, I will go again !

Wonderful experience at Himalaya Health Centre! It is located down a side street in a bustling location full of shops and restaurants, frequented by tourists. After walking around Amsterdam all day for several days, this acupressure type massage was a welcome relief! I got the 30 minute foot and calf massage (addition of calf massage was included and tailored at my request 🙂). The staff are polite and efficient. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!

I have conflicting experiences due to the skill and techniques of certain employees being better/worse than the other. My first sports massage went very well. The masseuse listened to my complaints, applied great even force and had great technique. It was 30mins focused on my shoulders and neck and I had no more issues with neck strain following this appointment. However, today, after scheduling another sports massage for my neck and calves, this time a different masseuse was taking care of me and I was not satisfied with the service. Large amounts of oil was put on my back when I asked for only neck/shoulders and calves, they did not apply enough force, and after asking to apply more pressure, they only did so for a few seconds and went back to a gentle relaxing massage each time. There was a lack of focus and technique to really tackle the tightness and soften the tension. I feel the same as I did before I walked in today.

Himalaya Health Centre - Amsterdam Review As I've aged, I've noticed that my neck, shoulders, and back muscles have become stiffer, causing pain when I use them. The sensation of relieving a long-standing knot can truly be transformative. Not only does it provide immediate relief from pain and tension in the scapula area, but it also enhances blood circulation and nutritional flow. Being an enthusiast, I have frequented various massage parlors, mostly opting for Thai and Chinese establishments. I have a particular fondness for massages provided by blind therapists, such as the Mangren Tuina (盲人推拿按摩) technique. Recently, I returned from a trip to China where I made it a point to regularly visit massage parlors. Thus, I embarked on a search for a massage parlor, hoping to replicate the same positive outcomes and sensations. After reading numerous positive reviews on Yelp and Google, I decided to start writing reviews, beginning with the city of Amsterdam. It's worth noting that, in my experience, Google ratings for massage parlors aren't always an entirely good indication, but they're better than nothing. **Massage** Chosen type of massage: sport massage Masseur: I requested the only guy working there, as he was the only specific recommendation I could locate from the reviews. Due to privacy reasons, I will only mention his initials, G. Price: 45 minutes = 50 euros (for the most recent price list, see picture). This is comparable to prices in other cities. (See picture for most recent pricing.) Process: Upon arrival, you exchange your shoes for slippers. For the sports massage, you lie on a table face down through a hole, wearing only your underwear. **Opinion** Technique: The massage felt random and chaotic, without applying pressure in the right places. Although the masseur had strong hands, the pressure wasn't applied effectively, often missing the pressure points entirely or only briefly touching them. Effect: Unsurprisingly, I didn't feel much better afterwards. In fact, the blanket they placed over me during the massage made me sweat, leaving me somewhat worse off. Other relevant observations: - The sound of people entering is quite audible. There wasn't a dedicated staff member to receive new customers, resulting in the masseur being interrupted multiple times during the treatment. - Despite my communication, they applied oil on me, which they later had to remove. I was informed that they typically use oil for massages and find it challenging to perform massages without it. However, excessive oil usage can make it difficult to apply deep and focused pressure. - The entire room is divided with curtains so every sound is audible. People are expected to treat it as a silence area. Not recommended for people who like to chat during massages. **Final Verdict**: Not recommended

I had a very bad experience with this place. The person who was massaging me was talking constantly. I went there for a relaxed massage experience, but they were talking to the receptionist (or whoever was near the desk) and other masseuse. There was no technique or pattern used in massaging at all. Oh wait, she got distracted, that’s why. I have tried more than 10 massage places in Amsterdam, and this is by far the worst.

Good massage, very clean space, the ladies who did the massage were so nice and lovely, I will come back for sure. It felt so good to have an hour break between our city visit (well, the massage last a bit less than an hour but the massage vas very good). Thank you to the owners and the workers for their nice welcome.

Went last year and went again during my second trip recently to Amsterdam. This is my go-to place to get a massage in Amsterdam that i can trust is purely professional. These are professional therapists that I was so impressed that I came back twice! They take both cash and card but they will remind you that they prefer cash. They offer a wide-range of massages, which are definitely cheaper than most massages in the U.S. You won’t be disappointed, trust me :)

I had no idea what a Bian Stone Massage was, but I was traveling so I decided to try something, AND VERY GLAD I DID. Basically a full backside stone massage. It felt wonderful, but I am a fan of heat.

This is a hidden gem and real value for money! My masseuse Gila was amazing and very experienced and knowledgeable about pain relief. The one hour hot oil massage was absolutely transformative.

OMG, I needed that massage. Walking all week, my legs and back were killing me. Never had a Tibetan massage before, but I left feeling so rejuvenated and was able to walk around more. Highly recommend. Thank you!

This was an incredible experience of genuine relaxation, deep knowledge work of a massage practitioner, who was able to access every single tense group of the muscles during massage. An amazing combination of the hot oil massage with the deep tissue massage! Wish you continue this beautiful healing work 🙏
