Great location for Lunch & Dinner or just a quiet drink. Railway station is straight across the road. I have not eaten everything on this menu. Hamburger was great the pizza was WOW. and let's not forget about the steak. And the seafood platter. No complaints from me.

A lovely restaurant with a great team behind it. A varied menu with a lot of seafood options on it. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Food is fast and fresh. Great coffees, tea and deserts too. Easy parking and a couple of minutes walk away from the train station.

Maybe a bit expensive for basic seafood dish ($45 see photo) but that's a sign of the times. Other stuff on the menu is pretty good for pub food. A basket of chips isn't cheap. Great beer garden on the front balcony. Great view if you're train spotter lol. Good selection of tap beer, cider and ginger beer. The Angler's has its own unique atmosphere. You may love it; you may hate it. Mix of locals and day trippers.

Very pleasant spring Sunday afternoon dining; lovely fresh food, attentive service, comfortable spacing between tables for small and larger groups; leave room for dessert, they are good. Weather protected setting is adjacent to pleasantly presented and well maintained pub facilities offering a wide range of beverages, live music and buzzing crowd. Great midway meeting point for those travelling from metro/south and Central Coast/north. Easy access to railway for appreciation of surrounding vistas of water and bush.

What a wonderful surprise lunch at this place turned out to be! Fabulous pub food served by genuinely great customer service from both the bar and kitchen staff. Such a beautiful vibe on a sunny day. Chill, inviting and an extensive food menu complete with delicious seafood. I had the oysters and the standard chicken parmy with chips and salad and all was great. Do yourself a favour and go for a drive to quiet Brooklyn and stop in at the Anglers Rest for a drink or two at the very least! Then wander down to the water and walk it off. Such a terrific spot.

Had the fish & chips. Simply delicious, battered fish was not greasy, but perfect. Just melted in your mouth. Definately coming back. Yum yum.

Buffalo wings were bbq wings, not buffalo... Really good, however not the right sauce or heat. Crispy Hawkesbury prawn special was also disappointing. The whole prawn with shell was deep fried in batter. All that could be tasted was shell and batter. Great soda water with slice of lemon.

We have enjoyed an absolutely delicious Sunday Lunch at The Angler's Rest Hotel 😋 The steamed mussels were superb, as was the whitebait. My only comment would be that there needs some attention paid to the Wine List. It really let's the dining experience down.

It's been a few years since I last visited and was pleasantly surprised. The food was generally good and the serving size was very generous, except for the steak. The chicken schnitzel looked like the size of an emu breast and fed two people for lunch. All servings were generous and tasty. They forgot part of our order after only part of it was served. I had to chase it up but the problem was that the number had already been re-issued. They eventually got it sorted. Overall a good experience and we will be back.

Hot seafood platter was really good. Came with a seperate bowl for the 8 mussels in a tasty broth and crusty bread. The flathead, chips & salad was also delicious. Nice light batter too. Prices are on the higher side but its edible, unlike many other pubs and clubs.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
