Really does the job :) well located smack next to the Belfort. Great service - the first room we stayed in was very hot because hot water pipes were running underneath it but once we reported this issue we were moved to another room that was not too hot. All in all a good 4 star hotel :)

Charming city and really nice hotel. I would recommend to all. Location is great. The breakfast was the best we have had this trip. Our room was quite small, but adequate.

Excellent hotel and good rate. Rooms are comfortable, clean and efficiently serviced each day. Well located for visiting the beautiful square, with many excellent restaurants and bars. I enjoyed my stay.

Really liked staying here. The rooms are a good size, clean, and comfortable. The location is 10/10 for exploring the city - right next to the main square, and walking distance to the train station.

I can't give five stars because that needs expensive costs. Very clean, fantastic breakfast, and comfortable. The location is fantastic.

This place was right off the town center. Only 5 to 8 minutes walk to most of the museums. Rooms were very clean. Ok, parking is 30 euros per night and breakfast was 20 euros but it was a good breakfast and let's face it, everything in Bruges is expensive.

From their official website we booked "The Cosy Room" 16 square meters. Our room came with a double bed, 2 small night stands with lighting and outlets, a small desk, and tv. There was also a small, but sufficient closet space with shelves and a small safe. The bed was firm and comfortable for us. The bathroom had a tub with a shower, nice sink, mirror with good lighting and a hairdryer. In all this room was very nice and comfortable for 2 people. Everything was super clean and no weird smells. Our room faced the street but it was not overly noisy. The location can not be beat! So close to the Grote Markt and right beside the Belfry. You can walk everywhere and be back at the hotel to take a break or freshen up within minutes. They have underground parking for an additional charge of 30 Euros per day. I don't think a large vehicle will be able to access it. We drove a Renault Captur and it was just right. We did not book breakfast but they offered it for 20 Euros per person. There was a small grocery store very close for drinks and food. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Perfect location. Clean. Very friendly staff. Reasonable price.

Fantastic location next to the Belfry. Did not want to leave. Made to feel welcome on arrival. Our rooms were in the old part of the hotel overlooking the memorial church. Very quiet. Rooms were really comfortable and clean. Highly recommend

One of the best location hotels in Bruge. Very near the main square, very near the canals, just step out of the hotel and you are near to wherever you want to go. The price you pay for this is that the rooms are small. If I wanted to walk past the bottom of the bed, I had to do it sideways. Watch out for the price of parking your car at the hotel, at ā‚¬30 per night it is expensive. The breakfast at the hotel at ā‚¬20 is also expensive and the staff weren't bothered in replenishing food items when they ran low. I asked for a boiled egg and had to wait for 15 minutes.

Room is sparkling clean. Very central location. What turned us off was the sweage smell that you get in the morning. We literally had to rush to check out. Without that, the stay there would have been lovely.

Perfectly located for all central Bruges tourist attractions and restaurants. Small room but relatively well appointed. Room servicing and cleaning was a bit hit and miss.

We felt so lucky to stay at the Martinā€™s and how centrally located it is right behind the Belfry. Loved how easy it was to just walk out the front door and begin exploring all the wonders of Brugge. The hotel rooms were nice, but very small and a little lack luster. We didnā€™t mind this though given we spent almost no time in our room besides sleeping. We were very impressed with the breakfast. Absolutely delicious with a wonderful and large selection. This hotel is very quaint and fairly quiet. Would stay here again!

Fantastic location...couldn't be more central!! New section had clean, modern rooms, very well heated, super bathrooms. Breakfast was terrific.....huge selection, well organised. Helpful friendly staff....sorted out a problem I had with a soft bed.....found another room immediately. Some other reviewers have complained about the labyrinthine layout.....but frankly, once you've done the trip to your room a couple of times, it's NOT an issue! Highly recommended........

The hotel is very well placed just off the main square. Great staff and a nice hotel that's good value. The rooms are beginning to look a little shabby and would benefit from a really deep clean, particularly the bathrooms. Cleaning services could be better, some stuff from a previous guest found under the bed.

The location is the best part being near many wonderful chocolate shops and eateries. The reception area was very warm, however there was a heat wave that was not normal. The room was pretty tight and not much on amenities. Just the basics. It was comfortable with air conditioning which was great. The staff was also very helpful with getting around the area.

This hotel has a strong "conference venue" feel. Bland decor, long corridors, professional but slightly cold staff. The room was great; comfortable bed, great shower, but the overall feel was cold and sterile. Great location in the middle of town though. And if you're driving, you don't need to pay the ā‚¬30 hotel parking fee but can instead park in one of the nearby (<5 minutes walk) underground car parks for ā‚¬16.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my family. As we had an early flight from the U.K we emailed ahead to request early check in and they quickly responded advising they would if possible. We arrived 2 hours earlier than check in and were allowed into our rooms. The hotel is a stone's throw from the Belfry so you can hear the chimes which is nice. Great location and staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast was perfectly nice and rooms clean and comfortable. Just be careful about leaving the window open as mosquitoes were a bit of a problem in our room. Would definitely stay here again.

Very conveniently located just by the market square. Itā€™s a good launchpad for discovering Bruges. Handy for bars, restaurants and sights. The room was comfortable but unremarkable. Bed was comfortable and the shower effective Breakfasts were plentiful. Not always to my taste, but plenty of choice, and the toaster was rubbish. There are plenty of other hotels close by and I feel that if I return, I would probably look at one of those, but I would also be happy if I came back here

2nd time at this hotel. Our room was very small and dark but served it's purpose. They still lack storage in the rooms and there is no tea/coffee facilities. Staff very polite and helpful and the location is perfect, just a few steps away from the belfry and the square.

Great hotel. The room was lovely and modern, the hotel is situated in the most perfect location almost in the middle of the market square. My only criticism the bathroom could have been cleaned a little better and needs regrouting. Other than that this place was perfect!

  • 5/5 Megan van J. 1 year ago on Google
Right across from the square, wonderful restaurants all around, overall the location was perfect. The room itself was very nice too and the hotel had an area downstairs where you could buy travel items you may have forgotten and snacks.

Great location, rooms are clean, although on the smaller side. The staff is very friendly. The bathroom is nice There is no kettle or coffee pot in the rooms, but there are places close to the hotel to grab a coffee. The a/c has an annoying light on it. I like to sleep in the dark, but that light is bright.

Great location in the city centre. Comfortable and clean hotel. However, would be nice to have an electric kettle and a small fridge in the room. Signs for house-keeping door tags and at the elevator were also quite confusing.

Great location. The rooms are renovated, but here and there small things could be better. This hotel is ideal for tourists. Breakfast is simple, but nice. Martins in Leuven is slightly more high-end

I only stayed one day in Martinā€™s Brugge, the room is not big but I enjoyed the friendly staffs here!

Nice location, unfortunate timing for us for going there cause we couldnā€™t park the car anywhere near. There was wk wielrennen šŸš“ā€ā™‚ļø so that ment we could not get near the hotel. Would have been nice if they send an email or gave a phone call about that in advance. Then also the housekeeping asked knocked on the door twice even though they have a list saying we didnā€™t checked out yet. The first time we said :NO and the second time she just came in while my friend was in bed and I was in the shower. Totally rude.

No open bar and has more to which about the breakfast. The rooms are smal but good standard.

  • 5/5 Amanda S. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is nice, super close to the Markt. The room we stayed was comfortable and had some amenities (soap, body lotion, shower cap, cups, shoe shiner), no minibar though. Nice bed and covers. The view to the back was nothing fabulous, but we could see some medieval buildings which was awesome. Staff was friendly and scheduled us a taxi for the next day since we had to leave really early in the morning. We're definitely going back.

Perfect location for seeing Brugge, in easy waking distance of everything you want to visit. Nice clean room, comfortable, but you must shower in a narrow bathtub. Service is very friendly and the breakfast table is excellent with many choices of good quality.

Martin's Brugge is in the heart of the town. Very easy to get to all the tourist sites, and a lovely walk to get away from all the tourists as well. (I suggest finding food outside of the centre - there are so many options!!) I took a cab in from the train station, then walked back to the train station. Both took about 12-15 minutes. If you travel light I suggest walking as the town is simply beautiful. The staff were very kind and spoke English. Some of the reviews complained about not having extras in the room, but I disagree. There was shampoo, soap, lotion, and the room was very clean. I didn't get the breakfast, so I can't speak to that. I liked wandering the streets to find fun treats.

Price/quality is bad with this hotel. I paid ā‚¬160 per night, the least I expect is a comfortable bed. It was like lying down in a crater, unfortunately I came back with a sore back. Also the room is way too small. Breakfast is okay, there is not a lot of variation. However, the room is clean and the location in the city centre is great. But definetely not worth the price, if it was around ā‚¬90 per night it would be a right price.

I've never heard of Martin's hotel chain until we were rudely greeted by a man (who seemed to be Irish) at the front desk, he was judgemental and condescending towards my husband and I, we let the first abrasive comments go, but when he repeatedly kept berating us on our simple questions my husband spoke up, at that point I think he realized how rude he was being and changed his tune. The room was a nice size with a comfortable bed, however the excessive dust on the heated towel rail warmer got all over my nice black blouse and pants, there are also no substantial views from this hotel, all you see are breweries and brick walls. Given the choice, I would pass on this place and find other accommodations. There are plenty of fabulous places to stay in Bruges, go there.

Lovely hotel, friendly reception staff and fab location near all amenities. Only downside was no wardrobe only a rail with 3 clothes hangers and no chest of drawers, in bedroom. Breakfast was good and good choice of foods. Overall good for a short stay in Brugge.

Perfect location to all of the biggest tourist spots. Great self service shop, lovely breakfast and helpful staff. Only down side was accessibility of windows, we had to ask staff and we had a load of mosquitos even before opening the windows...

Rooms are small, but clean and fit for purpose. Ideal location if you want to be in the center of everything on offer in Brugge. Do not confuse the front desk staff with concierge service. They were polite and friendly, the team at the front desk during our stay were not aware of the waffle making workshop on offer at the House of Waffles directly around the corner from the hotel.

Fantastic location with just a short stroll to main square. Check in was quick and friendly. The room, 802, was large with huge bed. The breakfast was good with enough to satisfy everyones taste. I would have given 5 stars but room 802 was at level -2 and the furthest away from reception and having to negotiate numerous short stairs.

Fantastic location in the centre of town immediately behind the clock tower. Great breakfast buffet, very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms but the decor is a little tired.

Martin's Brugge is a comfortable hotel with comfortable modernly furnished rooms that is located within very close walking distance to the market square and dozens of restaurant and snack bars. Breakfast is also available (for a price). all this at an attractive price.

Very clean and bed comfortable. Air conditioning is fairly quite and good to have. Shower worked well enough. Not much clothing space so I didn't unpack. Great location for walking around Bruges. Internet worked well and the breakfast was good.
