Wonderful hotel with medieval vibe, the friendly owner will be glad to tell you all about its history. The location is central in the old city, everything is walkable from the hotel, there is also affordable parking a few steps from the hotel. The rooms are spacious, lovely and clean. Great hotel for a romantic weekend.

I would give this hotel 6 stars if that was available. The owner is friendly, helpful and professional. He has paid attention to every single detail in the hotel room and the breakfast room. The room was immaculate and very charming as was the entire hotel. Great breakfast , especially the chocolate croissants and there was a great variety of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, etc. It's only a 5 minute walk to the center of town which makes its location ideal.

Family run hotel by Hans and his wife. Centrally located; within walking distance to many sites. Very cozy; OUTSTANDING BREAKFAST!! So yummy. Very nice room with a Queen bed on a quiet street thus restful sleep. Clean and well care for room/hotel.

10 Stars if I could!…it was like taking a step back in time…Hans and his wife (the hosts) could not have been more gracious. They were very informative about what to do with our free time and put out an incredible continental breakfast. Every morning. The rooms were spotless and clean. Hans is also a conservatory trained concert pianist and a true renaissance man. This is THE place to stay if you are going to Brugge!

Lucca Hotel, what an experience! Hans and his wife were just amazing people to meet and wonderful people to pick their brains during our stay. Do not be afraid to ask questions, or to even share your own experiences with him; you will be amazed how knowledgeable he is and his own willingness to share his experiences right back! It was my husband's and mine first time in Brugge, and staying in a medieval home to boot. The room was very spacious, and well equiped with everything you could need at your stay. Even housekeeping was very respectful and on point at getting any extras if you needed them. Breakfast is a must! This is coming from a couple who tends to skip them. You will not regret staying at Lucca Hotel

Loved our stay here. Personable hosts, fascinating history, delightful European continental breakfast in room built in the 1300s. Located just off the beaten path of the Market area of Bruges, so easily walkable yet quiet.

Stayed here for 3 nights in the run up to Christmas. Lovely hotel but it was the owner Hans who made us feel incredibly welcome. He is literally like a concierge & is very helpful for your trip to Brugge. A very knowledgeable man who is a formidable piano player. Suburb hotel, I would say best for couples & the breakfast is great as well. For the price this is a great value hotel & if I ever return to Brugge then I will look to book this hotel again. Also within walking distance to all the main attractions & a stones throw from the clock tower.

Hans and his wife take great care in ensuring guests have a comfortable stay, with a very generous breakfast provided, engaging and friendly conversation, and helpful tips provided for the visit to the historical location. I will be recommending this to anyone who visits Bruges!

Lovely old hotel nicely maintained. Very nice staff. Slightly noisy in our room due to street below.

Hotel Lucca is a lovely, quaint hotel in an excellent location in Bruges. The host and owner, Hans was exceptionally helpful and friendly to us - he even helped me carry my 20kg + suitcase up the stairs we we arrived, gave us great advice and a map + suggestions of where to go and what we could do. It was so lovely and welcoming & really contributed to what we found was common of a lot of the people in Bruges. The hotel itself is exactly like the pictures. The room was very comfortable, the bed was great and the bathroom had an actual bath!! Breakfast was included and was amazing in terms of the selection available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - it was a wonderful part of our short stay.

This was our second time returning to Hotel Lucca and it was just as special as the first. I meant to write a review after our first stay (Feb 2020) but no amount of words seemed to do it justice, however I felt compelled to do so this time out of respect to the wonderful owners. The hotel is a beautiful, gothic, old fashioned builiding but furnished so it is a thoroughly comfortable stay -wonderful bed, heaters, huge corner bath. It is full of intrique, charm and curiosity, everywhere you look there is something interesting which you somehow missed before. It is in a great location, just a few minutes walk to the main square and a taxi less than 10 minutes to Brugge station. But as many other reviews have highlighted, the most wonderful thing about this hotel, and the reason I'm sure I shall be returning in the future, is the wonderful owners, Hans and Rege. Hans is an extremely intelligent, charming and talented gentleman, full of interesting conversation and insight. He has a gift which makes you feel more inspired and alive just from talking to him. He and his lovely wife truly go out of their way to make every guest feel looked after, special, and happy on their stay. Many thanks Hans and Rege and we hope to see you again soon!

A lovely hotel in an old building in a quiet part of town but only a short walk from the main square. The owner Hans was very welcoming and helpful, and the room was spacious, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was excellent, with lots to choose from. Would definitely come back here on my next visit!

It was a great experience staying at Hotel Lucca. The hotel receptionist was very hospitable and knowledgeable about Bruges and Ghent. The room was in an old style, but very well maintained and spacious with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent! The location of the Hotel is great since it is not too far from the main square.

Great experience staying at Hotel Lucca. Hans was incredibly nice and helpful during my one night stay. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom/shower clean and modern. Excellent breakfast the next day! The Hotel is located a short walk from the main square so an ideal spot. If I could have changed my plans I would have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.

My family and I stayed at Hôtel Lucca for two nights during our holiday in Bruges, and had a fabulous time. The location is ideally situated close to the city centre and rooms are very spacious. However, what made our stay so special was the graciousness of host, Hans. Throughout the entire stay, he was very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel Lucca was the perfect place to stay in Bruges. The hospitality was amazing and Hans took pride in making sure we had everything we needed. This ranged from taxis to having breakfast available early, to advice on what to see and where to eat. We would stay here again for sure again. Hotel Lucca was quiet, had comfortable beds, and our room (28) was large with a king and full size bed, seating area and a very modern bathroom. There were plug-ins everywhere. We had a mini fridge, tea service, and glasses and corkscrews. The soft classic music in the common areas was soothing. We were surprised to see how many people were there at breakfast, considering how quiet it was during the day and night. It was very clean, fresh towels each day and individual heat controls with air conditioning. There is not a lift, so be ready to climb some stairs. It has a locked entry and you have a physical key for entry to the building after hours. We felt extremely safe here. The location is ideal, close to Markt and other squares and multiple restaurants and Gelato locations.

We had so much fun talking to the host. We stayed for just a night yet we enjoyed wat alot. The host is indeed very hospitable and very informative. The hotel itself is absolutely amazing and stunning. Breakfast is super! We highly highly highly recommend this hotel. 5 stars are not enough for it . We will come and visit again soon!

4 of us stayed here in May, 2023. If I could give 6 stars I would. Great location near main city square, charming rooms and excellent breakfast. Our host Hans was great - funny, knowledgeable, and responsive. Prices were very reasonable. Altogether one of the best places we've stayed. VERY highly recommended.

Stayed here in December to visit the xmas Market. The Market was awful and we will not visit again. But the Hotel made up for our disappointment, wonderful host Hans was a treasure and our room was full of atmosphere as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was a filling continental style breakfast, full of tempting meats, cheeses, breads and fruit. Plentiful coffee served by the ever attentive Hans We in tend to visit the Low Country again and will definitely stay here again.

If I could give 10 stars I would! This is a beautiful hotel and the perfect location for visiting this lovely city. The welcome we received was so warm and genuine. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel is so central and yet the area is quiet at night for a good night sleep. The superb beds also ensure this good sleep. A wonderful breakfast awaits you. This is surely a gem.

We were so please with our stay at Hotel Lucca. Our room was amazing and the hotel was so authentic you really felt you were in another time. The owner, Hans was extremely helpful and a very talented musician (he played a few pieces for us to enjoy) There was a great breakfast buffet every morning with a lot of options to choose from. The location was only a few blocks from the square and very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel and Hans.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this gorgeous hotel. Location is perfect, 5 minutes walk away from the central square. Thank you to Hans for looking after us so well!

Blew us away with their friendliness, hospitality, and the charm of the historic hotel, which is still within a couple minutes walk of the Belfry and the center of town. the room was amazing, truly amazing. it was very spacious, clean, and felt like we were staying in an apartment. Hans was great, very attentive, very positive, always looking for a way to help us. If we come back to Bruges, we would stay here again without even looking at other options.

This place is fantastic! The hotel is a very old building with all the charm of one yet provides modern conveniences. The details of the architecture and decor are astounding. The rooms are very large (ours had a spacious sitting room) with unusual and lovely appointments, all in keeping with the style of the hotel. Breakfast was a variety of fresh breads, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, cereal and yogurt. Not enough good things can be said about the host and owner, Hans. He and his wife were extremely accommodating and helpful without a hint of intrusion. Please don’t think about booking any other hotel in Bruges. You won’t be disappointed!

What a fantastic experience. The hotel is historic, super well located (close to tourist attractions but without noise), clean and new rooms, wonderful food, but the most special thing is the owners of the place. They take care of each guest as if they were unique. My husband and I loved the experience. We will be back for sure. Recommended for couples and families. 🤍

Where do I begin? Best bed in Europe. Very clean. Delicious breakfast selection with fresh ingredients. Such friendly and helpful owners/staff. Convenient location only minutes walking distance from some amazing sights and delicious food. Quiet and peaceful. Considered missing our outgoing train multiple times in favor of staying a few more days. We'll definitely be back.

Great location, very good service, in a location with lots of character, and history. I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lucca. The decor brings you back a few centuries back so it's very fitting as a base point for exploring Brugges. The breakfast is simple but tasty and if your lucky you might be able to enjoy a little piano concerto performed by the hotel's manager. Completely recommended!

Charming old style hotel, very central location. The owner Hans is a perfect gentleman. He and his wife have given great care and thought into all aspects of the hotel. Beautiful breakfast every thing fresh and tasty. Would definitely return and would recommend this hotel

A small hotel with a lot of character, refurbished to resemble the colours and structure of the original building, and located right in the center, at just a few steps from the old market. Rooms are of good size, very comfortable. Good and varied breakfast served in an ancient bricks' room. Service is AMAZING! Right after breakfast the owner played a classical number at the piano for us and other guests. We would definitively recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Bruges.
