The hotel was not as clean or updated as I expected. Rooms had an overwhelming smell of mildew; even with dehumidifiers in the space. Room was dusty, one toilet was not clean, bird droppings outside the windows. I loved the pool and swim up bar. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. They were always smiling and happy. Bartenders were excellent and perfected their craft. Awesome service. The massages were mediocre; I did expect better for the price, but it wasn't terrible. The resort is in an excellent location. Everything was relatively close, such as bars, restaurants, and shops. The resort is right on the beach, which is excellent. All in all, I would probably stay here again, but I will look for other options first.

wonderful time here with my family. the security guard is a bit rude. always bringing a negative vibe when having a good time with my family and asking for our room numbers implying that we don't belong there. other than that the location is amazing, staff are friendly, rooms are clean. it's Aruba! there's not much to complain about!!!

First night in Aruba. Room was not cleaned well. The smell of mold/mildew is over powering as soon as you open the door. Went to watch the sun set, around 7pm an employee told us to get up off the lounge chairs he had to lock them up for the night. Went back to room, decided to take a bath in the jacuzzi tub. As water drained from the tub, it flooded the bathroom. Requested another room. Had to wait until the next afternoon. 2nd room again the over powering smell of mold/mildew and not cleaned well. The resort does not accept cash. Make sure you have a debit card or credit card. The drinks you get from the bar is not worth the money. Highly over priced. The location of the resort is great. That was the only thing I liked about the resort. After this experience Divi Resorts will not be on my list to stay/vacation at.

First, let me say it was awesome in Aruba and on the beach at the Divi Aruba Phoenix. The Divi food is pricey but good. Didn't have time to eat the daily food specials. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Issues I had were with musty room, small older bathroom in Tower which is the older building. But heard musty in newer buildings as well. It is humid at the beach. And then there are the people that secure pool chairs/umbrellas but don't use them for hours on end. Supposed to be 2 hour away limit. But not enforced. For the beach palapas you need to sit at one and secure it before 6 a.m. if you want one you like. They go fast. People use towels and beach bags staged to secure spot. I would recommend sitting there and enjoy the early morning until they put out the beach chairs at 7. They may take your room number for the spot as well. Be sure to spend time at pool especially when staff feed the iguanas. Pool is also not cleanest as it requires manual cleaning because the skimmers/pumps barely work at all. But don't get me wrong. It was still nice. Take advantage of happy hour 2 for 1 drinks. Drinks are expensive. But they do not skimp on the booze in your drinks.

I had a wonderful stay. Restaurants are good. Staff is adequate. Ocean-view was the greatest.. $5 coffee and muffin in the AM cannot be beat. Although, I'm biased to the lower hotel area, this hotel was walking distance to a strip of action packed night life, if that's what you are looking for.

This property was Amazing & Beautiful! šŸ˜From the time we entered the staff was so friendly & attentive. Our suite was huge and very nice. And, most of all, it was clean!!!šŸ‘šŸ½

Arrive stressed, departed relaxed. Very clean! Friendly and helpful staff! I loved that there was music at the bar area but you couldn't hear it at the beach which is unlike the places next door. It wasn't overcrowded with guests, despite there being no extra rooms available. Very special place to relax. Will go back!

Iā€™d give this resort 3 1/2 stars if that were a choice. Overall the resort is beautiful but we did encounter some problems. We were traveling as a group of five couples with 5 one-bedroom units reserved. Upon check-in we learned the resort was over booked and ALL FIVE of our rooms were given away to someone else!!! The front desk staff offered to move us to another resort, but a resort that was not ocean front. We considered that unacceptable and pressured the manager to find us rooms. Finally they offered us three multi-bedroom units - not the best we had hoped for but at least our group was still together. The multi-bedroom units all had bedrooms on a second floor of the unit with a spiral staircase leading to the second floor (not the best option for a group of 60+ and 70+ seniors). The rooms were nice, but dated. Our ice maker did not work; there was a large crack in the sink bowl in our bathroom; and the the showers doors in all the bathrooms needed repair. As for the resort itself, the grounds are beautiful. The staff are some of the most friendly people we have met. The food in the restaurants was delicious and of great variety. With all those issues I couldnā€™t see giving this resort 5 stars. We would probably stay here again hoping our room mix-up was a rare anomaly.

Have to give an overall 3. The staff was great but there were several issues at checkin with our travel party. Also the rooms have a very musty smell too them and even alerted the housekeeping staff but nothing was done to remedy it. Also the beds are VERY hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. Lack of restaurants on site is a little disappointing. Beaches and location were great with many other options within walking distance.

The Phoenix is Top Notch. The Staff are absolutely wonderful and make everyone feel like a VIP. I Have felt this and see it with others. the Rooms are Very nice and love the easy access to pools and the many palapas on the beach. Pure beach is a great place for food and drinks. The Phoenix is also in a Perfect position for the sunset ,offering many different view options. Highly recommend

While the grounds were beautiful and the staff was friendly (besides the unapproachable front desk), this was the WORST hotel room I have ever stayed in. There was a terrible moldy odor and black mold(?) on the vent, ceiling, and closet area. I do understand being in the tropics creates this issue a lot faster, but it is completely unacceptable to have this in a room that they are charging people and arm and a leg for.

Rooms were nice. Half of the beach had a bad odor. The are numerous around the pool with iguana poop on the furniture. The smell was awful. PureOcean restaurant had poor service and mediocre food. Housekeeping for the rooms never left adequate towels, toilet tissue or toiletries. Many other better choices to stay.

We bout our timeshare here 10 years ago. Due to babies and covid we took forever to come back. Our room wasnā€™t clean at all. Dusty, old, runned down. I am so beyond disappointed with the quality of our room. I know we own this timeshare, but I donā€™t even want to come back. If youā€™re booking making sure you book, youā€™re staying in the newer part of the hotel. And our room is in the ā€œpenthouseā€ terrible. So disgusted. Staff is great, beach is nice but the quality of the room really ruined it for me

We love Divi Phoenix!! We purchased our timeshare in 2010 and have vacationed here almost every year since (except during the pandemic). It's a perfect location, at the tail end of the Palm Beach high-rises, with the most incredible sunsets. There is a board walk that stretches all the way from Divi Phoenix as far north beyond the Ritz Carlton. It's very safe for walking, and you can stop off to enjoy the entertainment, shopping, and eateries in many of the hotels along the boardwalk (Hilton, Playa Linda, Barcelo, Holiday Inn etc.) If you prefer to walk on the roadside rather than the beach, Divi Phoenix is within walking distance of dozens of classy and/or casual restaurants, vendors, and shopping. There is so much to choose from! It's also only a short taxi ride or public transit to the low-rise area or downtown Oranjestad. The rooms are clean and spacious. Some minor updates are needed. Our timeshare is a one bedroom with a full sized kitchen, dining room, living room, private queen bedroom, 2 full bathrooms (2 showers), and a spacious balcony overlooking the beautiful pool and ocean beyond. We feel blessed to own this little slice of paradise.

We have been to aruba several times. This is our 1st stay at the Divi Phoenix . The purebeach Cafe runs out of food items such as ham and mushrooms, which are on their breakfast menu. The served breakfast has an issue with opening at a consistent time in the morning. The morning we were leaving, the CafƩ decided they were going to open at 7:10 am. This cafe was opening at 6 am. My husband, who is diabetic and I were sent to the purebrach deli to get breakfast at 6:30 am, and Ms.Peters told us they did not serve breakfast until 7 AM. We were catching an early flight, and he needed to eat and take insulin. I also found that having 1 bathroom on the beach complex is a problem when you have a hotel 60% full that are on the beach. Staff was not always friendly either. Ms B. Peters from the purebrach deli deserve a big thanks. When I explained the need for my husband to eat, she went out of her way to give us breakfast at6:30am in the morning.

Our rooms were so lovely. We had a wonderful view of the ocean. The food at Pure Beach is excellent and the service is friendly. Eve, Daniel, and Darvon of activities were very kind and most helpful to my grandchildren with kite making. Eve was very attentive to my granddaughter when she was in the pool and her floating came undone. Eve noticed her jump in during aerobics and have difficulty and pulled her out before I could reach her. Charlotte, the concierge, made us feel at home and welcomed our questions. She was very helpful .

This spot is recommended. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. The rooms are slightly dated but function fine. We lived in a 1 bedroom suite for a week and it was good. Cooked food and hosted family. The beach and pool are good. Not too busy. Lots of space.

Purchased a gift of a massage and facial for my husband at the Pure Indulgence Spa located here. Excellent experience for my husband. Staff was fantastic! All in all an excellent experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and staff very courteous and helpful.

Awful experience! Paid for ocean front beach tower with an adjoining room for another couple. Took 3 hours to check in because they booked us in the wrong rooms. Even after showing them receipt from Divi, they still did not put us in proper rooms. We were towers away and had no oceanfront beach rooms. The rooms smelled horrible of mildew and mold. So much that our clothes and belongings smelled like it. Our friends had to have 2 humidifiers in their room and was emptied 2-3 times a day! We had the breakfast plan but had to argue multiple times with management to include this, even though our booking receipt with Divi clearly showed it. Housekeeping came into our room 3 times and cleaned even though we had the do not disturb sign up. One time I was asleep on couch and she continued to clean after I told her not too. I had valuable laying out each time. When I told manager she said oh well, I will say something!!! Really??!! When we checked out, they had put our breakfasts on the bill, again I had to spend an hour arguing to get them off! Horrible experience there!!!

Will not be back here again. Booked 2 ocean front rooms. Up on checking in it took almost 3 hours. And there was no line. First rooms smelled so bad of mold and had no ocean view. The other room we booked looked at side of another building under construction. Reservations came with breakfast yet they tried to tell us breakfast was not included. Pool bar was closed and under construction. Another whole building was closed for renovations. Saws, tools and workers were very loud the entire stay of 7 days. Pool was filthy the entire stay. Breakfast service and food was horrible as well. Ate there 6 days in a row and 3 of the days our orders where messed up. Servers were not friendly at all. Restaurant ran out of straws and silverware for carry out. Omeletteā€™s were burnt. Just overall bad experience. Spending $8000.00 on 2 rooms to have this experience is not acceptable.

The Phoenix is my favorite resort in Aruba. Great bar tenders and other staff. Awesome beach and sunset views too. Super nice and helpful when my daughter got hurt. The beach is A+.

Could not ask for more courteous service. The room and grounds are kept up very nice. There is no trash to be seen. Breakfast has been excellent. Highly recommend!

A great location on a excellent beach. I only gave the room three stars because there seemed to be a problem with a musty smell on our floor in the tower building. Rest of complex was very clean and well staffed. Only other complaint was they are under construction soooo lots of jack hammering etc. Hopefully will be completed before I would return again.

Fantastic place to stay while vacationing in Aruba. Very nice and clean room with great view of the beach. Located on the 4th floor with ocean view. This villa really was impressive for my beautiful vacation stay. I LOVE ARUBA!!

Love this place. We usually stay at the Marriot but booked at the Divi this time around. The beach is great and access to the pool area/beach from your room is super convenient. Most places make you go back to the lobby and through there to the pool or beach, but the Divi has multiple access points. Itā€™s an easy walk to downtown on the street or the beach. Definitely enjoyed this location and not having it be packed like the other spots are currently

We love the Divi Phoenix Beach Resort! We have spent many, many vacations are the Divi! The resort is right on the beach, just as the name suggests! Staff is so friendly and kind. Two pools and the whole ocean to choose from. The restaurants onsite are both great opinions. Rooms are absolutely beautiful with an amazing view no matter what building, and floor you are in/on. We love the Divi, and enjoy bringing new friends to share the Divi love!

We did an Interval International exchange into the Divi and received a studio on the 12th floor in the older tower. I heard from several sources that that building was not remodeled and you should try to get moved to the newer building but they will not do that on an exchange. The room was lovely and the ocean view phenomenal, but definitely the room was on the rough side. Furniture beat up. Outlets that didnā€™t work. Bathroom super tiny but did have jet tub. Nice double closet outside bathroom so you could at least put bathroom things there. Even though a studio a very nice kitchen area with full size refrigerator with ice maker! Convection microwave. Huge balcony. Some issues in room on check in: Coffee pot didnā€™t work. No dish towels, kitchen soap or paper towels. No frying Pan. All addressed quickly by staff. Not as clean as we are used to. Daily housekeeping not offered but they do change towels and get trash. But despite our room deficits, we thought the beach and resort itself offered a great stay. The beach is lovely and you never have issue getting a palapa or chair. You are on lower end of palm beach but itā€™s so peaceful there. Easy walk to Palm beach. They have several pools and huge kiddie pool area so itā€™s awesome for families. Friendly helpful staff. Would we stay again, yes. Although weā€™d try to get a newer room.

We have been going to the Divi Dutch Village for years. We could not get a room there with our timeshare and were placed in the Phoenix resort. No comparison at all. The room was extremely dirty, nothing was wiped down. The entire resort was not well kept at all. The air conditioners were leaking, the stairs were chipping, the elevators were not working, and the pools were cloudy and not clean. I was very disappointed in the service. Even though they ā€œcleanedā€ the room on one day out of our 7 day stay, we came back and yet everything was STILL not wiped down and the floors were still dirty and sticky. Please keep in mind that we were literally in the top of the line room as we had the penthouse. Gross.

Husband and I enjoyed our stay. Room was great, food was good, beach was gorgeous and clean. Only disappointment was the pool was dirty every time I went which was 1st thing in the morning so I didn't understand why it wasn't clean.

We had a great time staff was great but hotel cleanliness wasn't . Floors and bathroom was a big issue I think supervisors should check rooms after there cleaned so guest can be satisfied. Shower head was molded and shower curtain smelled horrible. But other then that hotel staff were very friendly the manager accommodated us we were pleased how they handled the situation . Thank u divi phoenix.

The resort was a beautiful one with all the accommodating amenities needed for beachfront resort. Pool. Hot tub and full service spa, 2 restaurants including fine dining option and a deli/coffee/sweets ice cream area. There was a 4hour delay to get into room after check-in. The room is as basic as it gets not a lot for decor but the view was Amazing and the concierge was Awesome and very accommodating She recommended a great Tour and excursions. Dinner recommendations. The front desk clerks were not as pleasant or accommodating at all with anything. That was very disappointing. However The resort served us well. It was all we needed and more, very clean and beautiful oceanside and poolside.

Every single person is so friendly, fun, courteous and a pleasure to talk with. Beach area is great and not too crowded. Food is wonderful. I have been here 4 times so far and will continue to come back.

The Room had an order to it. Like a mildew smell, bugs were all over the counter top. They did not dump the garbage from the last guess which had food and which could have caused the bugs. The breakfast was great. The location was the best part. The tub in the bathroom was coming apart so we took showers. You had to travel to different floors to find the ice machine. The best part is the location.

This was my first time visiting this resort. The resort was beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly, every day they saw you. With all the guests visiting, they remembered your face, making you feel noticed. The food was delicious and fresh. The pools were kept clean, and the beach was beautiful.

Divi Phoenix is such a great value and location. The beach is beautiful and outside of the touristy section of Palm Beach making it highly sought after. It's facing away from the other hotel lights and toward the sunset making every night a beautiful light show. The shops, restaurants, and pools are clean and well maintained. The resort services are valuable and pretty much anything you need is within walking distance. This is definitely a favorite go-to for us.

We've visited all the Divi hotels in Aruba and this one is by far our favorite. At check in, Kimberly was incredibly helpful and courteous. While she was checking us in, multiple other guests approached her and attempted to skip the line. Despite their behavior, she remained kind and professional. The staff is lovely and pools are great.

I was in room 760 great view of the ocean and the pool area room had two bathrooms with two showers which was great the room was quite big had a kitchen dining room and living room to watch TV and a balcony for two people that was more than enough the resort had one restaurant for dining on the beach or inside had a pool restaurant where you could have breakfast lunch or dinner we were the first high-rise entering Palm Beach we were close enough to the major hotels where there were many restaurants to choose from the only negative thing I could say is our combination washer dryer didn't work we had to go to another building and that building had three washers and only one dryer so that became a problem Plus I didn't know that November was part of the rainy season so we had some kind of rain some of the days and then the sun came out but it didn't stop you from doing most things Plus entering the ocean was a little rocky I think because of the storms all in all it was a good place to stay

This is our home away from home! Between Christian greeting you when you walk in, Sandra smiling at you when she passes you a towel or JR at the the bar, they treat you like family! The beach is beautiful, the pools are clean, and the drinks are yummy!

We enjoyed our week's stay at Divi Aruba Phoenix. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Our room on the 10th floor had incredible views. It's in a great location. The on-site beach is very nice and not too crowded and getting a Palapa is no issue. A short walk will land you in Palm Beach for all the activities or Eagle Beach for peace and relaxation. This was our first time in Aruba and we look forward to the next visit.

Great place for a quiet stay. The other hotels are like big parties but this place is more quiet but still offers great amenities. The bar has great staff and great food. One of the best burgers I've had outside of the USA. It is right on the beach and must be staying at the hotel to use beach chairs

Divi Aruba Phoenix is a great resort for families and adults. The location is great. It is a short walk into Palm Beach/Noord. There is a breakwater "pier" that creats a gentle ocean beachfront perfect for floating and playing in the water. The service is very good. You do have to remember that Aruba is on "Island time" so what some might consider as slow service, is actually typical for most places on the island. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Full kitchens are available and well stocked if you want to save some money by buying groceries on the island and cooking in your room. Just make sure your unit has a convection microwave if you plan on baking or cooking frozen foods. There are gas grills available and, with some improvisation, you can cook a frozen pizza. There are some kids activities available; just check the Divi app for a list. There is no all inclusive option at Auba Phoenix. Happy hour is from 5-6 daily and offers 2 for 1 drinks. I recommend BYOB (buy some duty free alcohol at the airport or bring it from home - Aruba allows 2.25 liters of wine, a bottle of alcohol or 1.5 gal of beer to be brought in) for the rest of the time. Overall, Divi Aruba Phoenix is an excellent choice for a vacation on Aruba depending on what you want.

We stayed here in 2016 and then again a few weeks ago and wow has this place gone downhill. They are renovating now but itā€™s way overdue. The room was so musty/moldy smelling with water literally pouring through the sliders on the deck and running along the ceiling when it rained. Water also consistently leaked through the vents. The floor left our feet black after ā€œcleaningā€ and everything is just completely run down. Because of the construction, the pool was constantly filled with debris, like little foam balls or something. Anytime we swam it was loaded in our suites and hair. We all left with colds and ear infections. Really disappointed with the state of things because itā€™s a great location with friendly staff. Hopefully once they renovate the buildings, it will be better but it was sad that we had to deal with all of it during our stay. Side note, our families timeshare is the two floor penthouse suite on the top floor. Really expected better considering the rates are through the roof.
