Three rooms and a kitchen. However, an interesting museum that in fact is a Communist-time Romanian flat. Here one can see how a Romanian family lived that time. There are many objects, furniture and tools that You can see and even touch. Why don't You sitä down and listen to old Romanian hits? I did and enjoyed. In the first floor there is a small coffee shop whete You can rest a moment and check your photos that You took in the museum. Nice pubs and bars around.

Really interesting and interactive museum! The information is really concise and well organised. They have Romanian, English and Spanish explanation and the staff is really friendly. They also have a small coffee shop where you can order a coffee and sit outside in order to enjoy the old side of Bucharest. I recommend to give it a go!

If you are in Bucharest for a few days and you are interested in history in general and that of Romania in particular, this small museum is worth it. It is a compilation of objects, books, furniture, clothing... from the time that Ceacescu's communist regime lasted. The explanation is also in Spanish on the panels and the guide is an expert and enthusiastic, he speaks English very well. The current price is 40 RON.

My partner randomly found this museum through a Google search and I’m glad he did! It’s located in the Old Town and was really informative and well curated. We’re happy we went to this museum rather than the national museum because you actually do learn about Romania's communist past here. Full of cool items from the past and great information - spent about an hour here. Iulia was nice and answered any questions we had and the man downstairs in the cafe was also nice.

Interesting museum about the communist era in Romania (family, education, work, politics and its end in 1989). All information is translated into English and Spanish. Those of us who did not live under the Ceausescu regime can get an idea of what it meant for millions of people.

An exciting insight into the history of Romania during communism. The rooms are beautifully themed and equipped with information boards in different languages (Romanian / English / Spanish). The team is friendly and happy to provide further information if you have any questions. The prices are reasonable.

Great host and pragmatic cute little inexpensive museum to quickly learn about history of 19th and 20th century leading up to communist times, right in the Center of old town so good to stop by for a quick crash course on history. Allows photos with old stuff as well unlike other museums where you can’t touch antiques

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The museum is fun because it's 'hands on' with the soviet stuff, so suitable for all interests/ages.

No front to any other museum in București, but this one was the best and most fun! There were a lot of information throughout the flat, not only in Romanian, but also in a well translated English - and Spanish! You can tell, someone really thought about how to curate this (every area has its own theme) and the folks working there are really nice and helpful, switching into English when they see you struggling. With every question we could go to Andreea and she even showed us how things worked even though we didn't ask (but that's pure shyness). We took an hour reading everything, really getting into it. But if people don't want to read a lot, they can just look at and touch everything (!), take photos or listen to the music. All in all it was a great experience and I want it to recommend it to everyone visiting Bucharest!

Alright this is the coolest museum in Bucharest. Such an interactive place AND you can drink alcohol or coffee in the museum. The staff is awesome. Easy 2-3 hours of fun here. I am not even a museum person and this was great!

Located in the historic center of Bucharest, the museum recounts numerous aspects of the period of the Socialist Republic, from its beginning to the Revolution of 1989, also showing insights into the daily life of the time (objects, furnishings, books and much more). A great strong point is represented by Octavian, a fantastic guide as well as a very well-prepared student who is available not only for explanations, but also for questions and the exchange of ideas. Impeccable level of English!!! If you are in Bucharest, you cannot miss this opportunity to discover or delve deeper into this chapter of Romania's history.

Well worth a visit. We could walk through the rooms at our own pace but there was a kind and ready-to-help guide available should we have any questions. We speak no Romanian but her English was flawless and we learned a great deal. Good for all ages and as interactive as they promise. We took a little less than an hour but could have stayed longer if we wanted more pictures etc.
