Tried the Peruan treats in the city centre and I was left with a good feeling. The service is as nice as it can get, the owner (native peruan) and his wife doing a great job at it; the treats are very good and pack a personal touch, being as good as it gets. Hat down and I I'll be definitely coming back.

Great place, homely atmosphere with lovely owners! Delicious traditional Peruvian food (do not miss the empanadas and cakes), specialty beer and delicious coffee. All this with fine Latin music in the background and the prices are cheap. If we lived in Bucharest this would undoubtedly be our regular cafe.

The owner was so kind And friendly. He suggested the best authentic Peruvian food to us (one with the fish ) and amazing spicy lentils soup. The cafe is so cute and it’s just in the heart of Bucharest in the old town. If you are in Bucharest never forget to stop by this place, highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this place while searching for dessert :) We truly enjoyed it! Latin atmosphere that reminded us of our time in South America. Empanadas were great, and the Pie de Lemon is superb. The place is family owned, and it gives a cozy feeling.

Absolutely awesome place! Alfajores are a must try cake, chica morada is a nice drink reminding me of a milder grape juice (didn't imagine I would ever drink corn juice, especially purple corn!). The empanadas were also good, a bit spicy. Mushroom ones were my favorite!

The ambiance is indeed Hispanic. The food is authentic and delicious. Was surprised to find such an authentic food so far away from home. Would totally recommend it. We enjoyed the beef empanadas the most.

I stumbled onto this wonderful place by accident and this is the perfect definition of happy accident. The atmosphere is soulful with a blend of traditional music, delightful smells and welcoming smiles. I was shown how to get the authentic empanada with lime experience. Tried a local soda drink and a traditional cocktail and ended with a desert. I loved everything about it and will surely return.

I love the concept of the Cafe. It looks great inside with lots of potential, however when we visited saturday evening the guy at the counter was looking tired and confused. I order 2 coffees and 1 cake , repeat my order 3 times and only received 1 coffee with cake. There wasn't good selection of Peruvian sweets and cakes on that day. They need fresh energy.

Awesome place! Great coffee, delicious sweets, tasty peruvian food (try ají de gallina!), all hosted by the owners, a lovely couple, in a historic building in the middle of old town. Very recommended!

Cool place that has a few Peruvian dishes, sweets or drinks. Only tried the chicha morada while here and you could notice that it was done well. The owner is very friendly. The place could do with some better devorations.

I just found this place by chance and was treated to a fabulous delicious alfajor, very moist, sweet and crumbly, simply perfect. I'll be coming back and tasting the whole menu 🤩🤩

Good empanadas, interesting blend of coffee, great collection of tea Genius deserts A little cold inside The underside of the hot chocolate plate was not clean.

  • 2/5 Javi 2 years ago on Google
Although the owner is very nice and the place is beautiful, the food and drinks are not at the level of the Peruvian cuisine. The “tres leches” was good but it wasn't really “tres leches”, it was just a wet cake with coconut. The “brownie” was a chocolate cake with coconut (another recipe) and I don’t know what the “pisco sour” was, but it tasted horrible. Nothing like a real “pisco sour”. I don't recommend it at all.

This is my second visit at La Luz and everything was very good as it was in my first visit. This time I tried Aji the gallina with a dark cusqueña (peruvian beer) The Aji de gallina was very tasty, I really enjoyed and the touch of spicy was the right one. Rice could be better but it was alright too. I was still hungry so I’ve got the chicken empanada and also a meat empanada and was delicious, I really liked that is served with the slice of lime as thats the way we eat in Peru. The service was very good. The gentlemen who served is also Peruvian, very friendly, he was recommending me some dishes which I would probably have it in my next visit. In conclusion: if you are visiting Bucharest you should go and check La Luz, clean and nice place, you will be in a friendly environment with really nice food.
