This bar could be great but unfortunately the drinks don't live up to the obnoxious price or the high quality ingredients used. As a trained mixologist I was shocked by the lack of control and standards here. Alcohol is poured straight out of the bottle with no jigger or even bottle topper to give the bartender any idea of how much they are actually pouring. The ingredients are very high quality and the recipes inventive and well balanced however the execution is disastrous. I am certain that the same drink has never been served here twice. As soon as I placed my order the bartenders switched languages said the name of my drink and started laughing, not a very comfortable experience for me. The cocktail looked wonderful with some great finishing touches, which I'm sure leads to some great insta posts, but the lack of standards during prep led to an unbalanced sour taste. If this bar could professionally execute the recipes on the menu it could justify the price. But at the moment it is severely overpriced.

The place is small and we hired entirely for our group during the first part of that evening. They have an amazing selection of alcohols and spirits all in an atmosphere of an old pharmacy. The list of cocktails is amazing. I had some Japanese whisky. Very unusual indeed. If you are in the area, I think this place, despite small, can offer a large and original selections that does worth stopping by. I recommend the place.

Two drinks costed around 40 euros which really seems reality for other European countries, but for Budapest it is expensive. Living in Budapest I will look for other options next time. Delicious and inventive cocktails!!! We were there earlier in the evening before more guests arrived, and we had a nice time chatting at the bar with the bartender / co-owner. These were maybe the best cocktails we had in Europe, and some of the best even across other cities we’ve visited. Nice decor with lots of glass bottles and pretty paintings of plants.

Richard and Zilia were both very accommodating and amazing bartenders. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a menu and waters. They helped make room for us at the bar and were helpful in listening to what cocktails we were interested in and suggesting drinks accordingly. Very knowledgeable about cocktails and were able to make me something off menu easily, or if they could not were able to suggest something else. The quality of bottles was nice and they have local spirits they can explain as well. Very cozy, great menu, creative menu, attentive, and good presentation. I don’t usually leave reviews but this felt important. My husband and I have been in bars in almost 40 countries and this was one of the worst experiences. We were really excited when we saw the menu - it was very unique! However, they were unable to make the drink that I wanted and 2 drinks my husband wanted because there was some sort of shortage? However we have had no issues in all the other bars in Budapest. We ended up getting 2 decent but nothing special drinks for a whole lot more expensive then you would find elsewhere. Then, they didn’t have a credit card machine which was not told to us up front. We had to pay by PayPal and it’s 2024. This makes no sense. The owner was there and was drinking more than anyone. He was rude to his staff in front of us as we sat at the bar and it seems like he just wants to penny pinch (such as not paying for a CC machine) and charge a lot for drinks to take in profits and not care about customer experience since he has a menu that can’t even be made. You’re better off going to the many other amazing bars in Budapest.

I love this place and I've been coming here for years--- the staff is friendly, in an area where a lot of drunk people pass by on the outside (and sometimes, come in and ask to only use the bathroom), but they always remain courteous. The people serving us have a great passion for creating and making drinks, and give their creations such attention to detail.
