The hotel is good, the breakfast is fabulous (they had more food that English breakfast...). Some negative aspects are: waiters were rude to us and cleanliness/maintenance of the rooms can be improbable. SPA center is really great, there are 3 areas: one outside (but where the water was too cold that nobody was swimming, In August time...) and 2 inside, consists of one area with 3 pools with thermal water and one pool with normal water (perfect temperature for swimming). Bus 26 has good connections to the city center. Island has a wonderful park where you can practice jogging 🏃‍♂️ eating at some terraces, etc. From outside the hotel doesn’t looks well but the rooms are comfortable enough. Per total is a good value for the money...

A special hotel due to its location on Margareta Island and the spa facilities offered. The hotel is modernly furnished, very well maintained, the cleaning services in the rooms are ok, the bed linen and pillows are of very good quality... it is very difficult to find anything to complain about this hotel. The breakfast is quite diverse. Excellent spa area as I said. If it fits into the budget, it is definitely a hotel to consider.

The hotel is located almost in the heart of Budapest, on an island that itself invites you to take long walks or sit down. Parking is available in the garages and outside. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and very quiet. There is no noise at all from the surrounding rooms. The bathrooms give a cramped impression at first glance, but they provide total comfort and the shower is really huge. The room furnishings are very modern and the views from the upper floors are spectacular. The staff are helpful, friendly and go out of their way to help with any queries. The breakfasts are fabulous. You will find absolutely everything you could possibly want and what you don't find, the chef will helpfully prepare. The coffee is a little worse, it's better to have it in your room, which - although capsule - is significantly better. The hotel allows pets and we encountered no problems during our stay. We will definitely return here again.

This is our second stay here, so it’s net positive. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the shower pressure is good in the bathroom. It’s great to have a balcony and both sides are river views. The location is brilliant if you don’t mind being in the city centre with a short taxi or walk to get off the island. It’s a small price to be surrounded by beautiful nature. Service is hit and miss, some staff are lovely, but some sections are completely overstretched and understaffed, making the lunch bar in the lobby inoperable, at peak time. Buffet breakfast is vast and something for everyone, we like healthy and it was fine. The spa is very easy to access and a joy to use, except for the front-of-house spa staff some of whom are exceptionally rude, not all but half of them, not sure why as we were always polite and without issues. Special mention goes to Balu’s unique service in the sauna room with his aromatherapy and music experience. (Fridays and Saturdays only). We both thoroughly enjoyed this and would recommend. The massage practitioners are also professional and good, I would recommend Tomas or Alexa if you like a firm massage.

Kind staff, clean rooms, good wellness. 👍 The kitchen could be better a bit. Not a luxury hotel, but at this price level it is totally correct. I can recommend it.

This hotel was chosen because of its spa facility. Unfortunately we are tight for time and could only visit the spa at 7am for a short while. When we entered our hotel room only 1 pair of slippers were provided for two guests. No one answered my call at the Housekeeping as all staff had left for home at 9pm. It seems all parts of the hotel shuts down at 9pm except for front desk who couldn't help on the issue caused by their housekeeping department and asked me to wait till 7am next morning which is too late for me. I am very disappointed as i expect this hotel to provide better customer service.

The hotel is located on an island with a beautiful park. Approximately 15 min ride to the center and an hour if you are walking. The room I received was beautiful and very clean but it had a plumbing issue that made me switch rooms 3 times. The reception didn't answer the phone and their service was unpleasant. The spa is very good with a variety of massage treatments, wet and dry sauna and thermal pools with different temperatures. Overall it was a fine stay.

The spa is too small for the hotel's size and quite crowded. It is also not exclusive to hotel residents but also used as a public spa by external people. The reception staff were not friendly, polite or helpful to us, but seemed friendly to locals. During check out the reception staff was dealing with a check in person which was taking long, when we requested politely to check us out and take our cards as our taxi was waiting in front. We then had to ask again after few minutes to just take our room cards as we had already paid and were late to get to train station, and were met with a disdained "oh you are late", before he finally took the cards from us. They gave us a room right next to the cleaning staff's supply room, who talk loudly starting early morning, making it difficult to sleep past 8AM. The washroom's exhaust was not working, and shower floor had black mold. One of the indoor pools and the steam room were out of order. They had a new offer for free breakfast with reservations, but that did not apply to older bookings which was disappointing. The island itself is really beautiful and ideal for jogging and riding bicycles. There is a bicycle stand next to the hotel from which one can rent bicycles. The city center is easily accessible by bus (it takes about 30min in total). The room had a lot of drawers and cupboards which was great, and the room safe was larger than average.

I would like to say a special thank you to the Guest Relations Manager- Mr. Gellert Nagy. My luggage was lost on arrival to Lufthansa. In his efforts to help me, he made endless phone calls to the airline and Budapest airport representatives ; he sent numerous emails on my behalf to customer lost and found in different countries. Because of his effort I finally got my luggage back on day 6 and I started to enjoy my vacation. His professionalism and sincere desire to help was amazing. This hotel has a great Guest Relations Manager. A big thank you to you, Mr. Nagy. Marina K.

All was exceptionally good. Except the food and the service at the bar in the lounge. Having had breakfast and lunch with excellent food all week we stayed, eating at night in the lounge a few times was a disappointment. Staff not very keen or interested in their customers and the food was of MacDonalds 'quality'. Can do with a big upgrade.

I'm absolutely unsatisfied, 3 times called the hotel before arriving to ensure they have conditioner , as my hair is super curly and impossible to wash it without it. The lady was kinda laughing on me how can I even ask this question, on arrival when I travelled since 4am( from London ) after the Qx conference wanted to go to swim and use the wellness area I just realised I won't be able to wash my hair ( as there was no conditioner in the entire hotel ) I had to walk 1 hr to get it after my long day, and not to mention I had missed the time what I could spend on wellness ( I had about 3 hrs on that night to relax and out of that 1 hr went for walk 😡 , I would have expected they will get it for me ) on top of that when I gave my details they said I'm in the system phone etc I said , I have never been here before , the phone what the hotel bombarded with texts was not mine but my sister phone ( we still trying to find out how they have got her number as she has never stayed in this hotel ). Receptionist stuff should listen to guests when they want to talk and give information not shut the gust down we have your information.

It is very difficult to write a review as I cannot find the page in English. However, I would like to pay compliments to the hotel for the hotel rooms, the health spa, the reception staff, and the dining room. Just one point : if one arrived late for breakfast sometimes one had to wait for more food and also hot water to be brought from the kitchen. However, very very good service and we hope to come back again

Hotel rooms and location is amazing. Unfortunately from the service level in the bar/restaurant I cannot tell the same, razher opposite. Additionally it is a pity on a 27 degree september day the outdoor pool is closed(apparently despite the weather, outdoor pool is closing on 1st September...)

I find the services to be of high quality and the staff friendly. The rooms are big enough and everything works correctly. It's been always a nice experience and we intend to come back again.

We wanted to have a romantic weekend with my wife at this hotel to which we have been coming to for over 25 years. Under the new brand we have noticed the service level falling. Upon arrival our Danube view guest room had no towels in the room and none of the USB ports in the room were working (absolutely 0 of the 6 or 8 USB ports). We did not bring a socket port connector. I tried many times to call the reception and they did not answer. I had a similar issue during my stay a month earlier with my kids, so I had to go down to the reception each time to follow up on the USB repair issue. They were not able to repair so we had to move to another room non-Danube view. I had a bottle of champaign I wanted to keep cold so in the new room I put it into the refrigerator only to find it was not working. I again had to go down to the reception to mention the fridge was not working as they did not answer the phone. They said a repoar person will come up to fix the fridge. When I mentioned that they never answer the phone, they said they are sometimes too busy with other customers (the reception area was completely empty of customers). We waited prior to dinner for a repair person to come and fix the refrigerator, but nobody came. I asked the reception when someone was coming as we didn't want to miss our dinner. Repair man came and said they would have to change out the fridge which they did the following day. During our stay none of the cleaning staff responded to us when we greeted them, we noticed most of them did not speak Hungarian in which case the hotel could at least train them in the basis of Hungarian greeting courtesy. Sad to see after 25 years that hotel quality and service has deteriorated so much.

We spent 4 amazing days in this resort. Professional staff and ready to help, comfort rooms daily cleaned. I would improve the variation of the breakfast since for more than three days it can be boring and also the spa capacity is not big enough for such an amount of guests. Although the water and the spa in itself was wonderful. Special thanks and compliments to our masseurs Suzanna, Attila, Dorina and Tamas! We experienced also the dinner buffet, with different options every evening it worth the money! We would come back!

The hotel is in a nice island and the environment is just very nice. It is kind of isolated without shops nearby but if you have your car or just want some place very close to the city center but with nice environment, this is the place. The warm pool and facilities are also well maintained. The spa is not for the hotel only so I will recommend to avoid public holiday or weekend.

Wonderful location. Easy parking . After long intercontinental flights we already dream about soaking in the wonderful hot spring water ,relax. Lunch is easy and good. Espresso, dessert also great. ,. Dinner has buffet option all you can ear so after spa we eat there. Breakfast : ebetything you xan imagine. Sumptous. We have been going there for 15 years and always our first stop arriving to Hungary, so we can relax before we continue our trip. I lived that we were allowed early check in after long tiring travel from the US

We had an incredible break - Ensana Thermal Margaret Island is in the perfect position to explore Budapest and and the hotel and spa were 5 star! Staff were great and couldn’t do enough to make our stay go well and the treatment therapists are brilliant 🤩 We can’t wait to go back to Budapest and will absolutely stay at Thermal Margaret Island - maybe even bring the kids next time x

The hotel is located in a cozy and clean area. On an Margit island. The parking costs very expensive on my mind, so we decided to travel there without a car. The room in an excellent condition with a new furniture. With a great view on a Danube river and embankment We liked the spa & wellness zone the much. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. What we would like to add - the additional one big blanket for the double bed. And to find out some another way to the swimming area. It is really not convenient to go in a bathrobe through the ophthalmogy clinics! It was a shock for us.

Nice hotel, on Magaret Island in Budapest. Friendly and helpful service. Rooms clean and spacious. Good food but only the buffet service was available in the restaurant. Great breakfast selection but difficult to get Earl Grey Tea (too popular) and just one slow fruit juice dispenser (!). Great place to stay.

Mostly fine on a two night stay 10-12 August everything works including spa, 5th floor room, restaurant and bar/cafe with bonus of being located on a large island park of greenery and gardens on the Danube, i.e. like being in the countryside. With first night being very busy i.e. almost full and many guests chose not to use the restaurant buffet, but a lighter meal in the foyer cafe/bar. However, no outside choices nearby, so the personnel struggled to keep up (heard local Hungarian guests complain and maybe missing one personnel member and/or a trainee/intern?); it was actually faster to order room service (25 minutes).... the second night was much better with fewer guests. Related to being busy, one had to ask after check in, for cups/glasses, remote control and then tv would not work, till replaced on 2nd morning. Possibly a good outside of peak times or holiday, e.g. winter choice when quieter, one can access spa and probably a better value rate.

The hotel is in a very quiet place in a beautiful park on the island, but still very well accessible by public transport. All hotel staff was friendly, professional and helpful, food was delicious and we really enjoy the spa, there is just a small problem with the accessibility of the spa, because you need to go through a medical center full of people. But overall it was a nice experience and I definitely recommend staying here.

we loved our stay there. Was our first time, with the kids, we had a great time. OK, rooms are nice, the spa is nice, but what really made it a really enjoyable experience was the staff. Whether in the restaurant during dinner when we just wanted some pasta for the kids and the people at the buffet called the people in the bistro to tell them they can send pasta our way if we don't want to go for the all you can eat experience, or during check-out when late check-out was a no-hassle experience and at no point did they make us feel rushed, just the friendliness and customer focus makes this place stand out. We'll definitely be back

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel recently and while I appreciated many aspects of my stay, there were a few issues that left me feeling disappointed. Though the service and amenities provided were impressive, the soundproofing of the room left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the elevator noise was audible even at night, which impacted our sleep quality. Furthermore, the lack of due supervision of the pool area was a concern. To my disappointment, we found a used band-aid lying around for days and kids were allowed in the pool without being asked to behave. This resulted in them screaming and jumping around in the pool, which made it difficult for others to relax. Infants were also allowed in the pool, although they could pee or poop anytime, because they are too young to control themselves. Despite expressing our concerns via email, we did not receive a response which was particularly disheartening. Overall, while I appreciated many aspects of the hotel, these issues gave me cause for concern about the level of supervision and attention to detail. I believe that addressing these issues would greatly enhance the guest experience and make for a more enjoyable stay for all.

The hotel is located on the island, at the edge of a huge park, very quiet. Breakfast and dinner buffet were very generous and quite tasty. The spa was great with a huge indoor swimming pool and two mineral heated pools, and two saunas. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

    1. Reception Staff has been kind and professional. 2. Room Clean, comfortable room, we liked enough wardrobe space. 3. Pools Too many guests in the pools, poor hygiene standards: dark/ brown line on the water level, handrails greasy. Staff on the phone and the kids were jumping in the pool. If you advertise facilities open until 21:00h, then your staff should not turn off lights and vawe us at 20:50h, so we had to leave pool at 20:50h. Loosened screws on handrails are risk and safety issue just as slippery tiles around pools. 4. Restaurant & dining area Waiting to enter into the dining room for breakfast is unacceptable in the 4* hotel, the dining room is too small for the hotel. The hotel is seriously understaffed, restaurant manager was cleaning tables!?!! Making people to ask for gluten free bread is very rude and discriminative. Food labels should be in a bigger font. 5. Lobby bar Bad overpriced coffee and unfriendly staff. 6. General Elevators were not working properly during our stay. All the doors on service rooms should be CLOSED!!!

The location on the island in the middle of the city is perfect, and the proximity to the bus stop makes it easy to access the city center. The staff at the hotel have consistently been friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere that has led to us choosing your hotel for our stays on numerous occasions. However, I wanted to share a suggestion regarding the gym facilities. In the past, when the gym was open 24 hours, it was a fantastic convenience for guests like myself who prefer evening workouts, usually around 10-11 pm. I noticed that the current closing time is 9 pm, and I believe extending the gym hours until 11 pm or midnight would be a great enhancement. I understand that changes in operating hours are subject to various considerations, but I believe this adjustment could benefit guests who, like me, value the flexibility of accessing the gym during later hours. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to future stays at your wonderful hotel.

We loved every minutes of it. Staff were very nice, we were able to use the wellness facilities after the check out. Luggage storage came very handy for us. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection of different kinds of food. Hotel was very clean. Location is perfect. I would stay there again.

I was cheated by the hotel staff. I booked a room for a co-worker. Asked for an invoice when booking the room and again when checking in and paying for his stay. I was assured that right invoice will be issued after check-out. After the stay, I did not receive any invoice, some manager wrote that it was my fault for not asking for the third time and next time I should provide the data earlier... the only question is when is the right moment if not before stay and during the payment on arrival !?! I am very disappointed with the level of service, I have never experienced such pathetic treatment!!!

Very professional check-in and check-out. Very responsive to our requests (we asked for additional bed after arrival and it was setup in 5 mins). Perfect for families but also for couples or business. Several thermal pools and an outdoor pool, very good breakfast spread. Room service guy was very friendly and funny! We enjoyed everything, nothing to complain about. We will definitely return.

Beautiful setting on Margaret island 10min away from Budapest parliament. Great public transport connect.. easy and cheap to use bolt and minibud too. Breakfast and food in general was very good. Rooms clean and with a view Will be back for sure

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Rooms are large, modern, nicely equipped. Bathroom is also large and has everything you need. Spa area is good enough for relaxation after a visit day in the city. Hotel is quiet both inside and outside. Plenty of opportunities to workout having a gym and being very close to the running track on Margit Island. Only complaint is personell especially those at the bar. At the bar we were told to wait for out orders to be taken. We waited for more than 30 minutes for our orders to get taken and then we left without eating. Breakfast and dinner are very good especially the evening buffet. We will come back here on our next Budapest visit.

The run down look on the outside only hides the lovely inside this place has to offer. My partner and I booked a day ticket to access the pool and spa facilities. We enjoyed relaxing for 5 hours. The pools aren't as big and one was closed due to the season. Massage etc are extra and rather expensive we opted against. But it was much needed activity following days of sightseeing

We had a wonderful visit, our second in four months!!! The facilities are really lovely, especially the Thermal pool... but what one remembers is the care and interest shown by the staff....Kitti, Orsi and Greta, for example, always provided excellent personalised service in the Main Cafe, Mate on the front desk helped us with connection difficulties and breakfast omelettes were prepared masterfully each morning with care and dedication as well as a cheerful smile by the omelette chef. Whoever is choosing and training staff certainly knows what they are doing. A marvellous visit! We are already planning our next.

Everything about this hotel is great. Beautiful location, excellent food, ample sized rooms and facilities particularly since 'make-over. Ideal place to pamper yourself or be pampered. Thermal pools, indoor and outdoor pools, full medical facilities. I have been about 10 times and can firm the consistency.

The temperature in the rooms was like a sauna. The aircon machine was located behind the curtains, so if I wanted to use it, I had to open the curtains and it would be very bright in the morning. On that same day the cleaners left my room and my friend's room terrace door fully opened all day and the room was freezing! Also on that same morning I put the paper to request full cleaning and changing the bedding and they didn't, but left the terrace door fully open! Very unhappy with the service there

Definitely recommend this hotel The hotel is in a perfect location on Margit Island. Next to the hotel there is a wonderful park suitable for walking after an excellent breakfast. The spa facilities are of a high standard and met all the expectations I had, the virtue of thermal water gives the skin a smooth, fresh young feeling. The room was wonderful and the balcony overlooks the Danube River The floor in the spa area is very smooth and not all areas are covered with an anti-plot surface The air conditioner is between the window and the curtain, is not good idea since when you close the curtain at night so that the room is not illuminated early in the morning and so it turns out that the air is imprisoned in that gap

We had such a great time. The staff are amazing, especially the guys on reception - Pieter & the chap with the beard (apologies, I didn’t catch your name !) so helpful & accommodating. I really hope hospitality picks up for Budapest & particularly for this hotel. Lovely place to relax & enjoy the park (expect to walk & lose weight !) very good value choice to experience Hungarian hospitality xxx

I love this hotel and the island so much, we keep returning year after year. Despite my family lives in the outskirt of Budapest, I always need to have few days here, because this is my recharge, my holiday. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly and helpful, they love children, the spa is amazing and the surrounding green, the island, the family carriage bikes....just no words can describe. Pure heaven staying there. Thank You! We will be back!

Secluded from the many city, this little gem is where you’ll get a great nights sleep, a great value buffet restaurant and a half decent spa and pool. Head outside and you are on an island with a 5km running track, stunning views, a zoo and plenty more. Short walk to the city or 5 mins in a cab. Top value for money

Staying at Ensana was the most amazing experience. The island makes you feel as if you are far from major city yet close to everything. You are experiencing nature and have the ability to jog, run, bike, or walk daily 4 km. The rooms are very spacious with a huge waterfall shower. The food is excellent, the service packages are great and healing. Overall the service from each person you meet is everything you expect from a 5 star organization. I'm planning on going back.

There was nothing amiss...Service, great! Facilities, impeccable! Two small things: elevators are terribly slow, and not enough for all that traffic...beds are somewhat soft and bouncy, so our backs suffered a bit. But all this was amply compensated for by excellent thermal and wellness installations, very good meals and kind/professional service. Thank you!

Modern hotel in probably the most attractive neighborhood of the Hungarian capital. Neat and well-kept, nice and warm, maintained by qualified, kind and pleasant people. Great pool, hot springs and most likely one of the best medical massage treatment facilities in whole Budapest. Lovely bar with some really good Hungarian wines. I felt really good there.

The hotel is good, the food is also good. But the waitresses/waiters aren’t so professional and they are rude to us. In addition to they're complaining all day long. It’s summer of 2021, I hope this is just a side effect of the long closure, because of COVID since this hotel is one of the best hotel in Budapest or it should be.

The hotel location is pretty relaxing, in the green park on the island, so it's very quiet. You can get to the city center by 26 bus or just walk with pleasure. Breakfast was tasty with lots of options. Spa is good, nice thermal pools, nice indoor pool. Outdoor is small but I guess nice in summer. Staff at the reception is helpful, friendly and polite. I stayed for 4 nights and my room was cleaned only ONCE! I mean at all. First time I was away from 11 to 16, sign was placed on the door and nothing. I have my towels on the floor, can't take a shower after walk. I walked away again from 18 to 22 and tell the reception this problem. They called somebody and told me everything will be done. I'm back in the evening and nothing! That's unbelievable for 4 star hotel. I asked again on reception that I need at least new towels and after 30 mins waiting had them (without other cleaning and bath stuff refresh). Next day also no cleaning with sign on. Very disappointed about that. Anyway liked this place.

We booked in January but on arrival found that our room had 2 single beds pushed together, rather than the double we had booked. Was told no doubles available when I called reception. Later on they offered to change our room but we had already unpacked. The spa area, treatments, massages etc were all good.

What a fantastic thermal hotel on the Margaret island in Budapest. The hotel is well refurbished, with nice rooms. The breakfast is with wide variety of cold, warm foods and fruits. In good weather, sit outside at the terrace, it has wonderful view on the park. The thermal spa has several services, slippers, bathrobe and towels are included. Parking is available in front of the building. The island it self is wonderful with gorgeous flowers, trees, bushes and well maintained lawn. Checkout the water fountain with light and music show. If you like jogging, there is a running rubber sidewalk around the perimeter of the island.

I can definitely recommend this place: Located on the green Margaret Island, this hotel has its own hot springs wellness area (which justifies the pricing of the hotel). Nice combination of wellness and sightseeing in Budapest! Breakfast and dinner are good, service is fine and our room was clean (with a nice view to the Danube). Only thing that could improve: In our room, the wifi worked quite poorly.

Loved our stay here, will definitely be back!! From the moment we arrived we had a great welcome, even benefited from a complimentary upgrade which was a treat as the room and the views were superb. The Goulash and Schnitzel in the Bistro for dinner was delicious and highly recommended as well as a generous buffet breakfast the following morning! Thank you for a great experience!

I visited for second time, after 10 yrs the hotel. The renovation is successful and rooms and public areas are great. Breakfast and dinner buffet have an extensive choices of dishes that can satisfy different preferences. Also bistro menu is tasteful. And the conclusion for f&b sector is that the value for money is superb. Though I believe that housekeeping need to improve as the full cleaning requests I ve put on my door during my stay is not a full cleaning but a light cleaning (make up the beds, throw away garbage and nothing else, or in a 4 nights stay is critically to change linen at least once). Also the pools are fully packed and not as clean as they can be. No one asks room number or if you are an external visitor. Therapies are full as well and difficult to find an appointment. In my previous visit there were plenty of therapists and you could book it even last minute. In my last visit I needed to book all my therapies two or three days prior in order to find space. And always there were plenty of available massage rooms. So probably you need more therapists. The massages are great and I really enjoyed them as my previous visit, even though were much more expensive.

Had an enjoyable stay at the hotel with multiple treatments. The food offered is on a high quality, both the bistro and the restaurant buffet. Definitely recommend to try their spa treatments, some of which are novelties to me. The location is beautiful, placed on an island that sits between the Buda and Pest sides. However, it can take a while to reach all the way back from the city center if you choose to walk.

A very pleasant stay. Been there a second time. Absolutely enjoyed it. It is close to the city centre, and also has a pretty well set-up spa. The rooms are spacious and clean. A place I would recommend.

A really nice location for a relaxing weekend. We booked some massages and treatment with them, and everyone was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast has a good selection of food, though the coffee is not for the coffee lovers. The rooms are clean and all personnel eager to help. It can feel very crowded during weekends or holidays, especially in the spa area.

The hotel, the hotel site and our room was very fine. Also helpful staff. Excellent view of the Buda site. But we would have liked info about the closing of important termal facilities. It would have been appropriate with compensations such as a bottle of wine. However after arrival at the hotel we mentioned the closed sauna facilities to the reception and got a free salt cave treatment.

Rooms have been nicely updated with fantastic storage. Plenty of room for a family of 4. Hotel needs some sprucing up esp externally. Outdoor pool is a real bonus though the sundeck again needs updating. Lovely staying amongst the green of Margaret Island!

lovely hotel on the island... away from the heat and hustle of Budapest. Nice outdoor pool, great rooms (we booked a suite). Highly recommended.

The hotel is situated in a scenic part of the city with the 26 bus going by every 15 minutes which is convenient for going to the city centre. The indoor spa is nice however the sauna was not possible to enter as it was full for a good while. There are great breakfast options at the buffet and staff are nice at reception.

It was a fantastic experience to stay in this beautiful, modern, clean and welcoming hotel. Margaret Island is a tranquil haven in the middle of amazing Budapest, perfect as a base to explore the capital. The hotel has spacious and comfortable rooms, with balconies and air conditioning. In a very environmentally friendly way, guests can choose each day if they wish to have a full clean, eco clean or no clean of their room. The facilities of the thermal spa (all included in the price for hotel guests) are excellent with indoor and outdoor pools, sun terrace, sun loungers, sauna, etc. Additional treatments and massages can also be booked for an additional fee. The buffet breakfast includes hot and cold items as well as Hungarian specialities. Your eggs 🍳 can be cooked any way you wish, the omelettes are amazing. The only improvement I can think of is to have ice machines as we had to keep asking the bar staff to provide us with some! Thank you for providing an awesome holiday.

A really nice place to stay, we enjoyed our holidays there. Friendly staff and opportunity to buy bus tickets directly in the hotel. This is really useful as passengers are controlled very often. The Margaret Island is beautiful, big and a great, peaceful and natural place to stay, walk, doing sports and enjoy life!

Pretty decent hotel. Location is a long way from Budapest Central District which would make it not ideal if that is what you wanted to explore. It is set in very nice gardens though and a great thermal bath which is in the hotel along with an outdoor pool and swimming pool. Breakfast is a buffet style but a bit canteen like and with the hotel full and at peak times like 8-9am, then it felt very busy. It was still ok getting what you wanted, juice was squash but generally ok. There is also a hotel bar area which you can use which closes around 10pm. So in all a good hotel, long way from the centre and a bit busy at breakfast.

I used the spa only. It was modern easy to access from the city. Facilities include steam room, sauna, ice water plunge pool, swimming pool and several thermal pools heated at various degrees. Highly recommend going there after a day of sightseeing or just to relax and chill

Food in the hotel was delicious, rooms are nice, indoor pools might get crowded (especially swimming pool), "island" doesn't give you the feeling that you are in the city, almost no traffic, many things to do. Bus 26 takes you to the city, but you can also walk (approx. 2,5 km to the bridge that has nice view of the parliament, citadel, Buda castle and Fisherman's Bastion)
