Got a gift certificate from a friend.... And since I am not from Buffalo... I had no idea what a treat I was in for!!! An iconic piece of history, easy to find and with a huge parking lot! The food was delicious. The walls are covered with rich history of patrons, good Samaritans, veterans, celebrities, politicians with the founders and restaurant employees. The Spaghetti Parm is the famous dish. I ordered the lunch Chicken Parm which came with a chef salad, coffee/tea and orange sherbert or ice cream or a mix of the two. Before all meals, bread with oils and spices are served and the bread is freshly baked in house daily!!! (It's SOOOOO good). I also ordered the House Moscato wine which was, fresh, full of fruity flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. I will be back and kudos to my friend who gave me a gift card and let me be pleasantly surprised! And it was TOTALLY affordable! Strongly recommend for anyone near downtown Buffalo for lunch or dinner? My server Kris Stonelli was incredible and you can't miss him (he is 6'10"). He was quick, professional, efficient and kind.

I love Chef's, definitely a must if you're visiting Buffalo. I have always been a fan of their sweet sauce, 100% my favorite. Their spaghetti parm is famous and made with so much butter and cheese - so it's not the place to go for health food. That being said, they do have salads and soups as well! The French onion has a great beefy flavor and they have a gluten free option as well. Overall, I would always recommend chef's - it's my go-to for birthdays and visitors from out of state!

My experience here was great as usual. Place is always busy. The host and servers are super friendly as they run around taking care of everyone. They always start you off with fresh homemade bread and a wonderful seasoned oil to dip it into. I got my usual Chicken Parm. It comes with a plate of spaghetti. I highly recommend that you have the spaghetti parmed as well.

Great family atmosphere. Many large and small groups. The food is very good and reasonably priced. This place is a Buffalo staple and definitely worth a try. The Spaghetti Parm is their signature dish.

Another great meal at this western New York icon. CHEFS is the place to go in Buffalo for a classic Italian lunch or dinner. Generous portions and great service. My son and I had the penne special with artichokes and black olives. Dessert (peanut butter cheese cake) was also delish. Even the house red was good. My only qualm is that prices have gone up...but then again so has everywhere.

We were recommended this place by someone who lives in the Buffalo area. You walk in to a bevy of different sport stars and actors pictures in the wall. This place has a lot of character already and it would probably be much nicer without all the pictures on the wall. Regardless, the food was very good. Of course I ordered the spaghetti parmigiana which was delicious!! My daughter ordered the calamari rings which were ok but nothing to rave about. My wife ordered the veal parmigiana which was very tasty and a nice size piece of veal. All-n-all a very nice meal. The price was quite reasonable and the service was very good. Will be back with grandpa and grandma so they can try the unusual (but good) spaghetti parm.

A dining institution in downtown Buffalo, Chefs offers mainstream Italian food. The lunch menu, although only a few items, is carefully chosen and offers very good value. Try the spaghetti parm, if you're looking for comfort food! The service is friendly, prompt and thoughtful. Inside, the restaurant is charming and comfortable. Outside there is plentiful parking across the street.

What can I say about chefs.. has been a staple for many years on buffalo n.y.. the spaghetti 🍝 parm and the sauce are out of this world, French onion soup is delicious 😋, the meatballs are homade (tip: don't roll so tightly) and tasty.. only complaint is how early they close.. especially they close at 8 and I get out of work at 8 🥺

I have eaten at Chefs many many times. This was my first time ordering take out. The food was delicious as always. But as for the takeout experience, I ordered by phone and it was ready pretty quickly. I showed up and went to the cashier who took my name and went in back to get it. I checked out and took it home. Everything was well packed and took my 40 minute ride home well. Once home I opened everything up to serve my family and it was excellent! Obviously it wasn't the same experience you get dining in which is always awesome but as for the food making it home and still tasting great, takeout is a viable option!

Best restaurant in town. At the airport, I asked the information desk for a recommendation for dinner and they started to mention the very touristic places until I asked them that I wanted to know where them (locals) like to eat and they recommended this place! My mum and I, we had a great time! The food was delicious! I definitely recommend this place!

Found them from some finding on youtube, they have an authentic classic italian comfort food. After we order they gave us bread basket with butter and water for each of us. We ordered spaghetti pesto, pizza roll and spaghetti parm. They’re famous for the spaghetti parm and I would like to say that for me I think it’s not overhype at all. Delicious!

Great place if you like sauce, pasta, and cheese. That’s sums up most of the menu. Different types of pasta and everyone gets everything parmed, which is a heaping pile of melted mozzarella cheese on top of any dish. The complimentary fresh bread and oil are good. The dishes are good as well; the chicken cutlet is really good. The meatballs are dense but have good flavor. The sauce is a sweet smooth marinara. The only downfall is the prices. $7 for garlic bread. $6 for a small cup of sherbet. $16 for 3 stuffed shells, plus another $6 to have it parm’d and then another $5 for chicken. Be prepared to easily spend $40-50 per person here. The upside to that is that the portions are fairly large and two people can share and leave satisfied. Service is slightly on the slow side but we’ve always had fairly pleasant wait staff.

Easily the best meal I've had while visiting both Buffalo and Niagra Falls. I had friends from work before tell me that Chef's is a necessary stop while visiting Buffalo, and they were not wrong! Like many restaurants in the area, the portion sizes are HUGE. I ordered their signature baked spaghetti parmesan, as I was told this was the most cheesy item on their menu. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when they brought the dish out. Normally I am able to finish my entrée in one single serving. But to quote Adam Richman, "On this day in Man vs Food, food was indeed the victor." The leftovers definitely made for a great late night meal though! And their sauce is perhaps the best taste tomato sauce in all of New York. I don't visit the Buffalo area that often. But whenever I do going forward, Chef's will most definitely be near the top of my itinerary. I would highly recommend their 5-star caliber cuisine!

The wife and I took a trip to Buffalo to visit her sister and boyfriend. The one place they said we had to try was Chef’s. As a huge fan of Italian food, how could I say no. The restaurant ambiance was amazing. The walls were filled with pictures of past celebrities who had dined at Chefs. The staff were incredibly friendly and did a great job waiting our table. To start we had the fried calamari. Very crispy, the cocktail sauce was delicious, it was a very solid appetizer choice. For dinner, we tried the chicken parm with the spaghetti parmed. The chicken parm was good but not great. Personal preference, I like my cutlets thin and crispy. These were a bit more on the thicker side. The spaghetti parm is what stole the show. It was incredible. So creamy, delicious and had a ton of cheese. I was disappointed I didn’t order it as my full meal which would probably be my recommendation for anyone going to Chef’s. We finished the night with cannolis which were huge to say the least and had a generous amount of cream and chocolate chips. Overall it was a great experience and I hope to be back in town for some more Spaghetti Parm in the future.

We sat next to a huge salt water aquarium. It was so beautiful. The frozen takeout is great, too.

We liked everything except for the person who served us.. felt like he was rushing everything with us. Pur lunch meal included coffee & sherbet. If I didnt ask for coffee he wouldn't serve it to us or even bothered asking us if we'd like.

A must if you're in Buffalo!! Great Italian cuisine with it's own spin! Portions were huge and we all got smalls and even an extra small spaghetti parmesan!! Bread was great, staff was very nice, and best of all you can buy jars of their sauce (which I would recommend.....soooo good!).

Spaghetti parm is THE DISH to try on a first visit to Chef's, I'm told. I ordered mine with added mushrooms and meatballs (for a bit of protein). Extra house sauce comes on the side. This is a cheese lover's dish and I enjoyed it. The sauce had just the right sweetness with a bit of tang to contrast and compliment the richness of the spaghetti and thick melted cheese. Aprons come at every place setting - which I very much appreciated as someone who never fails to get a few drops of sauce on my chest whenever I eat pasta. Bread baked in house is served with every meal with butter or herb seasoned oil. Our server was friendly, efficient, and made our experience fun. The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual and relaxed. Family friendly. The cannoli was freshly filled with cool cannoli filling with the perfect spattering of chocolate chips. The shell was crisp and tasty, the filling rich and not too sweet. Perfect.

This place is an absolute treasure in Buffalo! The atmosphere, the service and most importantly the food are all truly amazing. Their spaghetti parm is amazing but don’t stop there. Anything you get is amazing. I promise you’ll love this place.

There's just something about that sauce! And that cheese! I have been craving Chefs for about 4 years or more now. All the times I've been back to Buffalo I wasn't able to make it back there. Their chicken parm is very good, one of the best you'll ever have. But whatever they do with their spaghetti sauce is out of this world. And the cheese they melt on top of it, omg it's to die for. I wish they'd open up a franchise here in Florida!

Chefs is a must visit Italian restaurant when you’re in the Buffalo area. I’ve had several dishes here and have never left here hungry or disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised to find gluten free options too. I highly recommend this restaurant!
