The Scene in South Park

Cafe Coffee shop

😐 Drinks are still delicious and staff is really nice but what happened to all the art?? I loved the look of the place before, the plain white walls/minimalist aesthetic is kinda overdone and boring. Hoping they bring the art and communal feel back. People often mention coffee, great, good, shop, time, latte, people, local, friendly, community,

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee before a runway show at the museum of flight and I ordered an Americano with no cream - Delicious!! I love it when coffee can taste fresh like this without anything added. Service was top notch!!

Small neighborhood coffee, with great atmosphere, and delicious coffee. We had a Machiatto and a Cappuccino. The surprise was this Rebels Base small area for kids (of younger ages, but heart warming for all of us). Good finding in South Park. Power and coffee for the people! 💪🏽

A lovely coffee shop with the most friendly staff. A wonderful way to pass the time, there's indoor seating and a patio outside. The coffee and pastries were delicious

Love this spot! I’m gluten free, and they have my favorite marionberry jam pastry. The music is subtle and lively. It has a great neighborhood feel!

A local gem. I’ve never had a bad experience at this cafe, absolutely love their cowboy breakfast sandwich and their toasted buns. Anytime I get an iced mocha from here it makes my day. Kyle helped me and my dad today and he is exceptionally lovely. His energy brightens the whole place. Thank you Kyle!

Great coffee, especially the cold brew. Nice music playing in the background. The space is very ventilated with its open front and back doors open, and there's outside seating towards the back of the coffeeshop. They have some good pastries to go along with the coffee as well.

Resistencia Coffee Resistencia Coffee is a delightful coffee shop found in South Park. This coffee shop has thrived through Covid and for a good reason. They are a part of this community and care about the people that visit them. I have been going here since my good artist friend Simon (simonandrewart) introduced me to this cozy place. This is a great place to come, enjoy the friendly people, coffee and delicious baked goods. I enjoy sitting with friends while working on projects together. They check for vaccination cards here. ;-) HappuccinoLife.com

The baristas are friendly. The traveler's chai tea is really good. There are outlets to charge your phone. The store is clean and there is parking.

Resistencia Coffee is a place where everyone feels genuinely welcome the moment they enters the shop. Faviola and Amber, the baristas who made me a great latte, are warm and friendly, they care about customers and make great efforts to bring a cup of nice coffee and a piece of joy to everyone, whether they are regulars, like many people who visited the shop while I was there, or me, a total stranger. The atmosphere was fantastic. Besides the standard coffee and tea menu, they also have some baked goods and sandwiches/wraps for a full breakfast. The shop has some indoor seatings, including a couple of comfortable couches and a children's corner, as well as a few small outdoor tables at the back. Resistencia supports local community and have lovely crafts for sale from local artists. It is a true neighborhood coffee shop that is rooted in the community and serves it with a big heart.

This was quite possibly the most delightful coffee shop experience I’ve ever had! The baristas were so friendly and the specialty latte was amazing.

I haven’t ordered food yet but I love the variety in selection offered like a breakfast sandwich, looked like a few lunch items too! Iced vanilla Oatmilk coffee was on point! Parking is in the back if you need.

A hidden jewel in South park! Friendly barista, ample of tables for people looking for a quiet study spot. There's apparently extra workspace on the second floor but didn't get a chance to check it out. They even had a kids space under the stairs! Decent coffee supplied by Caffe Umbria! All coffee are served with double shots of espresso which is a plus! Wifi available for those looking to study/work there :)

I've been two times to The Scene and enjoyed their coffee and pastries each time. Loved the Andes Mint Mocha and the broccoli cheddar quiche. The staff and the owner (met him the first day I went there) were friendly, and the music was on point. I used to go to Resistencia (the former name) and enjoyed the atmosphere but not so much the coffee. I think The Scene improved the coffee at this spot but could up their game in atmosphere a bit but still 4/5 in that department. I like the gearing towards black theater, but it could use a little more decor. Overall, The Scene is a great place to go if you want tasty coffee and excellent service.

It’s been hard to find a nice coffee place in the greater Seattle area that has good coffee and isn’t constantly packed to the point where you can’t enjoy the ambiance. Finally found that at the Scene in South Park. Amazing service with a barista who takes their time pulling the espresso shot and making sure the taste and quality are consistent. Not to mention the music choice and incredible local art displayed on the walls, with great natural light. We will definitely come back next time with a great book in hand to spend a couple of hours here.

Great coffee and friendly people. The little heart added in definitely made it more personal and pleasant. Thank you! Also they have a semi indoor outdoor space which is quite unique.

Stopped in with our Special Ed class after the library to practice ordering and felt SO welcomed! Owner Michelle came over and introduced herself to all our students which made them feel very included in the community. Some businesses make our group feel like a burden, but so glad to have had the complete opposite experience at The Scene! Tasty coffee and pastries as well.

So glad we stopped here after the airport. The okazu pan was incredible and the latte was one of the best I’ve ever had. The ambiance is lovely, neat artwork and kind baristas.

Friendly staff consistently good coffee, really like the specialty latte. Good atmosphere to work, cool tunes and lots of local art to look at (and purchase). Offers customer loyalty punch card that is generous. My go-to cafe!

A favorite stop in S Seattle. Espresso is always perfect, great selection of gf snacks and pastries. The community vibe is A+. It's not uncommon that I go out of my way to stop here.

Felt very welcome and I could tell the other people there really enjoy having that cafe in their community. Coffee was good and the barista was SO nice. I don’t live in Seattle but will definitely return next time I am in town.

Good coffee! Don't miss out on their savory stuffed pastires (empanadas?) Had the lentil and it was great!

Best iced African-Americano ever! And I’d go back just to check in with the host behind the counter, who created lovely coffees while keeping a disparate group of customers talking and laughing the whole time.

EDIT: I appreciate the fast response from the owner. I did receive a refund as stated, so thank you. We will give it another shot for the next SPASM. I received quite possibly the worst iced chai latte I've ever drank here. It was like iced milk with a scent of chai in it. My partner got a hot chai latte and it was as bad as mine, just hot. I kinda knew it was gonna be bad by the energy the barista was giving off but oh well. We only pop in when SPASM is going on anyways.

Fun energetic friendly baristas! Bit pricey for a matcha latte, and Wi-Fi is not good enough to make a zoom call. But great ambiance - safe cool space to meet up with friends or just spend some time in the morning. Pretty good amount of seating. Lots of locals coming in and out. They also give out punch cards!

great lil vibe for some quiet time. Absolutely wonderful service - I feel super comfortable here and focused oddly. There’s also a spot for kids to play which is an anomaly and I’m sure super valuable for parents out and about with kiddos. It’s in a sweet spot between west seattle and Georgetown and burien which is ideal for me… parking was close and available, and there were lots of little bites that I did not try, but were accommodating to all types of food restrictions. I try to visit tons of coffee shops, but I think I will be back to this one :)

First time trying this coffee shop. Friendly staff and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a loud shop but I do not mind. i loved their playlist and the laughter of the people in the place, only commenting if you’re looking for a quiet place. I would have given it a 5 but I ordered a chai latte with Oat Milk and it Tasted a bit like Oat milk with a splash of chai, I did ask them to remake it but tasted the same. I will go back and give it another shot because i really did enjoy the environment and will update if my opinion changes.

great shop with unique, local neighborhood goods, community spirit, and kickass brews. good seating for working, too! COVID conscious staff is masked, as are patrons not actively drinking coffee.

A cute little local neighborhood coffee spot. Easy parking. Enjoyed my latte but my husband said the americano was a little watery so I don’t know if they only put in one shot. The have macrina pastries which we always enjoy. A little kid area which my kids love to hang out in.
