Busy pub - definitely a pub not a bar - not too far from Taksim, right in the madhouse of the busy bar district... I don't know what your idea of Istanbul is, but this certainly wasn't what I expected, in a good way! Friendly barstaff, very efficient, with two fridges holding a very good range of Turkish craft beers (and other more industrial stuff) and even a few on tap, too, although be aware the tap badges don't correlate to what they are pouring... Not my usual kind of place, but here it works... the downstairs bar is for drinking at the front and dancing at the back, then upstairs there's a floor with a smaller bar and LOADS of dartboards... there's another floor too, but that was closed off on our visit. So, for craft beer near Taksim, this is your best bet... it's good to note that it was a lot cheaper than most other bars we visited in the city, although still not as cheap as I hoped; ah well, I definitely recommend this place to anyone after local craft beers.

WARNING FAKE ALCOHOL!!!!! Ordered 2 shots of Contreau and they poured us fake watered down alcohol from a larger bottle. We called them out on this and they tried denying it was fake, I demanded alcohol from the small Contreau bottle, this was real. The owner then came over gave us our money back and forced us out of the bar!!. Multiple people have DIED last peak season in Istanbul due to fake alcohol. It is unacceptable that a so called respected place does this to save a couple of $$. Absolute joke!!!!!

When you see "English Breakfast" on the menu , you begin to question the Irishness of any place. Yes it has Irish memorabilia, draft Guinness and Irish Stew. That's where it stops. Backward tricolour, larger served in a Guinness glass and peppers in an Irish stew. I'm yet to visit an actual Irish boozer that would even dream of having an English breakfast on the menu. Staff member was sound, pizza was nice and the atmosphere was a bit meh.

This is one of the best pubs I went to during my visit in Istanbul, massive space, outdoor rooftop space, great beer and cocktails, amazing food (with non-fried and vegetarian options) and live performances from mighty artists 🎸🕺 The staff is also very nice specially the guy with a bun (sadly never got his name). Highly recommend, will definitely revisit again.

Extortionate Prices!!! I was completely shocked by how expensive this bar is. As a couple we had in total 4 pints of draught beer, 2 Jameson's and 2 Bailey's. The bill came to 450 TL, the equivalent of £60. Although the barman Ege was pleasant and welcoming he did not alert us to the extortionate prices. However when we remarked about the high cost at the end he did acknowledge this fact. We were appalled and it ruined what could have been a good experience. We will certainly not go back again. It's my first experience of rip off Istanbul. As well as this the bar in no way can call itself an Irish bar with no Irish music or atmosphere. If it had we would have stayed longer. But just as well or otherwise I can't imagine how expensive the evening would have been.

James Joyce pub has one of the most unique atmospheres in Istanbul. The personnel mostly kniw good English which is a huge plus. They are friendly, accomodating and fast. The service is good and clean. The facility can host a hlarge number of guests. They have a garden level pub area and a rooftop. Entertainment includes live music that they charge for but totally worth it and Dart also pools. If you are a fan of eightball, the place has a quality one. The dance floor is nuce and the dj is good. The drinks are well priced and well made actually. The bartenders know their game. I highly recommend the place. P.s. the decoration is amazing too.

This is honestly my fav place in Istanbul. I don’t drink much, but the music in this pub and the whole vibe is unforgettable. The bands are amazing! And I even had found a couple of fav dishes in there. Darts Competitions are insane😄I absolutely loved those even though cannot play well myself. Visited it around 5 times during one month and when I’m in Istanbul next time I’m gonna attend again. Thanks to all the waiters and waitresses for a great service and your hard-work. I wanna work in that bar!! I love it. We went there to watch the game and had couple of beers. I asked for mexicano beer I thought it was a common thing but i had to tell the guy how to do it. But he was lovely and gave me sweets.

I love this pub which I always stop at when in Istanbul. We did not eat there but the plates they served looked very good.
