Best place to relax with a cup of coffee if you’re waiting for your train/bus

Staffs very friendly, helpful and professional. They treated us well during our visit there. The outdoor seating area has nice view overlooking the sea. Great place to hang out. At times it could be too chilly and breezy, sometimes too hot depending on the weather. However, I wish they could be more strict about who can sit there. It’s Starbucks’ seats, but anybody could hang out there without buying anything from the cafe. I even saw a man eating nasi kandar there, few high school teenagers drinking tealive there, a family not drinking anything. What’s worse, sometimes people leave rubbish there. Wish that area becomes exclusive to Starbucks customers only.

During a rainy day when my wife and I found ourselves at a loose end, we decided to seek refuge at Starbucks Penang Sentral. Having spotted this establishment during our recent arrival in Butterworth via ferry, we thought it a fitting place to while away the time. Positioned on the 3rd floor of Penang Sentral, the coffee shop shares the same level as the lobby, making it the bustling hub of the building. What truly stands out is its panoramic view, encompassing the Butterworth jetty, Penang Port, and even the distant Penang Island. This scenic backdrop adds a unique charm to the café. Celebrating her birthday, my wife indulged in a slice of hazelnut chocolate cake, while I stuck to my usual choice of iced americano. The cake garnered an okay verdict, though curiously, my iced americano seemed to carry a slightly bitter undertone, an anomaly that might be attributed to my own taste buds. The café's main selling point, undoubtedly, is the stunning view it provides of the straits. On the customer service front, staff member Qiu added a personal touch with his friendly and welcoming demeanor. While the café's coffee and cakes might not have been exceptional on this particular visit, the captivating scenery, along with the amiable service, certainly made our experience at Starbucks Penang Sentral a pleasant one.

Great service, one of the best few Starbucks I been to. However it's a pity the people who go here doesn't really go for Starbucks much. Aside from the great service, the view is awesome. Especially at sunset.

Great service. The staff here were friendly. They greeted me once I came in and bid a farewell once I was about to go out. The environment was peaceful. Not many people visit this outlet due to restrictions to travel and thus, not many people came to Penang Sentral. The WiFi here was awesome. It's a good choice to do your work here or watch movies.

I ordered my drinks by foodpanda, and when I want to pickup my orders, the staff here totally ignore me. And even when they walk in front of me, they doesn't ask me what they can help me with just like the way other staff do
