3 star for service as very poor. Also dishes were not clean, I had to ask to change the plate as it was dirty. Atmosphere is good but no music. I am just wondering how do they earn 4-5-6 star rating!!!! Food was OK.

Only go for the view if you must. This place purports to be high end. However, you should have low expectations of service, drinks and ambiance. My wife thought she would have a treat of a small bottle of champagne. It came in an airline style plastic screw-top bottle, flat and very warm. When we complained, it they did not responded well. We were begrudgingly offered a glass of wine instead. When it came, it was a small glass of even warmer, uninspiring white wine and, we were charged the same price for the two-glass bottle of champagne!!!! We had to add ice to it to make it drinkable so a very expensive, watered down, boring white wine. I ordered a gin and tonic, 25 minutes later, I got some gin in a glass, a can of tonic, and some ice - it was expensive, no lemon and basic. A pub drink at hotel prices. The food menu was as uninspiring as the service so we didn’t bother. The view is nice but there are so much better places to go in Saigon/HCM and have a great evening.

Only came here for drinks so I can’t speak on the food but we had a lovely time here. The drinks were good. The atmosphere even better. Great views from the outdoor seating. Easy to find too. Once you enter the building just follow the signs towards the elevators and head to the 5th floor.

We were in the area for Tet. Since the cigar lounge was closed we came down here for a drink. My husband was able to get a cigar they offered a small selection. We did not get any food. I had their fresh baby coconut. It was super refreshing and ice cold. They had all the fans going and it kept the temperature really nice. It offers great views of Nguyen Hue and the surrounding D1 area. It is a nice place to sit and relax but if you are looking for a party bar this might not be the vibe.

Large beer, cocktail and fruit juice. $31 USD. More expensive than even five star hotels in USA. Will only come here once every five years or so. Nice rooftop.

The Rex Hotel Garden Bar is a great place to view the Ho Chi Minh city while drinking a good cocktail. Staff is friendly but brace yourself for extremely high prices. The menu offers a lot of different options.

Walking through Nguyen Hue street and came across this sky bar and my wife and I decided to go up for a drink. We asked for a cider (from the menu) but they were all out, asked for a coconut smoothie but they were unable to make it, asked for an iced chocolate but the best they could do was an iced coffee. When the iced coffee came out it was half full and the homemade icecream was splitting. Not what I would expect from the restaurant/bar connected to a 5 star hotel.. What saved it from a 1 star was the view, which was great.

Came with some friends and enjoyed live music in the rooftop bar, worth ít.

If you’re reading about Five’o’clock Folies and thinking FCC, forget about it. The service and drinks are terrible. Don’t waste your time. 575k for two awful cocktails.

Nice rooftop bar on top floor of Rex Hotel. Excellent view of the city

The place looks quite old, the balcony is rusty. But it doesn't bother me as much as the poor service. We booked the table at 8pm, we arrived late but no one called. My friend's drink was not served, she waited forever for her drink. Lastly when we asked for the check, it took like 10 mins for the waiter to hand it to us. Overall the service was very slow, eventhough the place WAS NOT CROWDED AT ALL. Kinda disappointed for a 5 star hotel like this

Food is terrible. Cocktails are not at all good. Good atmosphere but thats it.

We came here for some nice drinks and view, but the drinks was awful. The strawberry daiquiri was just ice blended with one (1) at most, strawberry. And I promise you my breakfast juice was stronger than the bourbon “drink” I had.

It was a nice experience with good service. It was too expensive for us to return again but it was nice that they offered for us to eat dinner or just have drinks - we opted for a beer and a cocktail plus a plate of French fries. The view was fabulous.

An opulent hotel and rooftop bar. It is worth a visit just for a drink and to take in the view over HCMC at night.

Nice and quiet place service OK only all staff need to speak English

We came because of the history of the hotel/bar and get a good view of the "blue blood moon". Anyway, the rooftop is very spacious but on this night hardly anyone was here. The service was extremely slow and we constantly had to flag down the waiters for service. The food was was just average. Be prepared to pay for overpriced cocktails and food.

Iconic, great atmosphere. View was okay, drinks overpriced and food did not seem too appealing.

Came here to redeem the free drinks voucher during our stay at Rex Hotel. The drinks were not that great. The al fresco dining wasn't that enjoyable in the hot and humid weather either.

Service with a smile, enjoyable music, good food, and just a basic liquor selection at the bar. Nice views, especially at night.
