We arrived close to midnight. Registration was not at all informative or helpful. A bell boy walked us to our room and didn’t offer to help with my luggage up two flights of stairs. Other then that the place is beautiful rooms are big and spacious clean and nice. When we walked out the next day Andrea offered the resorts amenities and was very helpful. Jimmy the booking activities guy was so helpful went above and beyond. We are overall satisfied except for the front desk guy that checked us in this past Friday around midnight. There is a beach in front of the property but there is no swimming Allowed. It it’s an amazing morning walk so serene and beautiful

beware of scams. this resort has beautiful grounds and great location, with amazing wait staff. Unbeknownst to us this is a “time share” type property and even though we purchased on their site as if it was a hotel room, they wasted 4 hours of a day trying to rudely sell us on the time share purchase offering a fake $300 credit which we never received. If you come here as a hotel room please deny any of the “free breakfast” and going to another property to hear a presentation. Even if all the bells and whistles they offer sound good, it’s all a scam and waste of money and time. Their time share offering was chaotic and confusing, leading me to believe there is fine print somewhere that will scam you!

First time doing all-inclusive in Cabo. I feel it was worth it as drinks and food were expensive. The location is close to the marina it is about a 10 minute walk and about a 20 minute walk into the downtown area with the shops. The rooms are nice. We got a suite so we had the kitchen with the living room. It was very spacious. Beware with the kitchen area they charge you for the water and coffee. They did not replace our water and tried to charge us again. With all inclusive, you can get bottle water with a meal. The bed is comfortable, and the single shower off the bedroom is very tight. The housekeeping was great and left cute animals. Waitstaff was fantastic (A few of our favorites were Alfredo, Margareta, and Arturo.). The views from the hotel were beautiful. We were able to watch whales from the restaurant. The food we had was excellent. They do have a few activities for kids by the pool and activities for adults as well. The downfalls were limited restaurants with the all-inclusive and the all food shuts down at 10 pm, so no midnight snacks.

I'm trying to think of a positive..but can't. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you, unfortunately my husband and I bought into the scam and are "owners" of a very bad investment. Everything is over priced, the food is FREAKING awful .. ONE STAR... IS ONE TOO MANY.. There are a few staff members that were nice... BUT... the sales staff ripped us a new A$$hole and completely lied about what we were getting...All inclusive.. is NOT all inclusive. You can't eat at all the restaurants. The water didn't work in the bath...pool and bars close at 6..you're better off going back to work.. because at least you will get paid to be treated like 💩ITS A SCAM!!! PRETTY BAD 👎

Do not go to the sales pitch. Anna told me it would take 1hr and it took 5 hours (9-2).They take you on a bus 30 minutes away, and you are trapped until the bus takes you back. The bus only runs once an hour. Additionally they told me they would book snorkeling for that afternoon but after the sales pitch they said snorkeling wasn’t available that day. Additionally I was not able to book a rental car at the promised discounted rate because they said I needed a coupon that only a different office could provide. That office also closed before they returned me from the 5 hour tour. Pool, bar, and beach are excellent. Rudolpho, the activities coordinator is lively and will keep you entertained at the pool.

We have been here several times and will continue to return to this resort. The staff are very friendly, the amenities are great, and the food is fantastic. The Marina is only a 15 minute walk away so shopping and nightlife off the resort is very close by. This resort location (Solmar Land's End) is at the southern-most end of the beach strip so it's as close to private as you can get. Our April trip allowed us to watch the whales head north from the comfort of our pool chairs!

1st time in Cabo. Chose this resort after tons of research. Not sure I made the right choice. Location is really dependent on the area you want to be in. Flee market and marina are down the hill. Not close to the airport, but I didn't mind the location. Pricey for what I received. Food was mediocre, at best, for the all inclusive price. Menu options weren't great. Room was nice, clean and roomy. Restaurant/bar closes at 10 p.m., even on the weekend... Service was slow no matter how busy or what time of day. Customer service wasn't great at check in either. Mexican fiesta night was fun and that food was decent. In the end, I think for what I ended up paying to stay here, I could have stayed somewhere nicer for the same price.

I would give are room a 4.5 🌟. The lighting was dim and took a little while for the AC to cool down at night. But we also raised the thermostat temp up during the day while we were not there. The service was excellent and location for myself was perfect. The entire resort is very clean and well manicured. My only other small complaint would be the lunch menu doesn't start till 12:00 pm but majority of the time I ate lunch off of the resort so wasn't a big deal, just keep that in mind if you do all inclusive or the meal plans.

Everyone at Solmar is friendly and the atmosphere is quiet but fun. We lounged by the pool most days and quickly befriended Arturo and Tabby who were awesome. They treated us so well and kept us entertained throughout our stay. The beach is right off of the property and even though you can’t swim there, it’s just beautiful to be close to. Our room was huge for two people and the view insanely pretty. Though dated, it was clean and spacious, and our time spent on the balconies (!) was serene. Breakfast and poolside lunch are by far the better food options - we enjoyed the diversity during our 5 night stay. Check in and check out went smoothly and I recommend Solmar to folks trying to get some R&R in Cabo.

The view is amazing, the room was lovely (there was a freezer and microwave which was awesome for a pumping mom). The wait and housekeeping staff were great. The swim up pool was amazing and the views from the main restaurant were breathtaking. However, we will not be going back because of the predatory cost practices they used on us. This included not getting a cost breakdown, being charged when we arrived without a clear view of what was included and not included because when the third member of our party arrived the next day we were surprised with a $200+ bill and then same with checkout. The front desk staff was also rude to us during these interactions. It was hard to get into the relaxation mood after being greeted in that way.

This poor resort is pretty run down from 8 years ago. Although it still has beautiful landscaping. The beach is not swimmable. We reserved 3rd party and didn't get what was advertised so not resorts fault. The beds and pillows are comfy enough. But the resort food is expensive, I think the all-inclusive may be worth it, if you drink and eat 3 meals a day and water since it's $3 a bottle then you'll also get drinks by the pool too! The resort is close enough to the Marina, although you have to climb a hill going back( not too bad). FYI There is NOTHING COMPLIMENTARY in this hotel, we were very misled by 3rd party booking. Our other hotel b4 moving to this one provided complimtary coffee and water. Just know before you go!

The hotel location is nice. The amenities are ok and so is the food. If you plan on staying the whole day, it's definitely worth getting all inclusive for the day. It's nice they have the option to do so. The rooms do feel a bit dated though and sometimes the service can be hit and miss. The staff are nice and friendly though.

We had a fantastic week staying at Solmar. The food is pretty expensive, making the all inclusive option definitely the way to go! Our room was spacious and regularly cleaned. There were a lot of ants, and I would recommend just keeping all food/snacks/drinks out of your hotel room all together if you can. The location is great as well as the friendly staff. Our servers by the pool (Arturo and Alfredo?) made the week extra enjoyable, tending to our every needs.

The resort is structurally beautiful and the employees are very nice. However, the service was not. We unfortunately were duped by the time share (vacation club) tour offer because the discounts on activities and rental cars were enticing. We were promised it would only take 1.5 hours and there was a free breakfast. They lied, the tour was 5 HOURS! There is a 30 minute bus ride one way, you have to tour the facility, receive a sales pitch, receive a counter sales pitch, and then they let you leave to catch a bus that only leaves on the hour. Once you come back to receive your coupons you will spend the whole day walking back in forth between the three offices trying to coordinate for them, it’s almost like they don’t want to use their phones to coordinate for you. Crazy, I don’t recommend, or at least spare yourself from taking the tour!!!

Beautiful resort. The view from our room was spectacular. Food and drinks were decent. We did not do all inclusive. It is a cashless resort. Great location. About a 10 to 15 min walk into town. Cabs were cheap. Only downfall is that side of the beach you can not get in due to Riptides, sharp drop offs and high waves. Would recommend.

The first room smells moldy, and we ask for another room. The second room was full of bugs and mosquitoes. I called again, asking for help. They told me the manager would call me, they never did for 3 days. During our stay, we killed about 40 plus mosquitoes. We couldn't sleep at night with those things flying over our faces. Rooms were old and dated, nothing like showing on the website. The resort has no vibe, and it's boring. There is nothing fun or music playing. TV quality was terrible, the kitchen blind were damaged, noise of water running all night long, nothing to wash dishes, so I'm assuming every single dish is dirty. You can't swim at the beach, the pool was dirty with food leftover. Management should make sure the room is in good condition before the guest arrives. The front desk didn't help either. You are on your own. Nobody did anything to make our stay better. They never called or checked on us.

Great location with a secluded yet stunning beach. Enjoyed delicious food and peaceful nights. Relieved my son stayed safe despite rough waves.

Solar was such a wonderful place, the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were so nice and accommodating. It was quiet (we went first week of February) relaxing. Will definitely try to make it back!

Great location and very friendly staff. The rooms a little dated but well maintained. Drinks can get pricey. The all inclusive is worth it if you are going have out all day.

We had a great time in Cabo at the Solmar Resort. The best decision of this trip was to upgrade from a studio to a 1 bedroom suite. The room didn’t feel updated, BUT the space itself was perfect for us, with a kitchenette, (including a stove, sink, small microwave, and full size refrigerator), 2 full bathrooms (with one enormous tub and enough water pressure for us to use both showers at the same time), and a balconies off both the living room and the bedroom. The AC was an important and much appreciated feature, as well. It's probably also helpful to know that while the resort and ocean views are gorgeous, the current is too strong to venture into the water behind the resort. Look, but don't touch. However, we were able to take a short walk to the local beach along the Sea of Cortez. There, it was calm enough to enjoy an afternoon floating in the sea. And because the resort pools were kept so warm, a dip in the ocean was especially refreshing. Location was decent, although don't expect to be directly in the middle of the action. We decided to wander instead of taking a ride into town most days. It took about 20-25 min to walk down to the heart of the bar and nightclub scene. Not bad, really. And of course there's always the option of getting a quick ride. Service was consistently friendly and helpful, and multiple reps from the Concierge team were great about providing general advice and suggestions for activities, bars, and restaurants. We had considered the all-inclusive plan, or even a day pass, but it ended up being unnecessary. We were glad we decided against it. Although we did eat a few meals at the restaurants (and food was fresh and delicious), we were there to explore. So it worked better for us to venture out and grab meals at local spots and even the neighboring resort for some variety. But for someone looking to mostly spend time unwinding at the resort, the all-inclusive option is probably great. Bottom line- I am very glad we chose to stay at Solmar, and I'd love to return someday.

We booked it for one night without all inclusive. It was great and much cheaper. Honestly we didn't think all inclusive of solmar is worth it. It only includes food. Everything else you can have access to. They have nice infinity pool on the Grand Solmar side. Rooms were clean. Staff was great. Breakfast was also nice and much cheaper than all inclusive. The only problem is this hotel is bit of a walk (20-25 minutes) from marina and all happening places outside.

We had an amazing week at the Solmar, we had a group of 5 and we were always taken care of. The rooms were clean and cozy, the food was delicious with many options to choose from & the staff was unmatched. We had great service from all the employees all week, Arturo and Francisco consistently went above and beyond all week taking care of us. Their service was absolutely amazing. We loved the beautiful location and felt very much at home. Our experience was amazing and we’ll be back next year. Thank you

Just a mediocre hotel. Nothing was outstanding. Starting with the check-in experience, you come from a 1 hour shuttle ride from the airport and they don’t even offer you a bottle of water. Once you finish the check in process they send you to a “vacation consultant” which is this very fake sales woman trying to make you go for a complimentary breakfast 7 miles away from the property, probably for a time share sales speech. The rooms are very outdated but at least they were clean. The staff is 50/50 some are polite and nice and some are rude and careless. They do mistakes with the orders. For instance, they brought us fish and chips when we ordered chicken tenders by the pool. And the service is extremely slow, we ordered breakfast at 9:40am we got the food served by 10:30am. Service at the pool is also slow even on days when the pool was quite empty. Breakfast is good and prices are reasonable but it could be a bit more Mexican traditional. Drinks by the pool are not great. All smoothies and cocktails felt watered down. Spa prices are ridiculously expensive a 50 minutes massage is $200 hence why the spa was always empty. Those can’t be the prices of a 3 stars hotel.

The staff was helpful and nice. We stayed in a room with a little kitchen, so cooking was an option. I personally found the prices of the food, in the resort, to be a bit pricey but it's close to good restaurants and the marina. The views from the room were really nice. The pools were clean and there were plenty of chairs.

Solmar resort is beautiful from the outside, and the rooms are big and cozy. The food is terrible at the resort and is insanely expensive. Staff is mixed of some very friendly people and some very snarky people. I also saw staff not being happy whenever I tipped, as if I tipped very little. There's a sense of entitlement for tip. I find this very odd. The location is good. About 20 minutes walk from the town. It can be quite a lot if you have to do it every day. Because of the terrible food at the resort, we'd goto the town everyday which made the whole relaxation part of the trip quite challenging.

The resort units are amazing with spectacular views. When we went in 2020 with the meal plan, our trip was remarkable. However, our most recent trip in December of 2022, breakfast and lunch were pretty good and the dinners were all awful; we had burned or tasteless food that usually took 90+ minutes of waiting. Even more frustrating is that the meal plan price (all-inclusive) went up 30%. I will not be returning - there are way better options in Cabo.

3* for a 3* hotel Location is great Service is good Pool drinks are watered down badly and the pool area is full of flies Check in is very poor - starting the journey with a very messy airport and long journey from there at the hotel, after check in, guests are invited to the next step for a very annoying sales pitch which includes some free drinks at the hotel plus free breakfast. At a sister property 7 miles away?!?? Rooms look 20 year old but they are clean. Good room service Location is great, views to the ocean and walking distance to the town Overall an average experience, nothing to write home about.

I organized a last minute work trip to this resort. The hotel staff were incredibly flexible and accommodating with our complicated requirements around arrival times and room requirements. We also had a work event onsite, which they organized everything for. Erika in particular was incredibly helpful. We even organized an impromptu welcome drinks party at the bar and they just set everything up for us on the fly. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are huge. We had a junior suite which slept 4 and had two bathrooms. The hotel is about an hour from the airport and about 5 minutes walk from the Marina. The town is about 15 minutes walk but there are taxis always available. The pools are lovely and offer a swim up pool bar. The only minor issue is the local beach which is too dangerous to swim at. The nearest safe swimming beach is on the other side of the town.

Receptionist were unwelcoming and went out of their way to explain the limits of our stay within first 5 minutes. Our AC didn't work in the first room we stayed at so after request to change rooms got downgraded to a room with fewer amenities upon and irritated Receptionist. Service by the pool was exceptional but pity about the front desk staff.

We were here over 20 years ago before the 2 other resorts were built. The new locations add more amenities and ambiance. The views from upper balcony floors and the beach are some of the best here. Food and drinks are pricey here as to be expected. The marina is easy walking distance so hiring a fishing or sightseeing boat is no problem. Uber is cheap to hire so pass the strip and find a good local place to eat like Campestre, serves a giant breakfast plate to get u started.

The Good: tasty food. Drinks are delicious. All inclusive is the way to go because it’s expensive paying per meal and drink. Mojitos are perfect. Last basic resort on beach. Felt very intimate. Perfect for relaxing which is why we went. The service was good. The hotel room by the pool is the best. The Bad: service is good only if you tip. margaritas were bad. When we checked out, Carlos from Acupulco wanted to kick us out right away and put us in a shuttle. Carlos was rude and did not help with the shuttle. No one came to us once we checked out by the pool. They did not even acknowledge us. No matter how much we tipped before, they could not care less about how we were there. Overall fun stay but was left with a bad taste in my mouth.

This place reminds me of an old school hacienda, it is very old world, old Mexico. We used a booking site so the price was great for what we paid. The room was spacious and very clean. I recommend getting the all inclusive option so that you only have to worry about tipping.

This is a good value for money resort on a beautiful beach. The beach is private with No vendors. Swimming is best in the pools due to currents. Marina and downtown are a a 10 minute walk

I chose this hotel because it had predominately positive reviews, I'm on a budget, and it is reasonably priced. My stay here had the potential to be very good, however poor and extremely unprofessional staff made my stay just short of a nightmare. The main problem I had is with the key cards required to get into your room. Every time I left my room, I was locked out. If you bring your key card near an electronic device, it cancels the card, which is technology that I have used before at many hotels without issue. However, even when keeping my key card isolated in the pocket of my board shorts, upon bringing it out to get into my room, it would not work - not once - prompting me to walk to reception and back EVERY single time I needed to get into my room. This would sometimes turn into a 45+ minute process of me trying to get into my room. Not once did my key card work, even when kept far away from my electronics. Over the course of about 5 days, I probably spent an entire day (12+ hours) waiting around for a bellboy or staff to let me into my room. One time, the housekeeping ladies were outside my room - one of the ladies had just cleaned my room about 10 minutes earlier - so you would think she would trust that the room was in fact mine and let me in with her master-key. Not even the housekeeping staff would let me in. One lady tried to pretend like she couldn't help because she didn't speak English. I politely asked her in Spanish if she could let me in and pointed to her coworker who had personally cleaned my room no more than 10 minutes earlier. They said NO. AND, you cannot call the hotel from your cell phone. The phone number found online does not work. My second complaint is that the hotel staff did nothing about various noise complaints which made it difficult to sleep. One night there was a party of 5-6 girls on the balcony very near my room. They were talking extremely loud - literally shouting at each other in Spanish - very audible even from a distance making it impossible to relax and sleep. I called the front desk to complain. An operator picks up the phone and transfers me to the front desk which took quite some time, perhaps because it was late at night around 11:30pm. I was waiting on my balcony for the security guard to show up to tell the party of girls shouting in Spanish to be quiet. After waiting some time, I called again as they were only getting louder. I was told by the front desk that the "security guard" walked by the room, noticed the party, but did nothing and blamed the boisterous noise on the fact that I was standing outside. I called again and I was told that "it's okay because we called." He told me they called their room but no one picked up. Their loud party on the balcony continued and kept me awake most of the night. The WORST thing that happened to me at this hotel was at lunch. Yes, there are lots of people that come to Cabo to drink alcohol and lounge at the pool. I am not one of those people. Anyways, I ordered an iced tea. The first time I received an arnold palmer. I'm on a low-sugar diet - it was very, very sweet. I sent it back and asked for unsweetened. The waiter said no problem and comes back 15 minutes later with what appeared to be an iced tea. I took one sip and it did not take me more than a fraction of a second to detect the drink he gave me was extremely alcoholic. I had planned to go scuba diving that afternoon and had to cancel my plans and eat a cancellation fee because I was somewhat buzzed from the waiter serving a non-drinker a stiff cocktail at 3:45pm when I had just asked for an iced tea! The sushi bar is a nice touch, especially with the all-inclusive bands. However, the service at the pool and restaurant is extremely slow. The restaurant(s) is clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. It takes 20+ minutes of sitting down just to even be noticed by staff. Then another 20-30 minutes just for your drink to arrive. AVOID this place if you can afford to.

Loved the staff, loved the resort. Very clean, and huge. The beach is private. The food is a bit white washed in my opinion. Although the locals make it, it is not seasoned, which I was told it's to cater to the taste of those that frequent the resort ▫️. As the only Black person that was there.... This was disappointing. The food was decent. If you are looking for authentic Mexican, you will have to leave the resort. The drinks were cool. The kamikaze is where it's at, and you will understand what I mean when you get the other inclusive drinks lol. There is security outside of the resorts, so it's very safe. Everyone must sign in and out. Overall I had alot of fun, I felt safe and this is a great place to be.

Excellent resort, offering 5 pools, including an adult pool, hot tub, private beach. Beach volleyball, horseshoes, Zumba, water aerobics and a gym. Very clean with a great staff. We've had delicious food and top shelf drinks.

We're owners here and we absolutely love it! Beautiful views. Wonderful staff. Turn down service. Everything is wonderful. They have different themes during each day if you're interested in participating. There's a coffee shop on grounds which I love. The food is phenomenal and there are many choices from fish tacos to sushi, burgers and fries to chicken. Lots of choices. We love to spend our evenings at the swim up bar/ infinity pool. You can watch the sunset. Overall we love it!

Because it was on a beach that wasn't swimmable, it was noticably less crowded than the other resorts. Staff was always friendly and willing to go above and beyond, including with extra drinks and food. There are beaches within reasonable hiking distances or cab rides. Overall great time. Too much tequila 😂 But it was great.

Solmar Resort was clean, their staff offered excellent service, and the location is fantastic (close to the marina and beautiful beach with both sunrise and sunset views). The rooms and some facilities are a little dated. Nonetheless, the price at Solmar Resort was reasonable.

Great place with lots of pluses. Comfortable, spacious, clean, convenient. Efficient, pleasant staff. Lots of meal choices, drinks are delicious. Proximity to the beach is a great feature. Proximity to town and market too, all within walking distance. Staff adheres to sanitary policies, masks, hand wash and social distancing. All wear name tags.

I will highly recommend Solmar Resort. It was clean, the staff offered excellent service, and the location is close to the marina and beautiful beach. Its walking distance from downtown (Uber costs 2-3$ from resort to downtown), Resort has both sunrise and sunset views. Luisa at the front desk was amazing. She could not find my reservation ( which was paid for) and needed to put a hold on my credit card, in lieu of this minor discomfort she upgraded my room to a suite with a sea facing view. Resort offers on site covid testing ($24). A tip - book your airport shuttle via the resort for your trip ($21 one way)
