Simple small hotel with excellent service in reception and also by restaurant. We had a superior room which was very nice, clean and modern. Air conditioning made temperature perfect even in very hot days. Location is good, not far from Nile and city center. Good place to stay for its price. I loved that there was a book-shelf also in lobby with some good books to read.

Quaint hotel with an English speaking receptionist available to help with anything 24/7. Room service can bring you breakfast/lunch/dinner or you can eat in the little restaurant area which has a nice balcony and view of urban Cairo. Located in a historic affluent neighborhood known for having many embassies and foreign residents. The “Superior Rooms” are newly renovated and very nice.

We booked a superior room and stayed here for two weeks so far. Our room is very clean, spacious and the bed is very comfortable. AC works perfectly and the shower is strong. This place is a comfortable hotel where you feel at home. All the staff are great and they are happy to help you with anything :) The lobby area has comfy seating to chill out with some food or some beer. My boyfriend highly recommends the 50egp breakfast. It's a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and cosy. The location is the best part about the hotel also. OK its located on the 4th floor of a building but you have friendly doormen downstairs and there is an elevator. Also there are some little shops next door to the hotel to get juice or cigarettes. The location is the best because you are within 2 min walk of many coffee shops and food places , shopping centre, pub 28, college. Etc! You can get anything you want within 2 mins. Highly recommend :) good value

Such a hidden gem. Positive vibes, nice terrace, lovely helpful staff:old world Chevalier, good location, nice neighbourhood, chic old school common area and good rates. They have renovated and retro rooms, so it's up to your taste. Both of them are cool and clean and comfy:) Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

The hotel located in a good place in Zamalek. A quiet and comfortable place . The problems centered around their policy in refusing allowing visitors to visit residents away from the area of the small area in the reception. A second issue in not fixing the shower properly

I stayed there for a full week, very clean rooms, friendly staff, and superb 👌 location. I am giving the rooms 4 stars because the rooms feels to be small, but it was way better than what I expected. Despite being in the middle of zamalek it was very quite

Really nice and charming hotel, located in a calm area, which you will be happy to join after a long and tiring day in the noisy Cairo. The staff is lovely and will do everything to make you feel at ease. Good breakfast. The rooms have a nice vintage vibe even though the cheapest ones need a refreshment. Highly recommended !

The most unprofessional attitude I've ever met! Receptionists there are not kind at All, Racist .. & pretty unqualified to deal with people! & it's really Very Expensive (60$ per night) in comparing with the service .. which is nothing! Zamalek ( where this house located) is one of the most beautiful places in Cairo but this horus is not!

My last days in Cairo. Located in the beautiful, Island actually on the Nile, city of Zamalek. An artists colony. Galleries and cafes. Night life, narrow windy roads. Must see place.

It is a very old hotel, but they are (little by little) modernizing, rooms are quite clean and the staff are very nice and friendly. I was there for work and I repeat 10 times. The streets around are safe enought and you can have nice walks.

My experience here has been more than positive. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. The position of the hotel is a big plus : it is close enough to the city centre but it is situated in a nice quiet street in Zamalek. The rates are good and you definitely get value for your money. I highly recommend it 👌.
