The food looks nice and tasty. But one thing I noticed was the utensil was dirty especially the fork so I was trying to clean it with the tissue. And little bit gross because they put rotten mint inside the jar. 😳 The ambiance was good.

Great decor Great service Food was nice with great selection 3 adults + 2 kids = ~£90 Only issue is the way they serve the bottomless fizzy drinks, brought over to the table in jugs, and poured from height, that removes all the fizz. (Lost 2 stars for that)

The food that we were given was different from what we ordered - sandwiches not tapas, entirely changed taste. In the kids food, hotdog, the meat quality was really bad and we found something hard in it. The service wasn't great.

Having had a good experience eating here in the past we specifically chose the hotel just across the street to stay in prior to crossing the channel the next day. Making it a type of dinner bed and breakfast. We entered the restaurant and were quickly met by a member of the staff and asked for a table for two. We were ushered to a table just inside the door and as it was a cold wet night asked for a different table. Had it not been for another member of staff (a manager possibly) we would have been given no choice. We were given a booth and menus and sat down. I was not comfortable in the cramped booth and moved over one table to a table with movable seats. I have a knee injury and can’t sit comfortably without stretching my leg. Neither my wife or I touched the table in the booth but the first member of staff we had met made a show of cleaning the table TWICE! We picked what we wanted to eat and drink and waited to be served. The serving staff made a show of speaking with the bar staff while looking and pointing at us. This began to feel intimidating and somewhat humiliating. The first member of staff seemed to have a massive problem with our lack of French. I speak 3 languages but not French. But who needs to speak the native language in a restaurant? I have travelled all over the world and never failed to order food. It started to feel a little racially motivated. People all around us were being served but not us. The other customers around us were now paying us a great deal of attention clearly picking up on what the staff were doing. After 15 minutes of sitting waiting, with members of the bar staff and serving staff clearly talking about us and pointing at us the first member of staff came close enough for us to ask for a drink and to order food. She said 2 minutes and walked off. After another few minutes she came back and said that the section of the restaurant we were sitting in was now closed and she pointed at the original small table just inside the door. I and my wife now felt totally humiliated and embarrassed. I now strongly felt that she was acting in a racially motivated manner. I am a financial director of a company that runs a hotel with a bar and restaurant. I would terminate the employment of any of our staff if I found out that they had treated any customers in any part of our business in such a disgusting manner. I sincerely hope that you look into this matter and deal with it accordingly. You will see from my profile that I tend not to leave poor reviews as I am acutely aware of how difficult it is to make a business profitable in the current economic climate but can not let this pass. Ironically the service in the Mac Donald’s next door was excellent.

I like to come back to this restaurant for fantastic fries and cajun! Hands down to tonight's service made by Charles and Gaetan, the chef. Merci

It was quite nice, the music is not great but that is a matter of opinion.the service was pretty fast. The onion rings were amazing.the food was good, I would have rated that 4.7 what it was not an option.

The burger 🍔 was nice and crispy, and the chips were yummy. No trouble finding a seat. Also not too far from our apartment in car.

"'Murica yeah!" This restaurant is so American it made me build a wall between me and my neighbor! The burgers are made just the way the founding fathers intended. And the fries are so infused with FREEDOM that I almsot went on a trip to the middle east. Just by eating in this diner, I became to biggest superpower in my town. The American spirit is so well preserved that I almost became a cowboy (Due to a lack of cows I had to become a catboy)

Very nice decor, great fries but the steak was awful and overpriced. I suggest to go somewhere else for regular diner/pub food.

Don’t bother!! Food was SWIMMING in grease. My partner would eat most things and he couldn’t finish his it was awful. Left feeling not well and €57 lighter for something that made us feel unwell.

Needed to stop for food on a long journey. Memphis are a well known chain of 'burger joints'. This one was better than most. Friendly, courteous staff. Reasonable pricing and the food was OK too. Nothing amazing, but certain more than adequate. The pictures on the wall are quite fun and interesting too.

Excellent, clean and novel restaurant set as a diner. Provides a fusion of French and US cuisine and setting. We were made to feel welcome and even our dog was welcome. This was our second visit and we made sure we came back.

This is our second visit to the Memphis Calais and probably the last! The service was good, but the food was less than average, small portions and not very hot, in fact the corn on the cob was cold. Shame as our first visit had been excellent.

Meals were very expensive for the size and quality and service is quite slow with people reluctant to be there. It you’re looking for a very kitschy experience go for but you’ll pay for it.

We came back to this place as our first visit had been good. The service on Wednesday was poor, the food not great and we both had an upset stomach in the afternoon.

Fun decor, friendly and fast service. The mozzarella donuts, chips and onion rings were tasty. Burger was disappointing though - the bread was dry and the patty was pretty thin on meat and seasoning...not like the menu pics at all.
