Convenient location to the Marina and dock. The food quality was good but the wait time was much too long. I think we waited about 45 minutes for simple clams to arrive. I declined french fries but they brought them anyway. I showed them a picture of vegetables from their menu. They brought me a salad. Well I guess they are vegetables but green beans is what I wanted. The wait staff were polite but obviously frustrated at the disorganized kitchen. Washrooms were ok, not dirty but satisfactory. Get organized if you want to Excell.

We had a lovely time! The atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly! We started with the grey shimps - always a good idea in this region. As a main I had the steak flambé - an absolutely excellent dish, well presented, flambé-ed at the table, a beautiful view! My wife had the oriental mussels (one of many to choose from). It was a nice portion, and the taste was great. They have a nice wine selection, and we picked the right one for our taste! Certainly worth the visit!

Great service and incredible food. 12/10. Extremely good value. Recommend you reserve a table before going. Toilet seat is a bit high though and cramped if services are required. I had to tiptoe despite being 5'11. Thanks team.

Good location and seafood platters look very appetising but the regular dishes not so much. I am sure the seafood here is fresh and good but the pasta and meat dish wasn’t that great. Overall it’s not bad and they open daily till 10pm so a good choice if you crave for seafood. They also have a nice large covered terrace and few more outdoor tables for smokers. It’s also dog friendly which is another bonus.

I’m so disappointed that I spent my last night in Calais there, because I came away feeling like they don’t like Americans, and maybe the French in general don’t, because we waited 2 hours for our entree, while others that had arrived later had already been served and eaten theirs. The location is great; it was beautiful to sit outside. Once we finally got our food, it was good. But we had to get up and ask for more water, and no one ever asked if we wanted more beers or cocktails, and nothing was ever cleared away. The table was small and it got old looking at our empty glasses and other things that should have been taken away. I never want to travel in France again.

What was a big seafood plate than I expected. That was very kind of the staff because they packed the seafood plate left to go. There are reasonable wines selected. Main course were also pretty good. You can park around here.

I'm delighted to give 5 stars on all levels. This is a fabulous place to dine. The staff are friendly and helpful with an exemplary manner. For me, the food was first class. Perfect portions, well presented and beautifully cooked. I speak very little French and I am grateful to the staff for their patience. Highly recommended and easily in my French top ten.

Good spot for lunch or dinner, Nice and cosy room, The dishes are generous. The waiter was very Nice and pretty ! Mussels are clearly well cooked. For 2 adults and 2 kids, we had for 84€ without drinks. Not top Bad. Beware of your shirt, mussels are with some sauce.

There’s a great variety of sea food and service was very nice! Unfortunately, they have no vegetarian options but it was possible to order a dish without any meat/seafood added to it, which they prepared for me and it was delicious!

Our last night so went to this Brasserie after a 4 week tour of France & Spain, we were more than happy with the food, service & value for money. Very dog friendly, we will stop here on our next trip for sure 😋

Good seafood restaurant, friendly service, quality food and nice ambiance. My wife and I dined there late Sunday afternoon before driving to the tunnel home. It was quiet, but everything was just what we wanted. Good service and good food.

Service was good but the best thing we ordered was beer and wine. The mussels weren't cleaned properly and I was eating mouth fulls of sand with each bite but that sauce of the mussels du dragon was good. The fish in the chef recommendations was underseasoned and overcooked and mussels were dipped in sand prior to serving. Wouldn't recommend and wouldnt go back.

Why can the French be so “Difficult” when they hear an English accent ? (Note restaurant far from closing, at least 70% occupied & no one looking like they had finished) This is now a disaster for the Calais Tourist Economy, because apparently no-one is ever hungry or eats after 10pm in Calais. Well that’s €150 saved by not having dinner and going to bed hungry. Here’s a picture of last years seafood 🦞 dinner because we ordered at 9.55 pm and that’s OK obviously 🙄 Over the years we have had a couple of great dinners at this place and half a dozen very mediocre ones. Well it delights me not to be pumping any € or £ into the French economy, I will never again eat at Brasserie de la Mer Calais.

Food is nice nothing extraordinary and no surprise to be expected. It is a bit overpriced for the quality of food. I would recommend this place only for the mussels.

Really good food at a good price. They make strong mixed drinks and garnish with gummies candies.
