Excellent restaurant dans le centre de Calais. Le service est accueillant et sympathique. Les plats sont bons et copieux. Les menus sont parfaits, offrant un excellent rapport qualité/prix. La formule du midi, si elle existe encore, est vraiment superbe. PS: on a pu prendre à emporter le dessert compris dans le menu car nous n’avions plus faim. 👍

J'ai partagé un très bon moment avec mes parents dans ce restaurant pour le soir du 14 juillet. Le service était de qualité et rapide, réactif. L'endroit est calme et lumineux, j'ai beaucoup aimé la décoration ! Concernant les plats : c'était bon , une cuisine simple avec un bon rapport qualité prix. Petit problème : l'assaisonnement. Manque un petit peu de sel ou épices pour relever le goûts des ingrédients, qui restent de qualité.

Nous sommes maintenant des habitués de l'essentiel et nous sommes toujours ravies des plats proposés, c'est même difficile de faire son choix. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Le décor est soigné et le personnel super agréable et à l'écoute. Quand nous voulons bien manger on ne cherche plus, nous allons à l'essentiel. C'est devenu notre restaurant fétiche pour nos grandes célébrations.

Food was sooo good. Very delicious, everything looks nice and fresh. No english menu available. It was hard to translate, even with a translator online. Bread would be nice with the Entrée

The food was bad, the place - dirty and the service - non existant. I had to beg several times to get water and again and again when it was finished. My food didn't have any taste (fish) and café gourmand was just a coffee with different kinds of cookies. The toilet was stinky, the place had a smell of old and the menus were dirty. There was only 1 girl serving and it was clearly not enough.
