We stayed here on the way back from Spain before getting the tunnel back the next morning. Nice little hotel 10 mins from the tunnel, didn't have breakfast, the room was cosy and the bed was comfy, quite quiet considering an old hotel. There's a restaurant attached to it and it has a bar. Loads of parking spaces too. Would recommend...

Good price for a start, nice little bar with big screen TV, fenced and secure parking, Staff are very nice, food was good and reasonably priced. 3 rd time I’ve stopped here on the way back to the UK., 5 mins drive from the ferry’s. Rooms small but clean, for a one nighter you couldn’t ask for more. Thanks!!!

Stayed here before and was impressed so we've come back again with friends. Ideally located not far from ferry terminal and the wine warehouses. Hotel very clean, rooms spotless, staff courteous and a nice continental breakfast which certainly kept us going. Highly recommended for a short break or overnight stay for onward journey. We'll definitely be going back again. Louision was very nice and allowed us to check in a little earlier than expected, credit to her.

Very much a budget hotel but not a budget price. Stayed here as had an early train booked the next day. Hotel is very basic and dated in a rough looking part of Calias. Rooms are small with no tea/coffee making facilities, bathroom was OK but shower cold even at 7.30am. Bed was comfortable enough. Food and drinks in bistro were decent enough and cheap. Free car park. Staff were very busy but still friendly. Stay here if you need a no frills place to stay. Keep your expectations low and it will be fine!

Last stop before catching ferry home. Basic clean and comfortable. Front facing room was a little noisy through the night

We stay here whenever we're going to catch the chunnel train. Perfect, convenient location. Rooms very good, good value breakfast and drinks available.

Great for an overnight stay before taking Eurotunnel train: reasonable price, comfy bed, good breakfast, lots of parking spaces (free), carrefour gas station 4 mins away. (-) Soundproofing of rooms isn't the best unfortunately

On the plus side the hotel was clean, staff were fine & it's handily placed ten minutes drive from the channel tunnel. On the minus side the rooms were the smallest and most basic I think I've experienced and the location looks like a bit of a war zone! Overall the hotel is very functional, just about OK to stay a night before crossing the channel but I'd recommend checking out alternatives first.

Hotel is too expensive for the conditions. Poor location, far from the beach, nothing around, need a car to get anywhere. Food is subpar, too much sugar for breakfast, no healthy options, rooms are dark, small windows, the view from the windows is tiresome - at this price, so far from the city center and the beach - I do not recommend. Service - nothing exceptional, dull faces, no smiles. The only good thing is the large parking area. Prices inflated by 50%

Very well situated hotel for a stopover either on arriving in France or for an overnight stopover before taking a ferry/tunnel on the following day. Quiet location, friendly Staff, plentiful breakfast and near Calais centre for an evening visit if time available.

Good value for money. We got what we expected. Yes, rooms are small, but for 2 people for one night more than enough. We are in love with the cat hosting hotel guests:) You can easily walk to the centre.

we arrived from Le Shuttle after a long day. Hotel is perfectly located for quick onward journey. Staff are lovely, room compact but does the job. Bar open late with nice beer and breakfast very good. Dogs allowed too so overall great experience at a realistic price.

Clean and quiet. Good hot shower, comfortable bed, above all it was quiet, no distubance, neither from other guests nor from outside. Partook of a hot microwaved snack with bar drink in the area adjoining reception before bed. Next morning an extensive choice at Breakfast included hot options (scrambled egg etc) and coffee.

Perfectly located between ferry port and tunnel terminal. Friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable beds, clean and a proper bathroom with a full shower. Quiet. Good choice for breakfast. This is our "go to" place when we're travelling to or from the UK.

Once again this IBIS Hotel offered the perfect accomodation for the "Night before the Ferry". A friendly team welcomed us. The Restaurant offered a good meal. The city centre is just a 20 min walk away. Will return at my next trip to France

We stayed one night before the tunnel crossing next morning. When we arrived realised I have booked wrong day but guy at reception was very kind and changed the date only charged the price difference. Room was good to sleep the night, quiet, good shower, kettle, tea coffee. Excellent place to charge the car before you hit the road. Nice big car park with 4 fast EV chargers.

extremely pleased with our stay the staff were very friendly and responded very quickly to queries, breakfast was excellent and the check in and out was very easy only downside was we stayed in room 10 and I cut my leg on a screw that was protruding out of the right hand side of the bed, would definatly stay here again

Ideally situated for the ferry. Excellent parking! Room was small, but clean and had everything we needed. The staff are polite friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic! Such a great selection! We will definitely be back!

Not a bad place to stay if in Calais. Nice evening meal, great breakfast. Only stayed 1 night. I was on a cycling trip to Paris. These hotels are great value for a 1 night stay while travelling. The aircon was rubbish my only gripe.

The room was small but clean. Very convenient to the Eurotunnel. Good food at both dinner and breakfast. Staff members were polite and helpful. Convenient for walking the dog. Areas for improvement include: Breakfast area could be kept cleaner. The WiFi was really terrible. Lack of air conditioning is inconvenient during hot summer nights.

It is just an Accor Chain Hotel, not more, not less - but there is more to say about the place: every time we stayed there, the service was flawless, the room was clean, and breakfast really nice. Sometimes it is a bit noisy with people arriving at 10 or 11 in the evening, but that is just what it is. During the night it is quiet around the area, and you get your sleep. The location is excellent for ferry or tunnel access to the UK, there is lots of parking, a few meters down the road is a little park to walk a dog - all we ever needed. The prices went up too high lately since everything is getting a bit old around the rooms. We will always check here first when going or coming to the UK.

Rooms are 20 years behind, but secure locked car park, plenty of space! Free parking and cheap rent, it's sort of what you expect at this price

Tired and grubby rooms. Unfriendly bored staff. Needs closing for a month for a deep clean and opening with new staff. Come on Accor, you can do better than this.

After reading the reviews we decided to book this hotel was at a great price this hotel seems to be delivering well. However, due to an injury we will no longer be able to do a road trip for a while, so we had to cancel our entire trip. Ibis Calais Car Ferry demonstrated going the extra mile and kindly refunded us fully even though our booking was nonrefundable. That's shows a great customer service and therefore well definitely stay here once we'll be able to travel by car again. Thank you!

Usual Ibis standard, good choice at breakfast, room was a bit tired. Very hard to find in Calais. Make sure you know how to get there.

Not a good hotel to stay at although the staff were very helpful and charming , when I stayed the restaurant wasn't open not good for someone who has traveled from Manchester england

Absolute dire, small rooms with old corridors and a “restaraunt” serving frozen packet fish that’s limp and stinking and asking why you didn’t like it, good lord, in this day & age there’s no place for establishments as bad as this

  • 4/5 Matthias R. 1 year ago on Google
Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Might need a bit of updating in the rooms etc. But overall good and practical being close to the euro tunnel and ferry.

Good value overnight hotel. Very clean but a little tired. Friendly staff.

Lovely staff, BUT… rooms were outdated with no air conditioning and were showing signs of wear and were very sad looking. Breakfast was ok, but the awfully hot stuffy nights sleep made it painful for a one night stop

This place is for whoever needs to have a layover or a quick stay. I wouldn’t recommend it for long stays. The rooms are standard, no air conditioning. Although, there were soaps, towels provided. Personally I didn’t try out the breakfast as me and my husband stayed for only one night. Check in is 24/7 which was very good for us :). Overall it was great for us who were looking for somewhere to sleep for a couple of hours!
