We are actually guests, unfortunately the reception is no available. We had to go to the neighbouring restaurant to get the entry key. Floors and stairs on the way to the room are not cleaned. The freezing compartment closing door of the fridge is missing. Save use of the doors below the cooking place is questionable. We are not happy. Here are some changes, remounts needed. One more experience...Wednesday, no hot water from 12:00,now it is almost 19:00 and still cold water. Too cold to take a shower...asked at the temporary reception, the restaurant mentioned above, they know the problem, but cannot help. So we must stay dirty as we came from the beach, it is a pitty. To stay in this hotel was a bad idea, too late now. The promised languages mentioned on the website are not spoken. This is one more thing the owner should work on. Just my opinion... One more: Several, maybe not all, guests ignore to use their masks. Here the owner should care in my eyes to let his guests more save.

The place simply needs bring up to date, when you arrive you are welcomed with broken tiles, which have grass growing through the broken bits. Nice entrance hallways, but the rooms are very dated... we had mould in the silcone in the bathroom. The white fittings had yellowed with age, with vent flaps missing, limited number of sockets in the room. The door had dropped meaning you have to slam the door to close it, which is not nice when we left around 6am to catch a ferry. They have changed the bathroom colour over the years, you can tell this as the pain job is very bad, even when they removed sockets, you can see where the old socket was. For over 80Euro, can be 100Euro at peak times, its shameful and i think the only reason why it is busy is because it's not far from the ferry. They provided us with 2 cups and 2 towels for a fmaily of 4 in a 4 person room??? Overall it would make a nice hotel, but it needs some love and care - just to replace fittings in the room / paint / get rid of the floating ceiling / textured walls etc.. Good things... Clean bedding / nice side of Calais / free parking / rooms not a bad size / nice liquid soap Bad things.... Very dated / uncared for / towels are the worst i have ever used, so thin, might as well used toilet paper.

Stayed for a night before a channel crossing, we weren't expecting much however it managed to be worse than expected. No reception so had to go to the restaurant next door to get a key. The hotel design seems to be based on (and is about as inviting as) Wormwood Scrubs. The door to our room wouldn't shut unless you slammed it, vibrating most of the building. The walls are tatty and the skirting boards didn't look like they'd been cleaned for weeks. The mattresses on the bunk beds were too small so my kids spent part on the night on the metal bed frame. The only plus was the fast and reliable WiFi signal. If you have a choice between this hotel and a bench, I'd marginally recommend this hotel.

The worst hotel I have ever seen. They washed bathrooms with vinegar so the smell was so bad. There is no air conditioning, no shampoo, actually nothing. Towels were wet! I asked for the sea view but the only thing we could see was the wall! We asked for taxi for 9 and they called for taxi at 9 ! So we closed to lose our tickets. Anyway i am not recommending this hotel to anyone else.

I was not expecting much as it was an emergency booking as our usual places were not available. The constant smell of cigarette smoke and people walking around at all hours of the night was d

Short of saying awful, I'm not sure what else to say. Noisy with dogs barking, the restaurant next door with shouting and screaming employees, cars and lorries coming passed, deliveries at 7am, residents walking around all night. The room is woeful. The kitchen is a great idea but no pots or pans or cutlery or even a spoon to stir your drink in the paper cups provided. I had to go and ask for towels as they were not supplied! In the recent heatwave a fan would have provided some relief. Instead the windows open into the room and then you can't close the curtains. The room decor is dreadful. Tired, old and worn out. I particularly like the high quality finish of the repair in the toilet. No reception, it's at the nextdoor hotel. So don't take your bags out of the car till you get the key to your cell. It's not cheap either. There must be better out there. A couple of good points though. The room was clean and is close to the beach. If that's what you want, then pay your money. But I wouldn't again.

BED BUGS INFESTATION!!!! We rented two rooms. Loved the large rooms with the proximity to the beach. The restaurant was great. Went to bed and the next morning we woke up and noticed little black spots crawling all over the beds! When I crushed one it turned into little red blood smears. Looked them up on the Internet and saw they were BED BUGS!!! When I called management, the first girl acted a fake surprised and passed me off to the main manager. The main manager also acted suprised but you could see he was fully aware of the problem. The staff that helped us acted like this was a typical problem. We had to wash all of our clothes and clean all of our luggage! One of my children has a reaction to the bites and suffered for a week. Now we check under every bed we sleep in!!! Bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs!!!

Extreme lack of working outlets. Dimmest toilet light I have ever seen. Old style bathroom. Squeaky bed. Old style toilet flush (pull up). Bathroom was just horrendous in general. Also next door restaurant workers were having a laugh for a good few hours. The only good thing was the corridor but otherwise avoid at all costs.

Small room but clean and comfortable. Close to the tunnel and once all kids and dogs have gone to bed it's quiet :-) restaurant not 50m down the road which is fine for a 1 night stay. Warm, friendly welcome from the host

Basic hotel which is fine for a short overnight stay. Close to the port for ferries albeit you have to go on a detour to get there so it's not as close as it appears on the map. Hotel next door is linked and offers a good value continental breakfast.

Once we worked out that the reception was next door in the restaurant it was easy to check in! Had dinner of moules Frites, and slept on a comfy bed and had a hot shower in the morning. Room minimalistic but good.

What a mess, more hovel than hotel. Noisy employees, a room fit for... nobody, and overall a miserable experience. Great location, though completely wasted potential

Just arrived here and the place is very lovely. Amazing restaurant downstairs, a beach over the road and spotlessly clean room. All the staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. Really looking forward to the rest of my stay.

Basic and value for money property. An almighty racket during the night though. Seems to be popular with young people wanting a party. Only stayed for one night and would again to see what it's really like but still, what a noise :(
