Divo Diva is a wonderfully unexpected escape from the day to day in the middle of Hillcrest. The owners, Victoria and Rosario, both trained opera singers (Victoria a Metzo Sopano and Rosario a band front man turned classically trained in Naples and Tuscany,), have brought this art to the neighborhood in a most spectacular way. This evening we enjoyed a fixed menu of Cannelloni and Lasagna prepared by a guest chef while mesmerized by their two powerfully, talented voices. The meal was simple and outstanding. Their personable approach to entertaining elevated the experience to truly world class. To experience this level of talent in such an intimate environment will change you. This was one of the most amazing evenings I have had in years.

Such a colorful and appealing interior. A much different aesthetic from most other coffee shops in the area. Good place to come work as there is wifi. (I believe) The owner is from Napoli, and is very friendly. Coffee: Cafe latte with almond milk was great. The specialty coffees were a little sweet for my taste. Coffee comes in a to-go or ceramic cup. * Ask for the ceramic cup if you're staying. Alternative milk options for $1 extra: Almond, soy, oat, coconut Food: Veggie panini was really good.

Victoria and Rosario have transformed this little space into a cozy cafe that serves amazing food and drinks. Try the pistachio croissant, you won’t be disappointed. They have so many wonderful events during the week like Italian language night, gnocchi night (so delicious!), and always with a beautiful performance by the extraordinary duo. Truly a neighborhood spot, I will be spending more time there for sure.

A new favorite! We enjoyed a pistachio treat (one of my favorites) as well as red velvet cake. My husband sipped a kingly nut and I had a classic cappuccino. Felt like we were back in fair Firenze! Can’t wait to go back there!

Cute new spot in Hillcrest/Banker's Hill! @divodivacafe is a European style Cafe with coffee, desserts, brunch, wine/beer and a bunch of other yummy goodies. 😋 The pastries are yummy and you can ask them to have them filled. I added Nutella to my Croissant and it was HEAVEN! They have a bunch of events lined up (like all you can eat pizza!) and we're excited to check em out since they're just a block away. The owners are also so nice and friendly! 😁 #FOOD #Restaurants #Cafe #coffee #desserts #foods #sdfood #foodie #foodlovers

Great new place in Hillcrest to start the day with European coffe, or end the day with a glass of wine. Daily specials. Great Panini Sanwiches. Italian rustic bread is our of this world. PS, owners are opera singers. Musical pasta paired evenings, once a week.

Love coming here! Such a cute Italian/European atmosphere. Great food, fresh pastries & amazing owners. If you’re lucky you might get to hear them sing! (Both highly accomplished opera singers!!)

What a gem! Comfortable and friendly; Outdoor seating or you can sit inside if you would like a the atmosphere of a cozy living room. The cappuccino is unmatched in quality and consistency. They use Cafe Vergnano beans imported from Italy and in the hands of a their talented baristas, the cappuccino is great! I could, but won't, go on. There is so much to be said about this lovely bistro! The quality of the food, (breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch); the pastry, the atmosphere, Victoria and Rosario, (hosts & owners), the nightly specials and variety of activities. This is a unique and welcome addition to the San Diego food scene!

What a beautiful cafe and restaurant! This cafe is gorgeous, with comfortable velvet chairs and simple gold lamps on each table, and the other patrons are up for chatting. We come regularly for the pasta dinner and shows and meet new people each time. Sometimes, I'll stop in alone, have a glass of Italian wine and a plate of lasagne, and chat at the bar. The food is fresh and flavorful; the owners are warm and inviting. Parking is easy, and the meter is directly in front of the cafe. I highly recommend it to all.
