This store is selling expiry products by keeping their personal stickers to create own expiry and manufacturing dates. I have bought poha packet in which the manufacture date says 07/2020 but the packet seems to be too old when I tried peeling off the best before date from the date is 6 months(their sticker says 12 months). They might used some liquid to wipe off actual manufacturing date. When I opened the packet to wash them there were lot of insects and lice’s in it. Even washing after 10 times couldn’t clean that. And most of the products are expired and they are sticking their personal store stickers to sell them(hiding their old best before dates). They are too pricy too compared to other stores and selling all the expired products. Also they sell gold membership card which they charge $60 for cheaper products, to my surprise discounted products prices are being matched by other Indian stores without paying any membership fee. Just a cheap tactic to fool customer. Buyers beware. HIGHLY RECOMENDED NOT TO BUY FROM HERE. And this is my first on the record complain, earlier already I have given 5-6 times complain to the owner but still the same thing. Seriously terrible. I never write a review but I am so done now.

This is an Indian/Asian Grocery with a Cafe inside. Reasonable range of products inside, but I'm only commenting on the Coffees I ordered. There is a counter, Bain Maries with hot food displayed and some very small tables and chairs next to them. Fairly shabby looking overall with all the heaps of paper signs hand written and stuck on the walls and counters. Coffee took a long time to be made and was awful. It seems the person making it really wasn't sure how to operate the machinery properly. The Latte was weak and the milk was WAY too hot, boiling!! The coffee beans were freshly ground, but I suspect they weren't really freshly roasted beans. After purchase I had to ask where to pay and was pointed to the (unattended) supermarket checkout. After several minutes wait I had to ask AGAIN for someone to come out so I could pay! Bad coffee and bad service is just not good enough!

These guys are fantastic. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. I'm pretty certain the most expensive thing on the menu is about $12 and many yummy options for about half that. The service is very friendly, professional and fast. We tried a number of the tidbits and loved all of them and then we tried the dhosa (pictured) and it was completely divine. I especially loved the coconut chutney that came with it. We also had an explore around the supermarket section and were very impressed with the choice and prices. Will definitely be coming back when next in the area. If I wasn't so full I would have tried there lassi which was only $3 so I'll have to come back just to try that I think! If you have even a slight hankering for some good, affordable Indian food with great service do yourself a favour and see these guys. You won't regret it.

I ordered x 2 serving of panipuris, for which I received only one small container of boiled potatoes with chilli powder sprinkled on top. Water to dip pani puri in. Complete waste of money of course. I wonder how could the kitchen even sent this to customer. Can they themselves eat anything like this? I will give one star for at least sending the food.

Most things are on the shelves are way beyond expiry date. I don’t want to harm a small business’s reputation but even after politely showing them that a product is past the expiry date - they don’t bother to remove it from the shelf which shows dishonesty and cunningness on their part, they hope that most people won’t be careful enough to read the expiry date and buy the product. Note to the owners - if you want me to change the rating and regain the trust then please make an effort to remove the long expired products. Their snacks are decent and the hospitality and service are good too but having to check each and every products expiry date is stressful

I would like to report this store for selling expired products since the beginning. It is a disgrace to such an amazing community. Will be reporting this to the concerned authority as it is the council's fault as well for letting such horrendous acts get away without any consequences.

If you want food poisoning this is the place to go :) ! Everything on the shelf is expired. Found some biscuits that expired more than a year ago. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if their only good reviews were from their family members.

Delicious vegetarian find at an unassuming location. We had a late lunch and a lassi. When I remarked on how good the meal was, we found out all of the foods made on the premesis. As we were eating, it seemed that people in the know came in for their warm savoury snacks and fresh sweets to take away. I wish we had taken away more too. Great value, lovely service from Karan- and the sweets were brilliant! I thought Gulab Jamun was my favourite sweet, but Karan introduced us to other flavours to make sure we had the freshest and the best. Definitely worth stopping by for a high quality meal at a very reasonable price.

I feel so bad not supporting an Indian store but I so need to write this review. I’ve been going here ever since it opened. It started with such good staff, great products and amazing quality and service, and then it just started depleting. Even on showing the staff multiple times that the product is expired they’d still put it back on the shelf for another person to suffer, told the owner the cake was expired which he sold he dint bother. They then started to stick their own stickers and on the products with new dates, justifying when caught saying everyone sells old and COVID prices have increased. The man just refused to listen or budge, really sad and disappointed. They either need to change or the council needs to shut this place. Make sure your kids are not eating from here, it’s defined not safe or hygienic.

Great range of Indian groceries. Spices from Maharashtra are available too. Currently selling Diwali decorations, must check out. The owner provides excellent customer service and looks after even a new customer.

Most expensive Indian grocery shop in the Melbourne. Kindly check other store before buying from here. Every single product is expensive as compare to other stores. I bought one product which is easily available everywhere for $11 and they are selling for $18. Be aware. Thanks

I should have read the reviews before visiting this store. Went there for Diwali shopping just to support this shop. We are customer of this shop since it was first opened in BoxHill then moved out from there to current place. Owner is lovely speaking person however we were disappointed because of few reasons. General grocery item he offered good price but when came back home surprised with incorrect expensive price! Diwali diya (4 corners ) charged $4 but India at home $2.25. We bought 4 kg sweets and paid without asking price. went back home saw bills $40 /kg. Called them and I was told all sweets here $40/ kg. We understand some price difference but offering low price to sell and charging more in system is not acceptable . Checked price in Clayton , Carrumdown and BoxHill no where plain burfi and Gulab jamun have this price. No wonder why your shop is empty during festival season however others are extremely busy. We will not be back!!!!! you lost your one of the oldest customer of this shop.

Expensive. You get charged $8 for single vadapav. Some other Indian restaurants offer two for the price of $12. Edit: Maska Chaska (Blackburn) offers 2 for $12. But yes, as per owner, some reputed 5 star restaurants like Chai N Chilli offer 1 for $8.

I had a wonderful in store experience here with my children. One of the people working behind in store allowed myself and my children sample many of their dishes and sweets. I was very grateful for this and the opportunity to have my children try new foods they are not usually accustomed to. My eldest told me that you deserved 5 stars for service and I agree! They also told me that none of their dishes contain meat. I am happy to find good vegetarian meals. One star off as the two dine in tables were fairly unclean and needed a wipe down

I ordered vada pav via Uber. It got delivered in 7 mins as I live like 5 mins away from this place Extremely disappointed, the vada seem out of freezer, hard and cold. There was no green chutney, how am I suppose to eat a cold dry vada pav. I called the store and spoke to Jai- he was so rude and non hospitable. I am a regular customer of this shop and I always get groceries and other stuffs from here. Never going again, Never.

Unpleasant Experience with product as well as Customer Service. I recently visited this store with the intention of exchanging some unsatisfactory products, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The stale quality of the buns was disappointing enough, but what truly compounded my dissatisfaction was the rude behaviour exhibited by the owner of the store. Upon explaining the issue with the stale buns, instead of receiving a courteous and understanding response, the owner was ignorant, lack of empathy and started shouting on me. It was disheartening to encounter such a negative attitude, especially when seeking a resolution for a product of concern. Upon showing the buns to the owner she neglected it and the response was that it is not fungus. People who are in customer service business should know what is fungus on a bread and how to talk to customers.

The food here is really delicious. Tried the thaali that consisted of paratha, various sabzi, rice and sweets of our choice. Lip smacking!
