this
would
have
been
a
really
bad
review.
We
bought
my
fiancée's
engagement
ring
(a
nice
ring
with
a
topaz
on,
rather
than
a
"traditional"
diamond
ring)
here
just
after
we
got
in
engaged,
in
February
2020.
Just
under
a
year
later,
with
all
the
shops
shut
due
to
Covid,
the
ring
broke.
I
was
assured
over
email
that
I
could
bring
the
ring
in
once
the
shops
opened,
and
that
it
would
be
under
warranty.
5
weeks
after
being
advised
that
the
waiting
time
for
repairs
was
5-6
weeks,
we
were
told
that
was
to
an
estimate,
and
that
the
repair
would
be
*another*
6
weeks.
All
in
all,
11
weeks
after
giving
our
engagement
ring
back,
we
received
it,
and
had
had
to
pay
for
the
repair.
Within
2
weeks
it
broke
again,
so
I
returned
to
the
store,
fuming
enough
to
immediately
ask
for
the
manager,
and
vowing
to
return
it
and
never
shop
here
again.
Tom,
the
branch
manager,
could
not
have
been
more
helpful.
He
was
sympathetic
to
the
issues
we'd
had
and
the
time
things
had
taken,
and
did
all
he
was
able
to
do
to
support
us.
He
offered
to
take
the
ring
back
in
exchange
for
something
else,
and
had
at
this
point
been
so
helpful
and
up-front
that
we
decided
to
look
at
purpose-sold
diamond
engagement
rings.
Tom
ordered
all
the
rings
we
wanted
to
look
at
for
us
in
the
right
size,
and
talked
us
through
them
until
after
closing
time.
As
a
final
token,
Tom
arranged
for
a
free
drink
for
us
at
a
bar
upstairs,
which
was
such
a
nice
touch
and
much
appreciated.
In
the
end,
we
left
happy
customers,
with
a
beautiful
engagement
ring
and
would
recommend
this
store
and
Tom
in
particular,
to
anyone.
