We stayed for 8 nights in May of this year and had an excellent time. From check in to check out every single staff member was outstanding and gave us five star service, from the pool bartenders to evening servers we were always well taken care of. Special shout-out to Alejandro V. at the Market Cafe who we had the pleasure of meeting while at the resort. He gave us OUTSTANDING service and we actually went back to the restaurant multiple times during our stay because he consistently provided 5 star service. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. Everything was very clean. We got the preferred club and had access to the rooftop pool which is the best at the resort. Great beach views. The concierge team was very pleasant and patient with us, they went over all of our activity options and helped us choose a few off site things to do during our stay.

Pros: The food & drinks were very good! Which I was surprised about considering this is an all inclusive. The staff was also very attentive so no complaints in that aspect. Cons: The hotel was very pretty but there was a sewer smell in the lobby area. It seemed like the smell was attempted to be masked by fragrance, but it was still unpleasant. The hotel also does not maintain its beach clean as other resorts are constantly trying to clean the seaweed off the sand. I found the restaurants to close early as well as the bar area (11pm). Which left the hotel feel empty & boring as there was no entertainment afterwards. Which can be a pro or con depending on whether you are willing to travel outside of the hotel for entertainment. The rooms were very pretty and clean as well but there is room for more attention to detail. The hotel needs to remove appliances that have rust such as the makeup mirror. It makes the room feel of a lower level. When the attempt is to have a luxury stay experience. Also, I was only give two pillows which were pretty flat. I never have had this happen even at lower scaled hotels.

We stayed here for 4 nights. This is NOT a 4 diamond resort like advertised. Dirty sheets, never restocked our towels, and the sealed sodas in our mini bar had dirt in the rims where you put your mouth. Service took almost an hour whenever called for. The worst part is someone threw up in the heated pool, and we immediately warned staff. They took over 15 minutes to evacuate the pool. Safety is clearly not their priority, and they do not care about being clean. Don’t spend any more than $100 total if you stay here.

Choosing Secrets for our romantic getaway was such a good move – it turned out to be an exceptional experience. From the friendly welcome with refreshing drinks to the butler who made our check-in a breeze at the bar, the whole stay felt pretty luxurious. Our butler even shared her contact info for any assistance and updates on hotel activities. The various dining options, especially the Mediterranean restaurant, left a great impression. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the positive vibes. With a bunch of activities at the hotel, we didn't even need to go anywhere, and the complimentary hydrotherapy session was a highlight of our stay. Our only hiccup was the slow room service and not-so-great room service food (especially compared to the restaurants), but it didn't overshadow the overall fantastic stay. Looking forward to coming back to Secrets for our next vacation in Cancun!

I recently celebrated my anniversary with a visit to Secrets the Vine Mexican all-inclusive resort, and it was a memorable experience with a mix of pros and cons. Let's start with the pros: • The food at Secrets the Vine was truly excellent. From delightful Mexican dishes to international cuisine, every meal was a culinary adventure. • The hospitality at this resort has to be some of the best I've ever encountered. The staff treated us like royalty throughout our stay, making us feel truly special. • Housekeeping was top-notch, ensuring our room was always clean and comfortable. • The 24-hour room service was a fantastic convenience, perfect for those late-night cravings. • The resort offered a variety of evening entertainment options, providing some enjoyable and memorable nights. Now, for the cons: • One of the major downsides was the excessive heat in the lobby and main level. This effected most of the dining areas. Initially, we received different excuses from various staff members, but it turned out that the air conditioning on the main level was broken. Yet, they had the fireplace on??? • Unfortunately, most of the entertainment options were sub-par, which was a bit disappointing, given the high expectations. • Some extras, such as the spa, were quite expensive, making them less accessible for those looking to indulge in additional luxuries. • My assigned butler, Abdy, was mostly attentive, but there were moments when he was delayed in responding to our requests, which occasionally disrupted our plans. Despite these downsides, our anniversary trip to Secrets the Vine was still a memorable and enjoyable experience, largely thanks to the excellent food and world-class hospitality.

The resort itself is relatively nice. Good pool areas with friendly bar staff and servers. The room we had was along the side of the building so it gave us a view of the ocean and lagoon but our room must've been just beneath the kitchen for the 12th floor restaurants because there was often a constant odor of cooking grease. As for the food, our experience was that the breakfast buffet was good but the main restaurants we tried were quite awful. We did the Mexican location one evening, the Sea Salt Grill one afternoon, and the Blue Water Grill (steakhouse) another evening. All of which had small portions and lackluster tasting food. The steak house even failed to have the flank steak in stock that was on their menu. Fortunately the resort is across the street from some excellent restaurants that we had opted for the remaining nights. Lastly, be prepared to get harassed for a presentation of some sorts in regards to a timeshare-like product. It's advertised as 90 minutes and they give you credits towards a spa or other in house services but it lasted nearly 2 hours regardless of whether your sign up - we did not. We put it towards a couples massage which actually was very relaxing. Overall I would not recommend this resort. It advertises itself as 5 stars according to Google but it definitely is nowhere near that. I even did a walk through of their "preferred" rooms and was not impressed. I'd consider other all-inclusive resorts at this price point. And be prepared to want to eat out if you consider yourself as an individual with a good taste in food. I was between 2 and 3 stars for my rating but I'll be generous.

The resort is gorgeous! You can tell it's much more modern than the surrounding few! A beautiful high-rise resort with amazing views. The service there is phenomenal! No words can describe the level of service each and every worker provides. HUGE shout out and thank you to Sandra and Aldo... They are incredible! I am getting married there in April and we went this month to check out the resort/venue. I cannot wait for my family and friends to experience what we did!

The hotel stinks like sewer and the air conditioning doesn’t work in most the hotel even are room. The food isn’t very good not consistent at all. My wife smokes and the website says they have a smoking area it out on the street outside the resort. We have stayed at other Secret resorts and they are 100 times better. There really isn’t much to do no music a lot of the time the bars don’t have any music most the time. They have shows in piano bar that holds about 25 people. We will never Go Back! The only good thing is the workers they are the best. Don’t waste your money.

Staff? 5 stars. Very kind, helpful, willing to do what it takes to make you happy. (Shout out to butlers Jessica and Mose!) The hotel looks very nice and modern. We are still questioning whether the "preferred" upgrade was worth it, but we are leaning towards yes for access to the extra pool and the very attentive staff there. But for an all-inclusive at this price point, the food needs work. It all looked pretty, but tasted very bland, even in the Mexican restaurant. Maybe they make it bland to cater to a broad clientele (or the quality of the ingredients was off that week), but we were disappointed frequently in the food. Otherwise a really good vacation!

Nice experience. 1st time visit to Cancun and this resort. Everything from service to food to room to entertainment was lovely. The staff was very nice. The only thing we didn't like was the initial attempt to 'sell' us upgrades (premium floor? Spa? Romantic beach dinner?) upon checking in after traveling - we just wanted to go unpack. But that wouldn't stop us from going back, just be aware of the sales attempt.

Very chill and friendly all inclusive. Really enjoyed my time. Vibe: Older crowd, very chill and quieter (no loud music around pool or beach like other adult only places). Friendly and attentive staff. View: Amazing view! Amenities: Rooms have everything you need, good size. Lighting could be better and perhaps hard liquor in the minibars. Bed was comfy and so was room temp. Food & Drinks: Fantastic food selection from the buffet. Just sad not all restaurants are open for lunch of late for dinners. Also, if an event of private thing going on it can close off an option without notice. Drinks were great, bartenders pour you exactly what you want, when you want!

It's a well maintained resort. Rooms are good, it's just we booked ocean facing master bedroom And got a partial ocean facing room. They have multiple restaurants and few of them are 24x7 so there's always something if you are looking for food or drinks. The location is a bit far main market. Overall, resort was really good and hotel staff was also very good. Loved our stay!! Quick feedback - it would be great to add some vegan food items to your menu list for people who may have dietary restrictions. The market bazaar barely had anything except fruits to cater to the needs of the vegan. So if you are vegan, you may have very limited choices.

Great all-inclusive resort in the hotel zone for a one time visit. Food was overall decent, but nothing was really mind-blowing in that regard. My partner and I enjoyed Olio for lunch the most and would upgrade to preferred club just for that perk. However, even at the preferred club pool, there just aren't enough beach chairs for the amount of people there. Some of the other visitors mentioned that they had gone entire days of their stay without managing to snag a chair. It's kind of crazy to pay so much money for a stay and not be able to fully utilize the pools/Beach, especially when this hotel doesn't offer quite as many activities as other all-inclusive resorts I've stayed at and the activities they do offer tend to be a little repetitive. It's also all located in one building so don't expect walks through gardens or anything like that. The hydrotherapy at the spa was amazing. Super invigorating. If you have the option to try that during your stay I highly recommend it. In my opinion, this resort is worth a one-time visit. The staff is helpful, cheerful, and attentive. The drinks are decent. The food is pretty good on average. The rooms are clean. I don't know if I'd return to Secrets the Vine, but I'm glad I went the one time.

Early this week we stayed at this resort for 3 nights and we were very underwhelmed to the point where we would never go back. The good: The view was amazing. The rooms, lobby and pools were upkeep and modern. Plenty of spaces to relax. Easy to get drinks and do activities. The bad: Every time we walked down the hallway by our rooms it smelt like someone had vomited the night before. There were a handful of times where there was a sewer smell as you exited the lobby or exited the elevator shaft. Every time we went for dinner at a sit down restaurant it was a 2+ hour affair. Overall, would not recommend.

I took out of two stars because of the room service food was disgusting. Everything was too salty. Slow service and they can never make the order right. I also don’t recommend dinner on the market cafe, the food was also terrible and service was super slow. The only thing that is edible is the breakfast buffet in market cafe. Make sure you have all the stuffs in the morning and save for your day! The room is big and great. But with this price, we deserve at least edible foods! I also hope the staffs are paid fairly since they’re all working hey hard!

Friendly people. Service was good. They keep asking you to take a 2 hr tour which you should avoid. Make sure to time your meals to the opening hours for restaurants. Room was nice and clean. Nice for couples as it is adults only. Drinks are a little watered down mostly but the manatee bar gave us real alcohol. Overall good experience for a first timer in Mexico.

Me and my husband stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and overall had a nice experience. The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view from the balcony. Although I’d say the soundproofing is not too good. Room service took some time to arrive, but overall was acceptable. The pools are clean and easily accessible with a good view of the ocean. I’d say the hot tub should be larger, and I also would’ve appreciated some better poolside entertainment. They have random events like water aerobics and poker, but nothing too exciting or engaging at least when we were there. Also no swim-up bar like most resorts have. The beach was nice and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing there, and usually could find some chairs. Service was usually good and employees were friendly. With regards to food, it wasn’t necessarily bad, but the process of getting it was. The restaurants usually had a long initial wait to be seated, and then the wait time to be served was exceptionally long for most of the nights we were there. It would take us probably 2+ hours to complete the process of waiting to sit down and then waiting for our food. This was the case even when the restaurant was seemingly empty. The longest wait time I believe was when we had a beach side dinner in one of the private cabanas, which I would’ve thought would have the best service. This issue was our main problem with the stay, and puts a damper on the evening and limits your time. The food was decent, a couple of great dishes and the rest were just okay. Buffet and poolside food was easy but average. Overall I expected better from the food. I’m not one to judge drinks, but in my opinion they were good and the bartenders were friendly. There were employees here and there taking drink orders by the pool/beach. Overall, it was a good experience for me and my husband, but I feel neutral about the idea of coming back, especially with how many options there are.

Lovely setting on the strip with twin direction-facing rooms, nice big rooms with espresso machine and free beers, although we found it odd there were no towel rail or coat hooks for the dressing gowns. Staff were great but obviously attend most to those who tipped. Had a nice fun vibe, good entertainment, good choice of restaurants (we has Mediterranean, Steak and Asian for our 3 night stay which were all good for all-inclusive albeit not the best we’ve ever had) but wine by the bottle is expensive to buy and over-priced. You cannot book the restaurants but can wait with a drink at most which was fine. We had already travelled round Yucatan but they offered excursions. We’d recommend booking an airport to hotel transfer in advance - tax was $70 for 15 minute drive. For an all-inclusive adults-only holiday, it was a solid choice so would recommend on that basis.

Secrets The Vine was more than a refreshing honeymoon. Upon arrival you’re greeted by smiling faces almost making you feel “at home”. The entire staff here is beyond polite and they’re always around if you need anything or help. The food here is amazing, always hot and always fresh. Make sure to try out the room service while you’re here because it’s available 24/7 but normally takes around an hour to receive it. Drinks around the pools are nice and cold and the best part, endless. The Spa and Pool area has the best massages you could locally find that make you extremely relaxed and calm. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to get away for a vacation or honeymoon. This resort is an adult only resort so it wouldn’t work if you plan to bring kids. I want to give a special shout out to a man named “Juan” that works in the Dragons restaurant. He treated us like family and made special reservations with a special dessert honoring our honeymoon.

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel in a honeymoon suite. The rooms are older but still well equipped with beautiful views. Our check in experience was easy, fast and everyone was very kind. The downsides are the main hotel is very warm most of the time which can make dinner or sitting at the bars uncomfortable. The food is good for an all inclusive. We did have to wait over an hour at the seaside grill for our food at lunch time which did not make sense as there was only 4 tables waiting for food. The drinks and bartenders are great though we felt there could have been more servers in the restaurants and near the pools. The bands and singers who came to the hotel were amazing and we enjoyed them a lot! The casino night was a ton of fun! We would like to commend two individuals who gave us stellar 5 star service. The first was Joel at Market Cafe at dinner. We was funny and ensured we always left full. The second was Angel. My gosh if you come here ask for him! He was so attentive to our needs, made sure my drink was refilled before I finished my last sip. He recommended great food options and even made a special dessert for us. He truly made our experience first class! I hope the Hotel Manager sees this post because even though everything wasn’t always perfect, these two made us want to come back and stay again! Pictures of us and Angel and Joel. Thank you!!

Great place for couples or groups. Food was top notch everywhere. Four pools so you can find quiet spots if you like. Beach is on a slope so not as easy to walk distances but didn't impact our experience. Live music was a bonus each evening. Neighboring hotel was a bit noisy at times but after 10 it usually wound down. Clean and well run, friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I stayed at secrets the vine for 5 days. We had a wonderful experience, the food was good the drinks were good & the staff was very friendly. We upgraded to the preferred package and our butler Melina was FANTASTIC to say the least she made the trip such a pleasurable experience for us. We had a leak in the bathroom and got upgraded to the master suite where they then sent us a complementary bottle of wine! The only downfall to the trip was room service was not good as the food quality was very low almost like it was from somewhere completely different as the rest of the food was around the resort was great

Stayed there Jan 29, 2023 and upgraded to the preferred rooms. Pros: beautiful resort with excellent staff, food, and very clean. Cons: no privacy at all on balconies (biggest con that will not make me come back again). I can see ALL the neighbors. Only 1 small alcohol bottle per room/per stay. If you want more alcohol you have to go to the private floor or bar for more alcohol. Preferred pool, only used once, was always packed with no seats left. SPA cons: Manicure looks sloppy. She kept using her own nails to clean up the excess polish and kept nicking the nail polish and smearing more. They could have used a paint brush to clean it off. Pedicure was great, but didn’t file down any of my nails. Manicure/pedicure techs needs more training and keeping consistent standards would result in better outcomes. The prices are overpriced. I should have walked right across the street and there was a spa there. At the front desk of the spa, a lady was upset that she was charged for extra scented (lavender, eucalyptus etc) oil for the massage and wanted a refund the front desk man didn’t seem to care whatsoever. I knew now that I had to decline for scented oil for my massage.

My experience at Secrets the Vine was amazing. The resort itself is beautiful, modern, and so clean. I really would like to give a shout out to housekeeping for keeping the room and resort sanitized & tidy - they did a lovely job. I also really loved that there was always so much to do! Our butler, Alan, would send us a daily schedule of activities and would also check in to see if we needed anything. The daily & nightly activities were so much fun, and you could tell how hard the entertainment team works, especially Pilar! She was great. The restaurants had good options overall - we enjoyed the steakhouse and really appreciated Ricardo’s awesome service. Overall, an incredible experience & we are very happy that we chose this resort!

We spent 8 incredible days at Secrets the Vine. We had a preferred suite with an amazing ocean view. As part of the preferred package, we were greeted with champagne at check-in and the red carpet treatment continued throughout the stay. Preferred guest have an additional private lounge, pool, restaurant (and quick spa treatment included). The hotel was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The pools were all gorgeous and the beach access is great! The staff was tremendously kind and helpful, especially Pingting and Melina, our dedicated “butlers” during the stay. They helped ensure that we took full advantage of the resort amenities and the best of Cancun. They greeted us by name every time we saw them, decorated our room for our anniversary and went above and beyond every chance they could! I would recommend this for a romantic getaway or a fun adult friends trip!

The room has such a strong smell of mold and mildew that it hurts our throats and eyes. We told our butler and a maintenance staff wiped the exterior of the AC vent with bleach (which I was skeptical about honestly), but the smell is still strong. We’re minimizing our time in the room. - EDIT: Thank you so much for the response and the service. We’d like to especially thank Gabriella, our butler who helped us with the issue. We were moved to a different room and there is a slight musty or moldy smell but so much better than the original room. We’ll enjoy our time left here thanks to the staff, but the hotel seems to do some maintenance work.

The 2 biggest cons of this hotel are the smell/lack of air conditioning on the 1st floor/Lobby which also includes the check in, sports bar, piano bar, the breakfast buffet and the lack of consistent customer service. You walk in after your flight, excited for your vacation to a musty/sewage smell, it’s not how to start off things. The customer service was pretty dreadful. Pretty much anyone you ask anything will either tell you something that is incorrect OR say “let me go check on that” and never come back. It was beyond insufferable. And this wasn’t a language barrier, they got it, they just couldn’t or wouldn’t give you a straight answer. Overall the common space and rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained which was a relief since your first impression is the pretty awful smell. The rooms were likely renovated fairly recently but not completely. A few examples, the soap pump holders at the sinks and in the shower are there but don’t have any products in them. The lamp on the night stand between the beds had an old lamp on it with one electric plug but the plug didn’t work so you have no plugs by the bedside. The overall lighting is odd. A simple switches would be so much easier than the touch pad like with small print. You never really know what is being turned on or off. Chairs at the pools and beach were your usual, you gotta get up early to reserve by putting your towel and a personal item down. I don’t know why hotels haven’t done an online reservation system? I’d even pay for it to not have to play this game. I live in NYC, I run a rat race every day. Why can’t I just know I have seat at the pool or the beach on my vacation? Drinks, you must specify which brand of alcohol you want, otherwise they will give you a well brand. They have good brands, so just make sure you tell them. Some pros: The food was pretty good considering. Sea Salt Grill had consistently the best food. The stand out was the 5-6pmish grill at The Vine Bazaar: The Vine Lounge and Terrace Bar (outdoor covered bar closest to the lobby). The marinated grilled chicken and fresh veggies were the best meal of the trip, even though the timing was odd. We would have had that food for lunch every day. Close to the airport, not a huge trip from the airport which was so appreciated after a fairly awful immigration line.

Amazing! The moment you walk in this hotel everyone here makes you feel like royalty. Such great service it really makes the whole place sparkle. I stayed under the preferred club so I can only speak to those services but from what I see everyone here is having a great experience. When I was reading reviews to stay here I had seen several about the lobby smelling and I just have to note if anyone else is reading those and were nervous about it. It is a perfume/incense/flowery smell which I think smelled great.

Secrets the Vine was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The pools were clean and esthetic with great service poolside. The food by the pool could’ve offered a little more but not a big deal. The drinks were tasteful with the fun poolside activities provided everyday. The restaurants were all around on point. Not much of an entertainment vibe in the evening compared to other resorts but nonetheless very relaxing. Only gripe was the lobby and a couple restaurants were a little warm temperate wise, but nothing that would turn you off. Overall I would definitely look to come back here.

My daughter and I went here to celebrate our birthdays. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They exceeded our expectations. The customer service was exceptional! The food at all the restaurants was delicious including room service. Rooms were spacious and beautiful. Pools were nice and refreshing. Beaches were clear and beautiful! We were there for a week and had absolutely no issues. I would definitely go there again and highly recommend this hotel. Please know that if you smoke or vape it is not allowed at any resorts and is illegal to do in public. Mexico passed a law this year prohibiting it. I did see other people go outside of the resort and smoke with no issues. It’s only to be done in the privacy of your own home. So if your a tourist just keep this in mind when visiting Mexico.

The service and hospitality far exceeded our expectations. All of the staff were so nice and helpful when it came to anything we needed, especially Marko from VIP services and Antonio from the snack bar. They went above and beyond for us and it was much appreciated. I proposed to my girlfriend and Marko made sure to get the romantic dinner booked for us and it was so perfect, as well as the lady that took our photos did an amazing job. Over all we enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. The maids were awesome and always made sure our rooms were kept up, everything all around was great. We will definitely be back. The only thing I would change is to extend the pool / jacuzzi hours as they close at 6.. it would be nice if they were open a little later

Nice location and regular hotel tbh. The costumer service by “manager” GEORGIA and ULISES is awful. Rude and disrespectful. That have no idea what’s going on with their operation. Staff are not prepare to solve problems. I have never seen more bureaucracy than here. I hope they can find better people who are able to help this hotel and provide better image and service.

Spend my honeymoon at secrets the vine for 7 days after that i transferred to live aqua not far from secrets. But such a big difference. At secrets the attention u get from employees, butlers, at bars, at restaurants is so amazing. We got an upgrade to 22nd floor preferred club. Definitely worth it. Not a big price change it was only 400$$. Pools are super clean i give 10/10 on that. All the restaurants were delicious, friendly, and respectful. Secrets the vine i would recommend to anyone for honeymoon or celebrating anniversary, birthday. Secrets will always be a memory in our life. Will be back.

Great hotel with fabulous sea and lagoon views. Exceptionally clean, very friendly and helpful staff, rooms are a good size and well furnished with good quality fittings. There are several restaurants on site with the Italian "Nebbiolo" being in my opinion the best one due not just the quality of the food but also because it has the widest menu choices. One annoying issue is that the waiter service was often hopeless and seemed completely disorganised. It did not feel as though anybody was ensuring good standards of customer service. The taste and quality of the food was extremely good but it was sometimes like being in an episode of Fawlty Towers. The house salad is delicious with walnuts and pear as is the Mushroom starter. The pizzas are very good and so is the absolutely excellent grillled Salmon. The Blue Water Grill was poor. The food presentation was appalling. I ordered grilled Chicken and I was presented with some lumps of poorly cooked chicken that looked like they simply been thrown on the plate. It had not been seasoned properly so it had very little flavour. We only ate here once due to the poor standard of cooking and appalling food presentation. The Market Cafe buffet was excellent and the food was always fresh. Great choices for breakfast where I enjoyed trying a number of fruits that were new to me. The made to order Omelettes were a delight and well worth the wait. There are several bars with each being different. The drinks were all branded and good quality with generous measures being the norm. The bar staff were all very good and always seemed happy to help with interesting drink suggestions. The poolside and beach waiter service was delivered by a team of hardworking, cheerful staff who looked after everybody very well. Secrets The Vine is a great place for an all inclusive Cancun holiday.

We stayed in a Preferred Club room with a wonderful butler (Miguel) whom went above and beyond to help us! Rooms were clean, but there was a very unpleasant smell in the main lobby/floor where you had to walk through to get anywhere (raw sewer smell masked with cleaning chemicals) they really need to take care of that. The pool staff were great, and (Juan) always made sure we had drinks. As for the food, Dragons was our favorite, Market Café had great breakfast and their Mexican cuisine was amazing at night with great service from (Angel), Bluewater Grill had one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten, Nebbiolo Ristorante had really good homemade pasta, Olio had a great lunch. Sea Salt Grill was awful with small and ugly plates and the service was very slow. We tried to use the services at the Spa… I had found a price on their app and they wouldn’t honor it with my credits, stating the price was a discount and you can’t use your credits with discounts! The spa concierge was very rude and would not listen to my concerns, would just talk over me! They lost our sale over $40 dollars. The Spa rudeness and unprofessional staff gave me a very bad experience and we will not be going bad to this resort. As a travel advisor, I would rate this experience 6 out of 10, I’ll never recommend this resort to my clients!

Beautiful location. But they had a fire place on in lobby daily. Very Hot. Rooms hot. Asian and Steak restaurant very good. At the beach you can’t enjoy. To many salesmen. To many conferences closed a pool and restaurant. No more Secrets in Cancun for me.

Secrets is a beautiful modern resort with breathtaking views and exceptional service. My husband & I stayed here for our honeymoon and this has been the best vacation we have been on! From the moment we arrived to our checkout process, everything was on point! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a cool towel, glasses of champagne and our butler, Miguel. We upgraded our rooms to the preferred cub suite and it was definitely worth the spulge. We were able to skip the lines at the front desk. Miguel escorted us to our floor and we checked in there with him. I really appreciated him asking if I had any food allergies and made sure to inform all the restaurants of it. Since it was our honeymoon, Miguel arranged for a romantic in room breakfast for us on a day of our choosing. Our butlers for our stay, Jessica and Miguel also sent up wine and decorated the room for us as a surprise ☺️ Our butlers were one of the big reasons our trip was as memorable as it was! There was a miscommunication with our spa reservation and they handled it for us so I wouldn’t have to waste time doing it. I understand it’s their job to take care of the guests, but I really felt they went the extra mile for theirs guests! Every morning and evening (during the start and ending of their shifts or during shift change), they would check in with us to see if there was anything we needed, we were always greeted as “Mr & Mrs Thompson”, and always treated us and the other guests as a top priority. Pool- preferred club gets their private pool with chairs & cabanas, and we never had any trouble getting either one of those. You could order drinks & lunch with one of the pool servers as a bonus. If you are looking to book a luxurious vacation, both my husband & I would highly recommend Secrets The Vine and be sure to ask for Miguel & Jessica as your butlers!

Beautiful hotel w great staff. Food was top notch, portions are smaller but to be expected for all-inclusive. Top to bottom the staff was great. Only gripe is the strength of the drinks from the bars but that’s probably for the better. Beaches and pools were super well kept. Still thinking about the muesli they served at breakfast weeks after my trip…

Honestly the best resort visit we have had. Amazing service, great restaurants. Staff are super friendly and you can tell the genuinely care about the guests and love their jobs! Gus the night manager is amazing! I really appreciate everything about this resort. Entertainment was great. Events they set up are fun and everyone there is in a good mood!

My wife and I had a great time at Secrets. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The weather was great and the resort had plenty of fun activities to participate in. The musicians they brought in were all great. The Red piano bar was fun every night we went and danced until it closed. Restaurants are first come first serve, so get to the Steakhouse and Dragon early, they seemed to get packed first. Antonio, in my opinion made the best drinks. The buffet by the pool was very underrated. It's definitely a more relaxing place so feel free to go to the nearby town for some fun.

My husband and I stayed at Secrets the Vine for our honeymoon in early November 2022. It was far and away the nicest hotel that we have ever stayed in, and the staff were far and away the friendliest and most helpful. We opted to upgrade our trip to the preferred club and it was totally worth every penny. Our butlers Mose and Jessica were wonderful and so helpful. The food was some of the best that we’ve ever had! If you are looking for a hotel and service that will exceed your expectations, look no further. We loved our trip and will definitely be back and will now seek other Secrets owned properties whenever we travel.

First of all the stuff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The waiters, the receptionists, and especially the entertainment team (especially Bari) are all about great service. The rooms are nice and clean but lack a little bit of smart touch - no power sockets near the bed, the light controls are not convenient. But the view from our room (honey moon ocean view 18 floor was simply amazing). The restaurants are very different with great choice if options, but many if the dishes we tried were very mediocre (but some were great) and it takes a lot of time to get the food in the restaurants. There are shows at evening which can be nice, but after 11pm there is not much to do. The pools are great and convenient, close to the beach and with great service of waiters. A little of disappointment for us was the fact that we arrived for honey moon and informed the hotel in advance, but all we got was a bottle of some sparkling wine and absolutely no room decorations, although a room near ours had its door decorated. Overall we had a great relaxing experience in the hotel.

We spent two wonderful weeks at this amazing resort. It is modern, clean, has great views, all the restaurants offered delicious meals—BlueWater Grill was our absolute favourite. We opted for preferred and were on the 21st floor. Our balcony had great views of the Caribbean Ocean and lagoon. Our butlers: Carlos, Marissa and David were outstanding. They went above and beyond to ensure our vacation was perfect. We will definitely be going back.

We spent 5 days 4 nights there. Service is supreme and staff is super helpful. Food and gym are all great. We had a VIP package, I would say it's worth the money to make the vacation a super great experience. The resort has its own gate to control people in and out come on during this pandemic. I personally feel super safe to stay. The hotel also offers free covid test on the day before you leave, that makes the trip less stressed as well.

Overall, this resort is great. The food was excellent at every restaurant we tried and the service was incredible. We booked a room in the preferred club. It was nice having our own pool area, a couple bars and a butler that was available most of the time. Our butlers, Yuri and Sandra, were awesome and kept us informed of daily activities around the resort. We spent most of our time on the beach directly in front of the resort. The sand was soft and the water was super clear. The wait staff on the beach, especially Alberto and Roberto, were great and always kept our glasses full. There are vendors walking through the beach selling their wares or offering para-sailing. Most of them were friendly, even if you told them no. We did find a couple of deals with the older vendors and were happy to spend money with them. If you are looking for a quiet, couples getaway this is the place to be. There isn't as much going on here as some other resorts in the area but they do offer some nightly activities. I would highly recommend Secrets The Vine for anyone just looking for a low-key vacation with great food and beautiful scenery.

Stayed here for a few nights and was not impressed with our stay. The service and staff were wonderful and friendly overall. However, the food was simply not good. The quality and options of food were pretty low. Luckily, we had dinner out every night which was nice. Further, the lobby was extremely hot and musty. I would expect for a 5 star resort to make the experience for guests more comfortable with a fully functioning high blasting AC and cool lobby to enjoy amenities in. There was also an odor. We struggled to find sections by the pool so I suggest you get up super early and go claim your spot. There was also a lot of seaweed in the ocean…We were around a lot of nice restaurants and shopping which was nice. Overall good experience but expected more.
