Location is great. Mall is connected to the hotel for food. There's a seven eleven across the street. They have a program where you can access a beach club but unfortunately the day we tried to access it we were told it was full. It would have been great if we were told that this was likely during check in and we would have reserved it the day before. There aren't a ton of other walkable beach club options for us in the area so it was pretty disappointing. Rooms are quite small and the balcony is tiny and with no privacy. Some ocean view rooms are largely obstructed by a parking lot which was disappointing. There is no club lounge on the property and as a platinum/titanium member you do get free continental breakfast (not the full menu). To be honest the attached mall has a lot of good options. Gym was really nice with new equipment and an excellent view. The pool also has great views of the marina.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful by the marina and very convenient attached to the mall. It's at the end of the hotel zone so away from the 'party scene'/ central areas but still very nice. We went to the mall for dinner and Starbucks (even though the room did have coffee but I didn't understand how the machine worked!). We loved the breakfast every morning - the restaurant was beautiful and sunny and food was good - some decent veg options and definitely try their croissants!

This hotel has been the best experience I’ve ever had. They were very friendly and had the best staff. They helped me navigate the Cancun area, helped me when we were ill on our trip, and had the best hotel room service I could ask for. These guys are sure to be on my next booking when I return to Cancun. -good people 11/10 (they returned my wallet I left in the taxi I took from the hotel to one of our destinations (the taxis that you take from the hotel return back to the hotel)) -vibes were 11/10: the mall is connected to the hotel so shopping/eating/exploring the lakeside was amazing. Dancing at some bars at night ;) -pool bar 10/10 - 12th floor gym/jacuzzi/sauna 11/10: breathtaking views of all of puerto Cancun mall - included breakfast buffet: 11/10 IT WAS WORTH THE $20 even if you don’t have it included.

The hotel is beautiful, the location very convenient for shopping, restaurants, and proximity to all downtown has to offer. The rooms are modern, attention to detail is what makes this hotel different. The hotel staff is professional, friendly and will go out of their way to make you happy. An amazing breakfast to start your morning is so much appreciated. You can taste Yucatecan food, and also popular Mexican treats and pastries. Sadly this hotel has 2 problems, the pool is most of the time under the hotel shadow. No sun bathing. The hotel has a shuttle that will take you to a beach club, the ride is about 6 minutes, bad road, not walkable at all. But the shuttle only leaves every 2 hours!! Terrible idea. It is already bad not being able to swim in the hotel’s pool, but you are being punished by the hotel manager by no having this shuttle available every half hour. The shuttle I took was too full. Some people had to take taxis to the beach club and pay for them. This is not acceptable. The second fault is the music coming from the restaurants and bars, next to the hotel. Forget about a peaceful night. On my first night, load music was still playing at 1:30am. I had to close my window and my desire to sleep with the window open disappeared. I truly wanted to enjoy a night looking at the beautiful yatchs and modern buildings. On the second night, again loud music. The view from the room is amazing, but I can see this beautiful place on trouble if they don’t make a deal with Puerto Cancún mall to regulate the noise of their businesses. And please realize this is a beach hotel, have your shuttle ready every half an hour to take and pick up guests, who want to enjoy sunny Cancún and to swim at a sunny pool. If the hotel fixes these 2 issues. I would be happy to go back, otherwise, is was my last time staying at this beautiful place.

The hotel is clean and beautiful. Though I was very disappointed by three things: 1. COURTESY: lobby staff. When we come in the lady at the lobby was lack all the courtesy you would expect from such a hotel. Moreover, when she provided us with a double bed and we wanted for king, she said that it was not possible to change and did not apologize. When we had to pay we had a few difference in pesos with the amount we were meant to pay by our reservation. She did not try to explain the difference and de end up paying as it took ages to check-in 2. HAD TO PAY EXTRAS: We had breakfast at the lobby. When the waiter came I asked for 2 glasses of water (we don’t like juices) and 1 expresso. When the bill arrived. I had to pay for the breakfast + the water + the expresso. Nobody told us this was not included ! What a shame. Such a bad service that did not worth its tip. 3. BROKEN STUFF: When we arrived to the room, the smoke detector was making an annoying bipping sound every 5 minutes. We had to call maintenance later at night to fix this. The room 217 has also an issue with its window as you can hear distinctly everything happening outside. Also, the coffee machine wasn’t working. I had to unplug it and the scale wasn’t working.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed ever as a tourist, the guests are extorted $50 anytime someone comes to visit you. The room was lodged by myself only and the front desk knows this, yet they kept extorting me. I bought food from the kitchen and couldn't eat it, I called for the room service to help me microwave it the next morning, they declined and asked me to throw the food away, I had to eat a day break cold chicken, what an in-human treatment. Bad customer services. The room service is good, rooms are clean, value for your money, just bad Management and Extortion towards guests. They treat you as if you are living in a School hostel, what a shame.

As a frequent traveler I was very surprised about the excellent outstanding service of some of the staff members, really run the extra mile; Nicole simply is an angel and supported me limitless, Enrique the IT man with great patience as well supported me to be able to do my work properly from the hotel. Ilse the concierge with her big heart and great service level. Again one of the best service I experienced in a while, which is special for a big property and part of a huge chain. Thank you do much.

My god, the best hotel I’ve ever been to! The gym is the best I’ve ever seen as well, the rooms are so pretty and the beds are so comfy!! The staff was super nice to us even thought I found it a bit annoying we had to pay $$$ just for a visit and they should add some chairs outside because there are not a lot to enjoy the sun….. anyways 100% recommend!

We travel to Cancun a few times a year, mostly choosing airbnbs for the space. But whenever only one room is needed, the Renaissance is where we will stay! The staff are efficient and polite. The shuttle to the beach club comes in handy when traveling with small children. The breakfast buffet is delightful! The only thing they do not have is a babysitting services… in due time ;-)

We stayed one night after a visit to Holbox to relax before our flight home. It was wonderful! We are titanium and it was a weekday so got upgraded to a beautiful one bedroom suite. It was amazing with a wrap around balcony. We chose margaritas and a delicious meat and cheese platter as a welcome amenity which they delivered to the room. Service was wonderful and it is located on the Marina with beautiful views. Went to the mall nextdoor for some shopping and a nice dinner. Great last day of vacation!

Beautiful and very, very clean. This is a breath of fresh air away from the dilapidated, cheap resorts nearby in the main hotel/resort area. Yes, this hotel is not directly on the beach, but so many of "beach resorts" are all-inclusive with mediocre or bad food and run down rooms that are perpetually dirty. This hotel has a great buffet breakfast with high quality food, and beautiful clean rooms. There were desks in the rooms so I could get work done. Everyone working at the hotel was fantastic, but I was especially impressed with Andrea, who checked me in at the front desk and helped me with a number of issues (including a late checkout). She's wonderful. The hotel is right within a nice shopping area and also had great views of the marina from a high floor. I would absolutely come back to this hotel.

Location is great, it’s among shopping, restaurant. The service was great. The rooms are nice, bed is large and comfortable. Very clean, pool is nice with the best views of the marina. 4⭐️ because it’s not in the beach, they do have a beach club which was great but require being shuttled there. Breakfast is amazing here.

This was our first time in Cancun. It was a birthday trip for my girlfriend. Gustavo greeted us on arrival that evening around 10:20pm. He was very friendly and was able to accommodate my request for a room upgrade as a Marriott Gold Member. The property was very secure and clean. We were impressed by how many stops the shuttle had to make, to get through the main entrance. There is a lot of accountability, and it doesn't appear that just anybody can get in. There was plenty of signage to remind guests to wear masks and to observe social distancing. There were two elevators with a sign that indicated a two person limit. The room was very nice, with an awesome view of the marina, a partial ocean view (to the left), and beautiful sunsets each day. I wished that there had been a microwave available, but other than that the room was great. The bathroom was very nice, with a spacious walk in shower. Gilbert, at the front desk was always very friendly and helpful. We signed up for a COVID test for our return flight, and that was a pretty streamlined process. Gilbert even printed up our results once I let him know that I received the emails from the testing center. The restaurant is very nice, and we had her birthday dinner there. Luis was our host, and he made it a very nice and memorable event. Luis was our host during lunch, and he was great. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were always very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, and both bartenders were great. It was nice having a mall next door. The front desk provided recommendations for authentic Mexican cuisine, away from other tourists. We were very happy with their recommendations. The private beach club was awesome, and we only regret not being able to spend more time there. The road to the beach club was rather bumpy, but once we arrived, it was great. Jackie took very good care of us at the beach club. Overall, this is a great location to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Hotel Zone and the Spring Break atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again!

I have traveled to over 20 countries and I always choose a Marriott! Unfortunately this is the very first time in over a decade that I have an unpleasant experience. PROS: The property is located in the Marina area which has the good restaurants. There is a brunch on Sunday’s that’s delicious. The view is great. There is a beach club but it doesn’t open on Mondays. CONS: The execution of the entire staff is sub par, is pretentious and beautiful but it simply doesn’t deliver. While people were ni and friendly, There is a major need to train the staff. For example, The Marriott Bonvoy elite counter has no one in attendance. This means even Gold Members have to wait and after waiting for 1.5 hours our room was not even ready at 3pm. We waited until 3:30pm for check-in. There was no complimentary upgrades available for Gold Members nor anything was offered for our waiting time. We requested a couple of wine glasses and it took them 2 days to deliver them to our room and about 5 phone calls.

I moved here after having a terrible experience in the hotel zone and what a beautiful experience that move was. The minute I arrived it was pure joy; lovely helpful people in the lobby and reception, a clean room, and just quality overall. Very much looking forward to reading my book all day next to the pool tomorrow! The only downside to this hotel is proximity to the beach, but they compensate for that by having a beach club shuttle, and you can always get the R1/R2 buses just a 5 minute walk on the main road towards the hotel zone. There’s a bus stop right on the roundabout.

This is a very nice Marriott affiliated Hotel with everything you could want. The rooms are very nice with good views. This is not in the hustle and bustle of the hotel zone but makes up for it with the Restaurants and attached to the Puerta Cancun plaza. The staff are exceptional and a big shout out to Edgar on the front desk who helped me out extending my stay and went out of his way to make sure everything was in order for us. Will be returning their in a couple of months. Highly recommended

Not a beach front hotel, but is just perfect in every other way. Connected to a upscale outdoor shopping mall with many food and beverage options. Has included garage parking. On the boutique side as it's a smaller hotel compared to the massive resorts. Rooms are well decorated, rainfall shower with excellent pressure. Great air conditioning. Rooms all have a balcony. Good on site restaurant and comfortable lobby/pool area. Free access to a beach club. Staff are the best in the industry. This hotel is perfect if you need a place between places i.e. want to be closer to the airport the night before your flight if you have been in Tulum or Holbox. Great hotel for those doing off site activities and not looking for the all inclusive thing.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your hotel. They compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Kaajal restaurant is one of my favorites, Sunday brunch is something you won miss ever again…!!!

    1) Added an extra $2700 charge to my room. They told me it was a mistake that would be corrected but so far charge is still there. When I asked for a receipt showing the total amount for the amount, front desk told me they would not be able to provide it. 2) Found roach on the hallway 3) Charged me $50 for laundry after telling me there would be no charge 4) The jacuzzi is not warm. If you ask for them to increase the temperature, they say they will but it stays the same 5) They are charging for luxury experience but there are a lot of flaws

Honestly I'm being generous with the 2 stars. For one, on my first day there my car was hit in the parking garage and it seemed intentional because we didn't valet. Because when I brought it to the securities attention he said , you should've valet the car. I had pictures and videos of the car that doesnt show the mark because i literally just got it from the rental place. I asked for video and no one would provide it. Red flag! The rooms were tiny and it had a smell, the fridge didn't work in the room either. Andrea at the counter was pretty rude. I was told to get access to the beach club you need to be there by 10 to receive a ticket.. I got there 9:50 & wad told it was full. After I ask for the manager she suddenly had space.. odd! She gave me the ticket and gave me the wrong directions to the property on purpose so I never got to go. Honestly I would've stayed at a hostel for the amount of trouble it took to stay here.. I felt super uneasy here and would NEVER return or recommend to anyone. Horrible hotel! Ruined my trip

nice enough and modern hotel. The water leaks out of the shower and floods the floor in the bathroom. The air conditioning in the room works really well. They don't have a microwave or a kettle or anything like that, but got a little coffee machine that makes tepid water in the room. Really low balcony, with a great view, I just wonder how many people have fallen over it.

Gorgeous hotel at the tip of the hotel zone. Rooms with Marina views have stunning views as you can see from the photos. The location is fantastic. The mall is just next door, lots of high end stores and very nice restaurants. Bit of a part vibe at night with all the yachts on the marina with music and lights. Lovely outdoor pool. Upmarket breakfast with great selection of foods. Highlight is definitely the view. The higher you can be in the Marina side the better.

Disappointing experience that could have been solved many times. We have been here before and all had been good. A day prior we booked a space for a bigger table, in person, got confirmation and even the managers personal phone. The day of the booking, our table was not contemplated. Manager said: we are sorry, we forgot. (A day prior we were there booking). What we got: a table under the Cancun sun in summer. We asked for a fan or anything for the heat, and they could care less. We ate sweating and expecting something would change. Food is good, main reason why we stayed but service cares less for the experience you have. There’s many options in Cancun, if you are in a bigger group than 4, choose another location.

Fabulous hotel! The room is very spacious and well designed. The shower is pampering. There is a great view to the marina from the pool and from the room. The hotel has BEACH CLUB that offers private beach and pool for adult only. There is a mall next to the hotel, which offers great shops and restaurants. For those with a car - there is a private parking lot

One of the best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check out late as we have a late PM flight back to Canada. So this was a big plus. Room was a breath of fresh air, one of my biggest compliment was the lighting of the room. Also, all staff were very hospitable and there for every need. Will refer families and friends to this location.

This is a really nice, secure location within the marina area. Surrounded by luxury homes and apartment buildings, the water views are picturesque (see photos). The staff was great, with lots of helpful local knowledge. The property is attached to a new mall, with plenty of restaurants. The only downside is that there isn't much for small kids.

This resort was incredible from start to finish. The front desk staff, the cleaning staff, the restaurant staff, everyone is simply amazing. We felt so well cared for and important. The food is SO good as well. I came here with my 8.5 year old son and we had a blast. 10/10. I will definitely be back. Renaissance Cancun, you stole my heart ❤️

The marina view was special! Amazing hotel: gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and bar were stunning. Amenities and rain shower also help you get through the day. The location was perfect for us. We searched for something near the sea but not in the crowded area. This hotel is perfect. Pool and all the facilities were never too crowded. People were not loud or drunk as you may find in other hotel zones. The shopping mall right beside the hotel also plays a special role. You will find fine stores and restaurants such as CAO and MonteMar. We could get to the city center and to the hotel zone with an easy cheap bus. Got all tour from the hotel. You can also get a boat tour right from the marina. Because of our honeymoon we also got a special chocolate thread one night. Really nice from them! Staff was amazing!

bell man was friendly and helpful The reception guy was pleasant, helpful, and got things done, many thanks you Luis :) When you arrive to the hotel, ask for Luis he is really the BEST! Clean rooms. Bed was comfortable and shower was great Nice hot tub and pool. Towels provided. Free WiFi There is access to the mall and it’s restaurant options, it is close to the hotel, you feel like same building Tasty continental breakfast. Amazing view to the marina side, this hotel is not resort, but more feel for business. And if you need to travel to the hotel zone Best option is to cross the street and take bus r1 or r2 cost you 12 mxn (1$) and will get the hotel zone in few minutes:) Overall had a pleasant stay and would return Recommended 👍🏼

I was so impressed by the kindness and attentiveness of each and every one of the staff members in this hotel. It truly makes a difference. My husband had a medical emergency in the restaurant and staff were immediate to jump into action and to offer help and support, I couldn’t be more grateful. Even calling our room afterwards to check in on us. The room was modern and clean with nice quality toiletries. The breakfast buffet was ample and delicious with excellent service. I had a great ice coffee by the pool which has really nice views of the port. We had a delicious, reasonably priced dinner with once again excellent service. We were able to park our car free of charge in the conveniently located car park. I would absolutely 100% recommend this hotel without hesitation.

I'm impressed. Beautiful hotel, very nice staff, we got a beautiful room clean fragrant, Thank you very much For a wonderful birthday present in the form of a delicious cake in the room. A very nice surprise. The food at the hotel is scrumptious, beautiful pool overlooking the shark tower. Great location. Close to restaurants only 1 minute away, shopping center 1 minute. And most importantly, service at a very high level.

Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable for 2 people. The food at the hotel was delicious - we ate lunch upon our check-in and breakfast the day of our departure. The breakfast buffet was very vast and delicious! The pool was a decent size - not very large but not small and had a beautiful view overlooking the marina and other hotels, the restaurants and shopping center.

I absolutely loved my stay here! I stayed here for my mum’s birthday and Edgar at reception was awesome. He gave us a complimentary room upgrade and brought up a cake for my mum which was very sweet. They also have a really good breakfast! Lots of options - full english, eggs everyday, pancakes, tacos, empanadas, tamales. Love that the breakfast lasts from 6 to 12 so you can also have it as brunch. All the staff at the restaurant are very attentive and friendly. I stayed there for a week and honestly can’t recommend it enough.

Personally I'm not a fan of Cancun but if I return I'll definitely look into another stay at this location. The 1 bedroom corner suite w/ balcony is large and roomy. The staff can be a little questionable depending on who you're dealing with. My suggestion: you'll know when you've got the wrong one...walk away return and talk to the next attend or just move to the next counter, you may get a completely different experience - literally. Location is close enough to shopping and eats to not have to walk but a few blocks to find everything you may need. Keep in mind this is Cancun so be discerning on where you spend cause value can be far and few.

High-end hotel with a very stylish interior. Rooms are clean and with everything you need. Also has a great gym with spa on the highest floor offering great views. Also has a big private beach club with sand bags/beds to chill. Great hotel for the price you get.

This hotel is excellent and in a great and fast growing location. In the time that I have been going to this hotel the change in the local area is incredible. The food is excellent, breakfast is amazing as is the service. The rooms are excellent and well appointed. The gym is also first class with a great variety of equipment.
