The hotel itself was very good, although the experience wasn't that great at all... Every time we had to leave the hotel, there was some weird man and a woman that kept filming the cars and people that stayed at the hotel. Hopefully he's gone by next time I visit, they should take serious precautions against him.

The hotel is very good, but I’ve noticed the guy taking pictures of cars as well. Disturbing. Makes you feel uncomfortable. As far as I know he is trying to run some kind of fake it till you make it lifestyle. Everything’s great, but in my opinion this should be taken care of. I’m looking forward to visiting again. I hope next time I will be able to give you the 5 stars you deserve. Stay safe! :)

The hotel was amazing and I had a great experience. The only reason I’m giving it a one star review is because I felt unsafe and safety is a major component for me. There was a man in the parking lot taking pictures of cars and people (he did it almost everyday during my stay). I’m not sure if he was homeless or trying to steal cars but I definitely felt unsafe. Please improve your security measures and limit access to hotel only to the guests.

Recently the hotel Martinez has been completely renovated with outstanding Lobby and reception I liked the old Martinez but now it look modern and elegant but unfortunately the rooms remodeled lost their closets and shelves and left the rooms without any decent place to hang the guests cloths The beach new organization it seems like belong to another independent contractor since they don’t have enough beach chairs and umbrellas!!! And that was a complete surprise for us since we had to go to another beach to swim while we are staying at the hotel Martinez I don’t know what they think when someone book his room and they accept the highest summer rates but “ No Beach” this is ridiculous

I am not usually a picky person but for a 5-star Hyatt hotel, which was over €1k per night, the experience we had was shocking. The room had mold stains in the shower (on multiple sides), the rubber of the glass wall in the shower was filthy, there were stains on the desk, etc. - see photos The staff is nice, like most people in the south of France but we found it very hard to enjoy our stay. At some point, someone who had their sports car parked in the entrance area of the hotel (which is always full of cars) revved their engine for a good 5 minutes right next to the outdoor terrace of the restaurant.

For a 5 star hotel, where you are paying a fortune a night, you’d expect good customer service. You’d expect them to actually take care of your items. Instead, I sent a top and bottom set to get dry cleaned by the hotel, and they only gave me back the top and lost the bottom. They also tried to gaslight me into thinking that I only gave them the top which is 100% untrue. The top and dress are attached and I NEVER detached them from one another. When it gets dry cleaned, the dry cleaners usually separate them to clean them and this time, they never gave back the bottom. It’s not even about the price of the dress, it’s a new dress that I was super excited to wear on my trip and they lost it. They are even pushing back about reimbursing me for it, the dress isn’t even expensive…. Don’t trust them with your items. Better yet, stay elsewhere

The hotel was very nice, staff was friendly with us, but there's something that bothered us every night. Some strange man and his wife sit outside the hotel every night, take pictures of the cars and talk to people in strange language. I even feel like they were threatening us because their tone was pretty aggressive. I'm going to ask the hotel manager to take some action because there are other people who have commented on these two, and that scares me. I'm not sure if I'm going to visit this hotel again, even though everything is excellent.

We stayed at Hotel Martinez for a week at the end of September. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming, attentive and quick. The hotel has undergone an extensive renovation and truly delivers the “wow” factor you’re looking for when visiting Cannes. One big thing: there is STILL extensive construction being done to the spa and pool (both out of service) which can be heard and seen if your room faces east. We were aware of the construction before booking and made sure to book a premium room to avoid this and have had zero issues or complaints. We booked a Junior Suite with Terrace which was beautiful. It’s technically a studio and not a one bedroom suite but the size and view of the terrace make it worth while. The entire staff (both on the beach and in hotel) were beyond friendly and accommodating. Ordered room service for a glass of wine which came in under 10 minutes. Our room was cleaned by the time we returned from breakfast, every day! Concierge is open 24/7 and is incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful. The beach club can be expensive: $70-40 for day beds (per person), this is not included in the price of the room. I would say it’s worth it - the beach is the main attraction. The pros DEFINITELY outweighed the cons for us, but TLDR things to know before booking: - No pool (as of October 2021) - No spa, just massages and facials being offered in a small room on the 2nd floor - Major construction being done to the interior of the building (facing east)

It is always a pleasure to come back at the Martinez, the best hotel in Cannes. The hotel itself it is a masterpiece, the bedrooms and suites are stunning and confortable. The beach restaurant is amazing, so it is the bar. All the staff is always eager to do their very best so you really have a perfect holiday. Was there again for my birthday celebration and had a really lovely surprise from the team. Also many thanks to Pauline from the reception, for her kindness. :)

Great location on the beach and overall a very nice hotel. The rooms were comfortable but unfortunately everything and it was white so it was a little like staying in a hospital room. Even the door knobs were white. Plenty of space and pretty comfortable beds. The housekeeping staff however had some issues. First day they walked in on me partially dressed, really. Every room service call several items we're missing from the order and would take multiple calls to get it corrected. Should be much better service for this level of hotel.

Location : Just at the beginning of everything, perfect location for a hotel in Cannes . Staff : very nice , very welcoming and helpful. Interior: nice one , very clean and fresh color. Restaurant: indoor and outdoor seating but the food was placed in different tables around the garden and you need to find it out . Room service: Very good and very clean . Valet : nice and easy, but standard. Downside: The toilet smells like drains and we notify the receiption but unfortunately the smell didn't disappear. The sink water seal was broken and doesn't drain the water and you got to open it manually . We had a joiner suite connected to another room , a large water leak spot was at the roof of our suite.

First of all, the service was very bad .. i ordered a taxi it tooks more the hour and they ignore me and they are rude and also if I order a water in room service it took more than one hour, it’s just ridiculous the water is cooked or what and secondly to take a sun bed on the beach you need to book before the day …… The room is just average, the bathroom is small and also when I just arrived and I want to take a shower the dish was broken😂😂😂😂it’s just embarrassing… my experience was bad here because of the hotel and I don’t advice anyone to come to this hotel …🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Trash

The most awful hotel I ever been. Martinez declares that they are a 5 star hotel but as for me this hotel is like 3 star in Antalya. When we arrived they told that our room is not ready and asked to wait for an hour. After our room was ready nobody helped us with our luggage and didn't provide to the room (5 star hotel). When I opened the door in the middle of the room was a big yellow spot. The manager said thats they can't do nothing because the hoel is "fully booked" and it not her problem and she very busy. The service was awful, personal boorish and this for more then 1500€ for a night. This hotel is shame of Hyatt family.

This hotel is worth the price. Gorgeous rooms. Fantastic service. In a fantastic location. I loved our stay and would absolutely stay again! We splurged for the junior suite and even though it wasn’t an ocean view room we could see the ocean and sunsets!

Complete disrespect for their customers. We rested here for a week, today we came to the beach, and we were told that there were no sunbeds, we went to the manager and asked to find sunbeds for us, to which we were told that they could not do it. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. Service is terrible. The mood is ruined. If you want to relax in comfort, pass by this hotel.

Great experience in this luxurious hotel in Cannes. A big thank you to Marion from the bar who made our family spend delicious moments during this week of vacation, professional and attentive. Thanks to her and see you next year.

Best hotel I have stayed in Cannes by far. Positioned at the far end of all the high end glamour shops away from the festival de Canne building. They have a Michelin star resturant but to be honest their other resturant Le Jardin is one of the best restaurants I have visited...I think it has the best entrees ever. The room we had was very large as we paid for it but it was very good and we were fortunate enough to have beach front views....the room was very clean and modern with ocean themes. The breakfast staff and to be honest all the staff of the hotel were exceptional. Very professional for such a large hotel. Hotel has private beach front area which is excellent with its own seaside resturant. Honestly nothing disappointed.

A wonderful experience as usual staying at the Martinez. I think it’s a really great price point - considering the excellent 24/7 concierge service. Charles Arthur was a great receptionist who helped us get checked in, he was really friendly, and professional. Thank you for a great stay, the room service was excellent, and the room was comfortable, clean and spacious.

Rental car was damaged by hotel valet. I was persuaded by concierge and guest relations not to worry about damages. Hotel insisted they would provide insurance information to me and rental car agency. After many emails requesting information they never provided information and then refused to provide general manager’s contact information. it took opening an investigation with Hyatt global consumer affairs before i was finally contacted by the hotel manager. Disappointing, unprofessional and not what is expected of 5 Star hotel. if your car is damaged by Valet service at hotel do not let them convince you they will take care of damages directly. with insurance company or rental car agency.

Historical location and hotel with excellent service and amenities. The check in was very smooth and we were upgraded to a room with a balcony so my partner could smoke. (Very accommodating and thank you) The room was spacious, the king bed was very comfortable and the feather pillows were ready for us as I requested prior check-in. The concierge and porters are very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the heated pool nor the outdoor area but had a stroll and looked amazing and it would be a great slot to relax for the summer time. The turndown service was great and the housekeeping lady kindly provided me with extra bottles of still water. We chose to have our breakfast in the room that was excellent and convenient, also because the day before we had a quick drink in the Le Sud where the morning breakfast buffet was supposed to be but the slamming door between Le Sud and the outdoor area really annoyed us so much when we had quick drinks the day before so we didn't want to have our breakfast there. Overall, excellent all around and thank you.

Lovely modern hotel located right in front of the Cannes beach. I enjoyed my stay here. Even the city rooms have a good view. Breakfast is more than perfect. The buffet has many different pastries and desserts. There are also other dining options at the hotel. The staff and service is quite professional. Rooms are big and comfortable but showers need improvement.

Most enjoyable stay during our last visit in the French Riviera. Our buddy Lionel made our day during breakfast every morning. The room had the most beautiful view of the bay. The staff was very nice and professional . A must! Will come back!!

We had a fantastic visit to Hotel Martinez! The service was fantastic! Rooms perfect! The fitness center was well equipped and spotless! The food was delicious! This hotel is a must do when in the region. We will be back for yours to come.

Great stay. Very stupid and cheap form of art in the lobby. Not much imagination to install boxes of detergent in a hotel, looks like any cheap grocery store.. Outstanding breakfast. Also very good location!

Quite an overrated hotel, but still very good. Breakfast buffet was more than perfect, the ordered eggs came after one hour. Rooms are quite small. Staff was quite good, in speciffically Navila, a manager.

A very Classic Cannes choice… Super nice big building with very nice services and beach. Despite heeling under renovation the whole atmosphere is elegant and relaxed. Rooms are nicely renovated yet ours had a side view on the trash cans of the hotel (doesn’t get more French than that!) The beachside is very well organized, and offers great food and drinks selection. Valet parking was efficient and super quick.

A lot to be desired from their reservation department, the people were nice but I could tell they had too much work and I suspect they are underpaid. Please treat your staff better so that they could treat your clients better respectively. Otherwise the rooms are nice they have a homely feel!

Real 5 star service! We had dinner on the terrace with the most polite and friendly waitresses. The delicious cocktails were as cold as they should be. I can recommend the Vesper.

Just went by to get a coffee and a snack with the family. The staff was very friendly and polite. Nice facilities for changing the baby (in case you're interested 😉). We ordered a pizza and coffee and all was very very good. Definitely recommended, if you're in Cannes as it also features one of the best spots on the beach! ⛱

Really high standard with the perfect amount of French touch. Great quality from hardware to services. Extremely professional and friendly staff. Details are paid particular attention to. Cannot recommend more.

Friendly staff and nicely designed. A bit overpriced for some services but " this is THE Martinez" in Cannes 😀

Recently renovated with fresh beach vibes. You really feel the Cannes atmosphere of the film festival. Perfect location with views of the Croisette. Breakfast is unparalleled so good. Ordered room service too, best club sandwich I’ve ever had. Unique fresh salads. The gym was being renovated so it is in a suite area but has all you need in.

Wonderful hotel! It really evokes the feeling that you expect from a Cannes hotel with that cool, elegant, 60s vibe, but totally up to date and modern. Our room was tastefully decorated and had a to-die-for view of the Mediterranean Sea, with views of the magnificent Yachts in two, separate marinas. The staff was excellent. The doormen were very welcoming and proficient, Anna was a huge help at the front desk and the wait staff were extremely professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for that glamorous, bygone era that still exists in Cannes.

This hotel is top notch. It is located right on the beach and the rooms are lavish with a giant tub and velvet curtains. The bed was super comfortable and the products are very high end (from a famous perfumery in Grasse). Nespresso coffee and fancy teas were in the room as well as downstairs. Service was excellent. Everything was the best.

This is a very nice hotel with a brand new pool and gym. The staff are great and food is really good. They also have their own beach club that you can lounge at. Make a reservation with the concierge the day before to ensure you get a spot. Fills up quick but there is a lot of spots just depending on how close to the water you’re looking to be. I’ll be back for sure.

We stayed at the Martinez for 3 nights in May 2022, what a charming iconic place! The staff at the hotel make everyone feel at home , the check in/ out desk specifically Mr. Nicholas and Ms. Amina were amazing , efficient and professional. Before checking out, just make sure to review the billing statement accurately as surprises were found where unauthorized charges were noted, but immediately reversed. The cleaning staff were not up to bar attempting to rush us in vacating the room for cleaning even before we left for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious in the charming garden setting though service was slow especially during the weekend. We booked loungers at the beach and the view and service were great. The concierge was impeccable. It Overall it was a lovely stay !

Terrible. I do not recommend. Hotel check in disastrous…. At 3:30, 30 min after guaranteed check in because “we are too busy” we were given room after waiting for 2.5 hours. After finally getting the room, the shower floor tile was majorly cracked. (See photo). We were switched to another room, and it appeared dirty with stains everywhere, and champagne/glasses from another person (see photos). No tissue in room. We were specifically told that there was no other choice and the other available room also was equally stained. Run, do not walk from this hotel. We travel a lot. It is a pretty hotel in a great location but the cleanliness/upkeep is a 2 star at best. We are very disappointed as the customer service was extremely poor. UPDATE: upping my review to 4 stars. At 7:30 pm we were called on our cell and told that they were giving us an upgraded (and clean) room due to the experience with other 2 rooms and their delayed check in. This is a major plus in my book, and leads me to believe that they do care about customer service. (That said, we should not have had gone through the experience to begin with, but mistakes do happen.) I am upping my review to a 4 star overall. The staff has been very caring, attentive and kind. We had a lovely dinner outside on the patio. The location is very good. Kudos to the hotel, and specifically Marion in Guest Relations, for recognizing the mistakes and attempting to make amends.

Do not suggesting this hotel as they don’t want to sort anything out. We came only for 2 days here. Arrived after 3pm, for guaranteed check in, room was not available, plus they said that room they will give us is for disabled people. We were not happy with that. Told me will try to find something else, 2hrs later we finally get room only after me keep asking where is the room. They gave us room 1st floor with the view to the bins with crazy vibrating noise in the room, couldn’t sleep. Asked to change room(they said they are fully booked, managed to find at least 5 rooms) we called to book restaurant, restaurant said you cannot be book on the day so we booked for next day. Next day they say, it’s fully booked. Absolute disaster. We travel a lot, we are talking about 5 star hotel where service is extra bad. I do not suggest this place!!!!!!!!! They don’t care that you stay at this hotel.

Overall experience at this hotel was really poor. Check in Experience: We had to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes to check in. There was one person at the desk to do check ins. There was no announcement why everyone was waiting for one person. Food experience: I had the worse service and food experience at their bar. After we sat down we waited 30 minutes to get someone to get our drink orders. Drinks took about 30 minutes to arrive and in the mean time we never received water or bread for the dinner we ate at the bar. We have to point at the bar tender that our drinks were sitting in the corner of the bar to be served to us. ( he did not make out drinks came from some other area) I order a ceaser salad. It literally took an hour to receive. It came without any dressing and they added chicken which i did not order and at the end they charge me the chicken i did not eat. We waited almost 45 minutes on empty bar table and bar tender was walking in and out at dining rooms and would not even serve the drinks we order. The pasta we order was very blend almost like can source with no flavor. We picked this hotel because its famous but it seems they are making their money from their name brand without giving the service to customer. The worse part of it all that they don’t seems to care about your opinion. When we mention about the bas service no one seem to care! We had much better service at curio Hilton hotels in France. Valley experience: This was the only good experience we had at this hotel. They took our luggage immediately and park our car right away. If you care about good service don’t stay at this hotel! You will be really disappointed.

For more insights, follow me on Twitter @NickSkuteris Hotel Martinez did a fantastic job from start to finish. Our check-in went great, with a nice complimentary upgrade offered by their front desk team. The hotel is well built and feels clean throughout. They used quality materials throughout, from fluted marble column wraps to white lacquered doors and trim in the guest rooms. The private pool was a great way to relax. It remained quite and was nice to take a swim in the lap pool before heading to shower for dinner. Their beach club was also managed perfectly. The view from the beach was unforgettable, and they had clean restrooms that even had convenient showers to use before leaving the beach. We used the concierge team multiple times to make dinner reservations. This was a great perk, as the Hotel Martinez is recognized by local restaurants and even helps to jump the waitlists. Can’t wait to go back.
