I
booked
this
hotel
during
the
Cannes
film
festival.
When
booking
online,
through
the
Marriott
app,
it
was
not
disclosed
that
the
rooftop
pool,
which
has
such
great
reviews
would
be
closed
to
guests
for
the
entirety
of
the
week
(my
entire
stay).
The
pool
was
not
open
to
guests
(at
a
rate
of
1500/night
it
should
have
been!)
for
even
a
few
hours
each
day.
The
security
staff
were
incredibly
rude
in
telling
us
that
we
essentially
were
not
good
enough
and
did
not
hold
special
passes
to
use
the
hotel
amenity
that
I
paid
for.
I
went
to
the
front
desk
to
question
this
absurdity
and
they
were
decidedly
unapologetic,
there
was
no
compensation
or
any
way
to
make
this
right.
That
was
just
the
start...
Some
staff
was
very
kind,
and
that
is
their
only
saving
grace
and
why
they
got
2
stars.
Much
of
the
rest
of
the
staff
was
rude
and
was
irritated
to
be
asked
for
anything.
We
had
hoped
that
we
could
at
least
enjoy
food
and
drinks
on
the
main
level
terrace
since
we
couldn't
use
the
rooftop
pool
or
terrace
restaurant,
which
was
open,
but
there's
no
service
and
they
refused
to
make
any
exceptions,
it
was
only
allowed
to
be
open
for
sitting.
We
were
so
dissatisfied
with
this
hotel,
much
of
the
staff,
and
the
absurdity
of
not
even
allowing
guests
to
use
the
full
hotel
amenities
for
even
a
set
few
hours
each
day,
for
example
open
to
all
guests
from
7:00
am
until
11:00
am,
or
after
5:00
pm
until
8:00
or
9:00
pm.
Anything
would
have
been
better
than
the
way
they
handled
the
situation.
Or
closed
for
2
or
maybe
even
3
days,
spaced
out,
but
to
be
closed
EVERY
day
for
the
entirety
of
the
festival
with
no
notice
prior
to
booking
at
such
a
high
per
night
rate.
This
was
handled
very
poorly,
disappointed
in
the
hotel
and
Marriott
altogether.
