Tried to use a suite night award and was denied but grateful they were able to upgrade us to a partial sea view instead. As a platinum member I was hoping for a full sea view but can't fault the hotel for that. This property is very busy with elite members so if a suite or full sea view is a must then I recommend you book that category since you cannot rely on getting an upgrade. The partial sea view was nice enough with a small balcony. Everything in the room worked fine and the bathroom was quite large with a nice shower. The hotel has a very nice rooftop patio which offers great views of Cannes. The pool is pretty small and unfortunately you cannot see anything when swimming but it was nice to have. As an elite member we did receive complimentary breakfast since the hotel does not have a lounge. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of delicious options and amazing staff working there. You can have omelettes, pancakes, or waffles made to order as well which was nice. We also had dinner here and it was also very good. We especially liked the "Stephanie" pizza which was one of the best we've had in France. Overall we had a great time here and all of the staff we spoke with was great. Hopefully next time we can get a sea front view.

Amazing hotel with a LOT going on. It felt like the center of Cannes honestly. Walking to everything and great beach club right across the street with great service. Lots of different people here. The service was ok, not the best. I stayed on an ocean facing balcony so it was noisy but I loved it - it was in the heart of Cannes so that can be expected. Truly enjoyed my time here and even met some great people at this hotel :) A great place for sunsets...

Nice hotel in a very nice and centric location near the coastline and shopping streets. They have a beach club just crossing the street. The staff was very professional. I attended a conference there and, as a conference venue, it is a convenient location, with enough capacity and a 2-floors auditorium to handle big groups. The conference area feels old but it seems this is the case with most buildings in Cannes. About the food, what I ate at the restaurant was very tasty with high quality ingredients.

Staying at the hotel now. The beach bed FOR THE GUEST is €100 and closing at 4PM for the private event. Pool area is completely closed for the private event TOO. It would be all understandable if staff would arrange any other places to go for guests, but we were suggested to enjoy our day staying in the reception (???) Avoid. No respect for guests

The views of this hotel really enticed us and so we decided to book it as a weekend getaway. When we checked in, the staff were welcoming and professional. The hotel was clean and easy on the eye. The room was really spacious with excellent sound-proofing. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. We had an amazing time and would stay again. Can't recommend enough!

We randomly ended up at the JW Marriott and we couldn't have made a better move! We started the evening by tasting different cocktails. Corentin suggested us what to taste and he indulged us into discovering new flavours and mixes. We also met Mustapha who was a pleasure to talk with. The evening was a blast, a lovely and welcoming environment filled with live music. We also had a tasty bite at the end.

Everything was super at this hotel. It was clean, the concierge was beyond accommodating and helpful. They set up all reservations and gave us varying options for our taste. It was my husbands birthday and our anniversary and the concierge picked up a bottle of my husband’s favorite wine and had the hotel send up desserts for each occasion. Excellent service all around! The breakfast and servers were also outstanding.

This hotel is wonderful. Great location. So clean and as soon as you enter you are hit by a beautiful fresh smell. The layout of the hotel is very nice and accessible. The rooms are very spacious, airy and comfortable. I had a great nights sleep, the bedding was lovely. It was very quiet and peaceful despite the hustle and bustle in Cannes. The food was very nice, and I loved the swimming pool on the roof. You are not far from all of the amenities and everything is within easy access. If you go when it is the film festival, there is a lot of maintenance work happening outside of the hotel (constant cleaning, painting railings etc), but this all adds to the atmosphere in relation to the lead up to this event. Staff was very polite and helpful. As a result, this creates a nice relaxing and welcoming environment. I would definitely say that this is the best hotel in Cannes, and I would love to stay again.

Disclaimer: I didn't stay here, only visited the restaurant. This is one of the most prominent hotels in Cannes and is quite busy during the various festivals. The space is BEAUTIFUL (from what I saw) the lobby is well done with very cozy chairs. The restaurant was my highlight. The setup of the space was great and I had one of the best chicken dishes ever there. (Seriously, I have dreams about that chicken 🤣🤣🤣). It is a beautiful space and I hope I do get the chance to stay here during my next visit to Cannes

I have been to Cannes various of times but this is the first time I stayed in this property. Just loved my stay here. I was here for a travel fair and the attentiveness of the hotel was mind blowing. I loves the fact of them serving the water in paper bottles. Lovely way to be responsible. If I go back to Cannes, ı will surely stay here definately.

This is such a sad hotel. We decided to stay here for a special weekend after amazing experiences at other JW Marriott hotels around the world. Sadly, this hotel is in terrible condition and nothing like other Marriott hotels. Even the budget hotels are in better shape. The hotel is literally falling apart and super dirty. The lobby looks ok, but the rooms are gross, moldy, and worn. The beds are really hard and uncomfortable. The reception staff was lovely and the views are stunning, but there is little they can do to make up for worn out and dirty facilities. We left feeling really disappointed.

Would’ve given a five star review if not for the fiasco that happened on the morning of my checkout. Big plus point to the front desk and guest relations, plus Theo from concierge who was amazing throughout our three nights stay. Property not only recognized my wife and my platinum but also gave us an amazing upgrade as it was a birthday celebration. Guest relations and front desk were also thoroughly helpful and pleased my toddler who had a great time. Breakfast spread was a little paltry for a five star but definitely still make the cut. Rooms were new, clean, and house keeping service was immaculate. Concierge (Theo) in particular was helpful in giving recommendations which were fabulous. My disappointment came on the day of checkout; my wife and I knew that it was going to be extremely challenging to hail an Uber in the morning. Hence, we confirmed and checked with concierge at least 4 times with 12 hours buffer before our intended time of travel, to which concierge gave us assurance that all will be good. However, on the day of checkout, the taxi transfer was not present (we stood and waited for 20 mins), being frustrated, I checked multiple times with the duty concierge who was not sarcastically apologetic. All he should have done was to let us know that there is a possibility that there would not be takers, to which, we would have sought alternative transportation — especially with 2 seniors, 1 toddler, and 1 pregnant. This was the most hostile concierge I have ever encountered in a five star property and led to the four star review.

As a write this review I have over 800 nights stayed at Marriott properties and the JW Cannes holds the top spot for me. Unbelievable views, A-1 location, and first class service. It is a privilege to stay here and I give my highest recommendation to anyone considering booking a stay here.

Though we blew in during the film festival, totally unplanned, was on spring vacation throughout France, the place is overwhelmed at best and cannot deal with who and what's important to what makes the chain successful. Wife's an Ambassador level client, stays all over the world, 30 weekends a year and were treated like we had walked in off the street. Priorities need an adjustment, work harder to gain our loyalty , yours was lacking this stay.....

This hotel is nicely maintained considering it's age. Staff has been pleasant throughout my stay, from check-in with Julie to check-out with Laina and Alissa. Overall a bien experience! Would come back again. Housekeeping, room service staff, etc are all kind

I miss the breakfast outside that this hotel used to offer. I understand it's probably more practicable, but the breakfast outside was something why people come to south of France....to enjoy the weather. Over all good service, comfortable rooms and nice breakfast.

This hotel is really awesome from the beautiful breakfast buffet in the morning to the very very professional staff. The location is perfect right across from the beach and the boardwalk and located in the center of many restaurants and high-end shopping. One of the best vacations I've ever had, a gift from my daughter for a mommy and me vacation. Hotel is top notch for couples, families, and single people. Love it love it love it!!!

My stay at the hotel was just excellent… all thanks to the exceptionally courteous staff… i would like to specially thank krystelle (at the restaurant downstairs) and mirna for the super delightful experience they offered to us. This hotel also has the best location. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful and refined on the inside. Quality room. Great breakfast spread. I understand why some people might opt to pay a valet given the tightness of the public parking next to the hotel. I did not appreciate the tone of the lady at reception when I disagreed about a potential charge for a Pepsi can from the fridge. It turns-out as soon as you move something in the fridge, it automatically charges the room. I did not like having to justify myself after already stating that we did not consume anything.

We had a pretty awful experience during our stay at this hotel. The rooms are decent and the location is great. The reception staff did not proactively offer a room category upgrade which I am eligible for as a platinum member (it was given when I pushed them for it during check in). The check in process was painfully slow and laborious. The breakfast has decent options but is grossly mismanaged. There were a couple of tables occupied during breakfast but the staff was never around or were busy chitchatting with each other at the bar counter (if you want a coffee refill then please walk over to them and ask for it). No water bottle or coffee pod refills during the stay. The housekeeping forgot to close the room door (security risk) after cleaning. We came back in the evening to find the room door wide open and staff didn't even think it was an issue. It took three calls before the manager called back acknowledging the gravity of the situation and offered a bottle of wine and some macaroons (with the expectation that i do not write about it in reviews). I do want to call out (Adem?) from the valet who was outstanding and the rest of the staff can probably learn customer service from him and avoid their condescending behavior.

Really horrible service, tv, horrible, room service horrible, menu none, glasses none, coffee cup, call room service, they show up 1/2 hour, had to call three times, as a global traveler, I highly recommend you never come here, BYW we’re in a $1000.00 night suite

The recent reviews are all in line with our experience. The hotel does live up to the 5 star price tag and name it carries. The check-in process is ancient, the rooms are missing basic items such as water or espresso machines, there is little care or attention given to the guests. I voiced my concerns over email before actually writing them on a review website, to which management didn’t really care. The pros are that the rooms were clean and location is on the main strip. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere, at $1000/nt there are better options, or give it a year or 2 for them to finally train their staff and fix the issues and complete construction (unless you like leaky roofs, exposed wiring and missing wall panels).

I booked this hotel during the Cannes film festival. When booking online, through the Marriott app, it was not disclosed that the rooftop pool, which has such great reviews would be closed to guests for the entirety of the week (my entire stay). The pool was not open to guests (at a rate of 1500/night it should have been!) for even a few hours each day. The security staff were incredibly rude in telling us that we essentially were not good enough and did not hold special passes to use the hotel amenity that I paid for. I went to the front desk to question this absurdity and they were decidedly unapologetic, there was no compensation or any way to make this right. That was just the start... Some staff was very kind, and that is their only saving grace and why they got 2 stars. Much of the rest of the staff was rude and was irritated to be asked for anything. We had hoped that we could at least enjoy food and drinks on the main level terrace since we couldn't use the rooftop pool or terrace restaurant, which was open, but there's no service and they refused to make any exceptions, it was only allowed to be open for sitting. We were so dissatisfied with this hotel, much of the staff, and the absurdity of not even allowing guests to use the full hotel amenities for even a set few hours each day, for example open to all guests from 7:00 am until 11:00 am, or after 5:00 pm until 8:00 or 9:00 pm. Anything would have been better than the way they handled the situation. Or closed for 2 or maybe even 3 days, spaced out, but to be closed EVERY day for the entirety of the festival with no notice prior to booking at such a high per night rate. This was handled very poorly, disappointed in the hotel and Marriott altogether.

Never again. If service looks like this the hotel will close soon. Only the Barkeeper was nice and did a good job - the bar had zero spirit.

My favourite hotel because of their concierge Karim! Not the place to be when it rains though, the rooftop was not properly done. The lobby looks nice after the renovation.

Beautiful hotel with top location just next to the beach! Good breakfast, friendly staff, clean rooms, beautiful lobby. There were just a few minuses: very high price, the pool and terrace were closed during the film festival, the beach doesn’t belong to the hotel and you have to pay another 50-80€ pp on top for sun beds of the already high per night price. There was a reconstruction in the Armani hotel opposite and it was very loud the whole day in our room.

Fantastic changes to the hotel have really brought it into the 21st century. A stunning dining room with food to match.
