Haakgat is a good little site to pullover and enjoy the view

It is a fairly deserted spot on the long pristine white sand beech and you might spot surfers or one or two fishermen taking advantage of this beautiful spot with a perfect view of Table Mountain.

Had a swim and water wasn’t too bad plus beautiful sunset. Also rad view of Table mountain in the distance.

Best beach to have all to yourself most of the time.

A great place to end a downwinder from Table View, or otherwise kite in place with a dozen+ windsurfers. As a kiter it is advantageous to get out right as the wind picks up enough for kitesurfing, before it either 1) gets too strong and/or 2) too crowded. The wind is side-off in ideal conditions, beware of the rocky coastline just upwind of the launch, if you get on a wave too early it could potentially send you into the rocks, or at least close enough to increase your heart rate.
