We stayed in several hotels during our extended vacation in southern and southwest France. I chose this hotel for our visit to Carcassonne because of one review where it was called "a hidden gem." What a find! The owners/hosts were most gracious and accommodating. Nothing special about our room - comfortable, quiet, clean, and it had everything we needed, but the hotel itself is quite special as a well maintained historic property with a beautiful and peaceful garden, spectacular view from the patio on the top floor, proximity to several interesting restaurants and proximity to all the historic sites of Carcassonne. The hotel's breakfasts were amazing with jams made by our host and food options representative of the area.

I got a nice view of the castle on the 3rd floor. Got lucky. Thank you for the nice room! I would recommend staying here. Nice city too. Very charming.

A simple, beautiful, inexpensive hotel with some of the best views of the castle in the entire city, friendly, personable staff, and comfortable accommodations.

Fantastic hosts in Jean Michel and Catherine, they couldn't be any more helpful or welcoming. Great location for local amenities and of course the castle. Parking available nearby for free which made our stay even easier. An abundance of tourists info in both leaflets and our hosts local knowledge. Breakfast was always plentiful and with a good choice. Nothing ever seemed to much trouble, the rooms were very clean and we slept well every night of our 7 day stay, we arrived as guests but left having made 2 new friends from this wonderful hotel. This is one great place with every member of staff we met pleasant, professional and welcoming. What more could you ask for ?

Clean, comfortable rooms with splendid views and all the necessary conveniences. Wonderful location in close proximity to excellent restaurants and the fortified city. Best of all, the proprietors and their staff are welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful and provide needed advice. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved it! Great location with beautiful view of the walled medieval city. Helpful staff and the breakfast in the morning was great as was the outdoor patio. Can't beat looking out your hotel window and seeing the walled city with each glance.

Excellent location for Citie, 15 min walk from SNCF station, 4 mins walk to Le Dome bustop for airport bus. Lovely friendly owners. Will revisit.

They staff were amazingly helpful and were extremely accommodating linguistically (spanish/english) and even translating from French to English. They were always joyous and smiling. Rooms were clean and it was a great experience overall.

The owners go above expectations, the hotel is excellent in facilities and location. This is a very old hotel no lift. Will recommend to family and friends.

Great little hotel run by a charming couple. Very helpful staff, great location for visiting Carcassonne, both the old town and the Cité. Do not miss the roof terrace view of the castle, especially at night. The EV charger was a real boon.

An absolute gem of a boutique hotel. The service provided went above and beyond when we found ourselves unable to get back to hotel from the hospital (due to getting head injury checked after a fall, all was good thankfully) the hotel owner came to get us even thought it was after midnight. The owners are welcoming, helpful, efficient and very friendly. The twin hotel room we stayed in was a good size with comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities lovely view of the street. The ensuite was large and the shower was great. A nice roof top area with great view of the Medieval Cite. A lovely enclosed garden area where breakfast is served. Location is excellent easy walking distance of all attractions. Lots of restaurants serving really good food on same street as hotel. Very highly recommend for a short or long stay in Carcassone.

A clean room, with coffee making facilities. TV, quiet air conditioning, pleasant view of Carcassonne city. Garage parking fine, with helpful staff. Great breakfast, probably worth the extra cost. Very convenient location for both medieval city and Bastide. Would recommend.

Super friendly staff, large tranquil courtyard garden to tank up with substantial (ie great value for money) buffet breakfast. Cheese selection particularly good. Coffee machine did a respectable espresso and also hot chocolate. We had an attic family room, not super large but great air-con and the kid's annex was black out dark for sleeping. Top floor also has small open terrace with panoramic view of the chateau. +1 for chilled water dispenser on 1st floor - used that a lot.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. The owners were lovely, and very helpful. Rooms were well appointed. We had the privileged garden room, very quiet, and very comfortable. A lovely 7 nights. Highly recommended.

Stayed with friends and we were very happy overall with the hotel. Rooms were spotless & comfortable, great to have a fresh water dispenser available for free Staff were really helpful and patient with our lack of French. Location is superb with lots of bars & restaurants close by and just a short walk to the castle. Lovely little viewing terrace showing the castle all lit up. We will be back when the weather is better so we can use the fab little walled patio garden.

Great location and super friendly and helpful owners. Nothing was too much trouble for them. An easy walk to the castle, so no need to get the car out. They have a good selection of wine to buy, in case you fancy a nightcap in your room. (We did!).

Jean Michel and Catherine are amazing hosts and went out of their way to make our small group happy. They answered every question with a smile and helpful hint and phone call...dinner bookings, directions and even a winery tour. The hotel is beautiful, clean and perfectly located to explore the medieval city. The garden and rooftop were unexpected luxuries for such a great location. Thank you JM & C.

Wonderful hotel with perfect location. Location: situated on the street leading to the beautiful Carcassonne Pont Vieux bridge in a 1 minute walk, 8 minutes walk from the fortress, 10 minutes walk from the rest of the city. Hotel: perfectly clean, wonderful rooms, some to the street, some to the inner courtyard, full of beautiful flowers. It has its own underground, locked parking which can be booked for an additional fee. It even has a small rooftop terrace with a wonderful view of the fortress. Service: so very friendly, helpful with recommendations for restaurants, always with a smile Food: Hotel offers a delicious buffet breakfast with great, fresh local breads and pastries, cold cuts, butter, homemade jams, yoghurt, milk and cheeses, cereals, tea and coffee. We highly recommend it!

The Hotel is very comfortable, what I liked the most was the shower 🙈. Near to the medieval city, you have to walk about 10 minutes.

Nice clean rooms, good view from the room terrace ad the garden was pretty. The reception area is a little antique though
