quantity price is good. We book a studio, for two had everything you need, but just a heads up, if you use the utensils, you have to clean them or pay 21€ feed they sale cleaning suplentes for 5€, they have to make there money somewhere I guess, the room price for were it is, waking distant from the castle was superb! So no complaints. Underground parking available for 9€ a night worth it in my opinion if you care about your car like i do or don’t want to look for parking, otherwise there is street parking, just limited. Were on a Grand Tour so just one night and then back on the road. ((((Aa súper important the reception is not open all the time, check there opening times, for the check in’s))))

When we arrived, the woman in the reception talked us very badly and was very unkind. In top of that, when you get to the room, it says in a paper that you need to clean every dish or glass you use, otherwise they will make you pay another 25€ extra. But they wont give you a sponge or soap to help you cleaning them. You need to pay 5€ in order to get some stuff to clean the dishes. They just want your money, and they dont even try to hide it. If you have a car and want access to the parking, theres another 10€ fee to be paid

Perfect location to visit the médiéval Cite. Parking OK. Able to walk up the old path way to the Aude gate from the river, as described in Labyrinth. The apart hôtel is comfortable and reasonable priced. Nothing spécial but ok for a short stay.

That it is: Location, and nothing more. It is its location that saves this sad excuse of a "Residence" of being a dump (although it is to be noted that the owner/manager, or whatever he is, quickly points out to you that it is a Hotel, only to deny it in his next breath saying that it is a residence). Perhaps it is that privileged location that grants this "establishment" leave to treat their customers with such shameless contempt. It closes at 20:00 and opens at 08:00. We were not made aware of it in good time and had to rough it up in the streets on our first "night" at the Residence (I was travelling with children). Not an apology, not a compensation of any kind, and most certainly not a shred of kindness or shame of any kind. Someone in another review of this same establishment stated that this lot was out only to get your money, it could not be more precise an observation. As if all the above would not be enough, the smell of the room was attrocious, the WC stop working at the first day, it was leaking at the sink, ants everywhere and not a soul to complain to (as they close at 20:00, or perhaps they have no soul). If you value your dignity, let alone your money or your comfort, stay way clear from this place. It is an utter shame that such a location is soiled by hotels/residences of such low calibre. Do not go, please do not go on any account.

Reception staff very pleasant on our arrival. We were able to get water and wine from reception to take to our rooms. Beers and soft drinks can also be purchased but only when reception is open ( until 7pm)We booked a one bedroom apartment which was huge - large lounge area with extra bed, separate toilet from shower room and small kitchenette. The room was overall clean but could have used a really thorough dust. The room and fixtures are looking a little tired round the edges but this is reflected in the price. There's free on street parking around the hotel and it is easily accessible from the motorway - no need to drive through the narrow streets around the Cite. A fabulous location for walking access to the Cite and the town. The river runs behind the hotel and has pleasant gardens, with the old footbridge providing access to the town. Good continental breakfast, which were able to take outside on the terrace. The gardens could do with some tidying-up but as still pleasant. Easy check-out. Overall, as a good value base for exploring this hotel fits the bill. We have stayed here before and would stay again if we were to return to Carcassonne.

No nonsense hotel, nice reception, easy access, SUPER close to castle. Cleaning supplies additional price, hotel is very outdated and dusty.

Right at the foot of the cite, and a 10-15 min walk to town. This is a bit tired, an 80s building they could do with a refurb - but this was a bargain. We had a duplex room; double height and very spacious with a mezzanine "box" for the bedroom, with kitchenette, dining area, sofa bed, bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet, desk, two TVs etc. Kitchenette and microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge and sink with a couple of pans, plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery etc Breakfast 8-10.30 and is all you can eat continental buffet the building forms a large courtyard terrace where you sit to eat etc. Staff were professional friendly and multilingual. Issues to be aware of: very clean, but once the sofa bed was out, we couldn't put it away - the mechanism was dodgy and one of the arms that I think should've clicked into place very loose, even before we dropped the bed. To be fair, we had booked 1 bed as had decided last minute not to go to our much anticipated trip to Marrakech due to the earthquake4 days earlier & not able to get a refund morally or legally, so we were travelling on the cheap on the same dates. No automatic room cleaning. The loo is downstairs & the bathroom up - bring hand soap to wash hands in the kitchenette or walk up the narrow stairs. Only half a loo roll supplied for the week (and many public loos had no paper, so it's best to take some and some soap or hand gel out with you).

In general terms, very good, the only thing is that you are beginning to notice the passage of time, proper cleaning, and the only thing that can be criticized is the TV, only French channels, USB hard drive or firestick is recommended, it has HDMI.

Everything was good so far but the cleaning needs to be better. Our floor in the apartment was like covered with something that we find uncomfortable to walk barefoot. Fridge was dirty. Clearly not cleane . Bathtub not very clean. Staff very friendly

A couple of hundred meters from the main entrance to the Cite .. a great location to stay, with on site parking, so that we will have an easy stroll to the best location, to see the 'feux d'artifice' displayed from the ramparts, on Bastille day, July 14th.

The rooms were kind of self catering style, cooker, fridge etc. We had a separate bedroom ( our friends weren't so lucky ) and sofa bed in the living room, which other than the kitchen chairs was all there was to sit on. Very basic, but we only wanted so.ewhere to sleep and store our baggage for one night.

Perfect location. The room was not cleaned properly. We had to wash our dishes before to use them, floors were sticky, and we still had hairs in our bathroom from previous customers…. Regardless, service was lovely, the receptionist was really nice and breakfast was a delight!

Quite nice place, comfortable, large rooms. Problem is that there is no shops or cafes in the vicinity...

From a location perspective it is beautifully located under Carcassonne castle with the castle turrets visible from some of the rooms. The castle entrance is barely 400m away along a lovely path. A nice local street with shops and restaurants is available within a few metres and a convenience shop (Tabac) is available within 100m of the residence, including fresh bread in the morning. Parking is available in the surrounding streets but it was tough to find an empty spot. Parking is available inside the residence itself at a cost of €9.50 a day in Dec 2022. Breakfast is also at €9.50 pp daily. Breakfast includes cereal, bread, cheese, pastries, yogurts, coffee and juice. Rooms are quite spartan but comfortable with one set of towels supplied for the three day stay. Pillows were very soft. No kettle or coffee making facilities or supplies available in the room by default, but a coffeemaker can be requested from reception together with other items. Reception staff is very cordial and helpful.

Great budget apart hotel. Spotlessly clean. Very very near the Cite, and castle. Location excellent. Rooms basic but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very poor. Cereals and bread and pastries. No fruit or hot food. Not worth the price. But overall would definitely stay here again.

Great location below the castle and only a short stroll to a number of restaurants. The main area of the city is again only a short walk over the river. The amenities were ample and the staff very helpful at the hotel itself.

The only issue was with check in as I did not receive information that the hotel reception was closed between 12 noon and 3 -I arrived just before 1pm so it was quite a wait. Otherwise - staff very good - helpful and dealt with enquiries well. The location (for my visit purpose) was excellent in that I wanted to visit the medieval city - but it was only 20-25 mins walk into the main centre of the town too, and a nice selection of bars/cafes nearby so very well situated

The bed was very uncomfortable, as a stone slab. Location was perfect.to walk to the village and explore.

Conveniently located. Comfortable, just remember to bring dishwashing stuff, or buy your kit at the hotel.

Very nice and a good deal for the price. The rooms feel s little deteriorated and unkept but all was ctional. We found parking easily on the street. Walking to the walled city took less than ten minutes.

Reception was closed for 3 hours after our arrival which was a regular flight from Dublin. We had no where to store our bags when we first arrived and no where on our last day as the regular 4pm flight to Dublin doesn't correspond to the reception opening hours. This was very inconvenient. The first room we were given smelt like gone off meat and we were very grateful to be moved to another room which was fine. There weren't enough towels for our stay and although we were given 2 extra the receptionist was very rude about having to give out an extra towel each for a 3 night stay. One of the receptionists was kind and helpful luckily.
