Cloughmore Surgery staff have been bullying myself and my family and behaving in a prefessional aggressive unrespectful manners. We feel absolutely terrible and worried of their behaviour whenever we make appointment. Number of issues need to be discussed and no space to mention the misdiagnosis, careless, and not dealing with our issues as equally as the others. Today, i made an appointment to discuss an issue with new baby who provided zero help and advice with absolutely rude chat who was also busy with something else while i am explaning the same issue for.more than 5 times. Last time the manager sent us a warning letter because we made complaints against these issues and her letter was basless slander rased by them which seems she also contributing to the above bullying aspects. I recently joined this doctors due to missing my appointment in my previous doctors and my previous doctors I have been with my whole life, they didn’t send my notes over to this GP, so the receptionist informed me that she will email them. Also, my university contacted my GP informing them that I need an urgent appointment with a mental health nurse, I had a call within a few days and they booked me an appointment. When suffering from suicidal thoughts, the doctor gave me an urgent appointment and informed me if I get worse, to attend the surgery myself. My previous doctors never said that to me before. Unsure of these bad reviews but the receptionists are lovely and doctors have been really understanding

I can't expand on my whole experience because honestly it's too much. There are some good doctors there, I have had good experiences which is why I stayed. But if you care about your mental health don't go here. You deserve better.

Called Monday for appointment and was told to call Wednesday after 8am. When I did, I was told I couldn't make appointment without being registered, which I was not told on Monday. I could've done that on Tuesday as I had the day off. Lady was very abrupt and I could hardly get a word in. First impression: awful! Having read other reviews, I'll be skipping this one.

I’m giving 5 Star to Dr Uhmara Khan for being so kind and helpful. Dr Uhmara prescribed medications on my first visit with her and follow up on my health weekly after months of back and forth at the GP without help. I feel better daily and I couldn’t be more happier. Dr Uhmara Khan is my saviour and favourite. Bless her🙏

I was seen very quickly and given good advice and a prescription which I was needed. The doc had a great manner and was able to provide me with advice through the medium of Welsh. Diolch!

Generally, I don't have issues with this surgery. I get in when I need to, reception is polite and helpful. What I don't appreciate is having my symptoms dismissed. After 7 days with a progressively worsening sore throat, I went in. My intuition was telling me something was wrong. All of my symptoms aligned with a bacterial throat infection, which requires antibiotics. The GP I saw took one look down my throat and assured me it was likely viral, and to just keep taking pain medication. On day 9, I called 111 to get an out-of-hours clinic appointment as my throat had swelled so much it was difficult to swallow even liquids. The GP at Cardiff Royal Infirmary quickly confirmed I did in fact have a bacterial throat infection, and immediately prescribed antibiotics. I know every GP is human and humans are prone to mistakes. But when I came in with clear symptoms indicating I was dealing with MORE than just a common viral sore throat, I'm so disappointed to have been dismissed. I should have had antibiotics by day 7, not day 10.

Honestly so rude one Chinese looking lady, i understand everyone has a job to do, the practice donot belong to your father you need to check your tone, who do you think you are.

I have just come from this surgery. Worried about my daughter chest and her lack of eating. I must say Dr Perera was extremely thorough and has given my daughter a proper check up, ordered blood test, sent us home with a machine to check for asthma and antibiotics for her chest. We are booked in for 2 weeks time for a further appointment. Couldn’t have asked for more from an appointment really.

the doctors i’ve had have been so sympathetic about my health, especially dr khan, she took her time to listen to me and took her time to make sure we get the right tests done for a diagnosis, she was so comforting and nice as well, saw i was physically nervous and she was comforting, the reception can improve with their communication and attitude sometimes but overall i’ve had a good experience with this doctors

Doctors are fine. Bit rushed but ok. Reception is horrendous. Dont know if its a bad system or they hang up on people to make the que go quicker. 40 mins, 2 times. Got to posistion 1, then bam, line dead. Not even touching phone.

With my personal experience, I am totally shocked with the 2 star reviews. I received a booking date fairly quickly after having an in depth discussion over my options. Once there I felt totally looked after. The doctor and the nurse took their time to care for me after my treatment and ensured I was fit to leave - I was not rushed and was even given buiscits to help get me back in my feet. Thanks a million

Helpful staff and lovely doctors. Takes quite a while to get through on the phone but no more than most doctors surgeries nowadays.

Excellent care consistently. Including a Dr. who pursued my blood test results to get an accurate diagnosis of leukaemia. Can’t thank them enough !!! Doctors, nurses and admin staff doing their best with not enough staff and resources to provide a proper effective service.

My elderly mother who has multiple health conditions including cancer hasnt been able to see a GP for over a year. Follow ups and blood test requests from her consultant ignored. Telephone appts booked but didnt happen. Refused to do home visit when my mother couldnt walk. Disgraceful.

The doctors there are really good but the reception lady was horrid I’m sorry. Just called because I had to cancel so last minute because of a family emergency with my dad and the lady gave me attitude and hung up on my face. Your being paid for a job you chose to do which is to help people with care they’re needed not to speak to them in a tone that makes them feel worse. None of us can control what happens to family members and I can’t prioritise myself when I’m needed somewhere. I don’t know the name of this lady but she was absolutely sick

This surgery is failing, likely a symptom of the wider NHS in Wales. I am currently coming off medication in an uncontrolled way and have no access to a GP to either get more or receive advice on severe side effects. Phoning at 8am is not sufficient to get access to appointments, as there are insufficient available to deal with demand by a large factor.

The Asian looking Receptionist is very very rude and arrogant ! I was very worried about my 4 months old son and she just hang the call up saying they are very busy! How hard your job is ! Very unhelpful and useless lady. The reputation of cloughmore is going bad because of this lady. Read most of the comments are about her ! Authorities need to something! People are already suffering and this receptionist just don’t even care you get paid to do this !

So hard to get an actual appointment I start work at half 8 in the morning or finish at 9 am so either stuck in long que and appointments are gone by time I’m through or there is not enough. Why they took Econsult off I’ll never know, such a usual tool. Most surgery’s have it at least it ease up on the waiting for appointments etc
