We've been a few times and always enjoy our time here. Yesterday we had the vegan burger sliders, halloumi and fries, which were all excellent! The pub itself is very comfortable, great location within town and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend and will go again :)

Was there for the 6 nations weekend and made this place our base. Staff were super friendly, hard working and professional. Food was good value for money, location was spot on for St David's Hall....

Food was lovely. Unable to use the app to order, but still really accommodating. We came at a lunch rush, so a bit of a wait, but completely understandable.

The Glassworks in Cardiff is an absolute gem! The ambiance is delightful, with its modern decor and cozy atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying their signature cocktailsβ€”they're exquisite! Overall, The Glassworks is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Cardiff. However the Rudolf beer is basically Worthy.

Loved it. This was our first visit to Glassworks, we've had it on our list to try and I'm glad we did. We only had a drink and a snack but we will definitely return for a meal or roast. Comfortable chairs with plenty of windows, light and bright. The bartender was friendly. I'm sad to say I can't remember his name but he had the most unusual hair. We highly recommend and we will be back

Better than the usual pub food. Staff are friendly and attentive. Value for money. Pleasant surroundings. Definitely worth a detour if you're in the vicinity. Certainly worth a visit, if for no other reason than to meet the manager, a Mediterranean Basil Fawlty.

Popped in for lunch with our kids during half term. Every table was full due to lots of shows happening around town. Despite only having two people doing the bar and running all the food everyone was served as quickly as possible and with a smile on the teams faces. The two team members made sure everyone had everything they needed and, importantly, clearly communicated that there was a little wait on food, putting everyone as ease. Super job in tough circumstances.

A nice pub stop stop in before going to the stadium or arena. Or just generally. The staff were very helpful and the food/drink was ace!

Came in before and after the wrestling and there was a nice atmosphere, didn't have to wait for long to get served and I had a lovely pint of Cali Pale. Looking forward to visiting again.

Pleasant place. Came here with a friend. It's got quite a high level clientele, from what I could see. Never been here before, thankfully allowed me in with a shirt and jeans, as it was an unplanned visit, but most of the people were in suits, for example. Food served quite quickly, too. :-)

Nice staff, lovely food and pleasant surroundings that are well lit. The only reason I gave 4 star's and not 5 is due to the fact that if you have mobility issues then you will find this place a real challenge indoors. Also the seats on the lower level are all bar stools and you need a booster seat to reach the table! Very uncomfortable. I will sit at the back in the future

Very busy when we went in at lunch time and we waited quite a while in a queue at the bar to get drinks and place food order as for most of the time only one person serving. When we did get served we were told of 30 min wait for food. We ordered anyway and actually waited around 20 minutes. When food arrived it was good and server was very nice. Like most places now could do with more staff.

Would be nice to have more cold food options, especially during summer. How about a nice Ploughman's or more choice in sandwiches

Very slow service and rather overpriced compared to others bars in the area. Wouldn't visit again rather go elsewhere.

Loved it. Met friends there for Xmas beers. Laughed the whole time i was there. Great atmosphere, great fun, friendly staff. 8 oldies having a blast, reminding ourselves we might still have it... but probably not. Definitely recommend. Did not have food so can't score.

It's A great Pub/restaurant. The food is very unique and tasty compared to other pubs/restaurants I've been to before. The service is brilliant. I definitely would recommend having food here. But It does tend to be a bit loud, that might just be because there is a football game on.

The best katsu chicken burger I've ever had. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture and I'm already looking for an excuse to go back. We went on a concert day so it was really busy but staff were all lovely and prepared for the hoards of customers. Decent wine prices so we shared a bottle. Lovely place to recommend to anyone.

We popped in early evening for a few drinks and something to eat. The two members of staff ( Wed 15th Sept) were extremely helpful and pleasant. The food was a sharing platter and fill the gap, great night out!!!

Lovely staff and nice venue, abit confusing on whether we had to go up to the bar to order as it didn't state table service or not so were left waiting, and one drink was served in a lipstick stained glass which wasn't ideal. Food was decent enough nothing special but enjoyable!

Situated in a busy side street in the city centre this a modern and spacious bar / restaurant serving excellent bar style meals and good selection of drinks The service is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful Set on two levels with plenty of seating and a stylish modern bar A great place for watching sports with several wide screen t,v.s and a large wide screen A great place for couples and groups We really recommend this place Jeff & Karen We recently revisited and we are pleased to say that the standards are still as high as ever Our meals were freshly prepared and delicious and the helpings were large and plentiful accompanied by great beer and excellent wine Glassworks remains one of our favourite places in the City

A very nice atmosphere. Very good selection of beers and ales. Food is nice too. A good selection of main course and snacks. The bar service is very good and polite. Great to sit in the window and watch the world go by.

Lovely place the staff are very friendly and the selection is great. The food is ok though when they say wings tossed in sauce gives you plain unseasoned fried wings and a side of raw peri sauce which is a little underwhelming. Over all one of the best places in Cardiff but the food could do with a bit more care.

Chicken and bacon sandwich was inedible. For the price charged i was expecting tidy chicken, bacon and a little mayo. Instead received the most disgusting amount of mayo with some chunks of chicken and spot the bacon as it was so finely cut couldnt see it and the bread was stale. People on another table left most of theirs also. Complained to the lad and he just said he'd tell the chef πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. No interest at all. Shame really as its a nice place.

Used to come here fairly often for drinks with Dad while he was working in Cardiff. We were always greeted warmly by the friendly staff and sometimes they'd know what we were going to order before we got to the bar! Have come here more recently with some friends and it was the same nice atmosphere and a good selection of beers and other drinks. Can be a good spot for a quiet drinks on some nights but then does get busier near the end of the week and weekends. Definitely one of the nicer pubs/bars in Cardiff.

  • 5/5 Lina V. 1 year ago on Google
Good place to go for some drinks with friends. Standard pub but it was really nice to see some less sweet cocktails options available, and the staff were really helpful and friendly! Thank you Adam, Oliver and Will! I've been singing your praises to anyone who will listen 😁
