Stayed here over bank Holiday weekend. Room was basic, twin beds, standard bathroom with shower only. Room looked tired and could do with a freshen up but it was clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was fantastic. Made to order and good produce. Choice of cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast, muffins, croissants, and jams. Good choice of coffees too. Would definitely stay again.

Near a very busy main road, with noise in room from 4am. Rooms are very much in need of maintenance, bathroom wall tiles close to falling off, mould round bath, carpet in room is dirty. Room heater takes ages to warm room. Beds are extremely soft but not terribly uncomfortable. Breakfast is good but meals in evening are a mixed bag, starter was nothing like picture and tasteless(creamy mushrooms), pie was really good though.

The quality of the room was poor. The upkeep of the room was poor, flickering lights, fixtures in a bad state. Toilet was leaking, towels were badly maintained. Bed seemed OK. Though the state of the room meant I limited my time. Staff were pleasant and efficient. IMHO.

Not cleanest of hotels, very basic and dated, £150 deposit required on arrival make sure your room is as when arrived or will keep that deposit. Breakfast have to book a slot, tbh not worth value burnt even though made to order. Staying on business but really would not recommend unless just needing a bed for night. Beds uncomfortable and not friendliest of staff housekeeping very rude not hospitable. Coffee and teas cups etc not in rooms have to request at reception. Rooms smelt like dirty toilet water used to clean them

This place is really run down. Could open my door with any card. Breeze coming through gaps in door and window. Carpet beetles found in my towels in the morning. Really not nice.

The room was cold and felt damp. The TV just cuts in and out and the remote was sketchy. The shower was pathetic. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely great. The staff, we only met two, were very pleasant.

Standard campanile Hotel really.. hidden away .. decent amount of parking.. rooms are just standard .. place needs better lighting because it's a little hard work finding rooms .. bed wasn't the comfiest but it's a budget hotel so wasn't expecting too much .. rooms are pretty small inside

Super cheap, and the room was good quality. Need a car if you're visiting the town center.

I GUESS I should have realised you get what you pay for, when booking hotels. Still though, this place is pretty rubbish. Plus side: It's warm, and dry. Also is got a locking door (oooh swish). There were no OBVIOUS signs of damp. The one member of staff I met was nice enough. Negative side: The room stank of damp the moment we opened the door. Literally the very moment the door was opened damp wafted out. The TV controller was broken. The towels were stained. There was no food available (because "all the kitchen staff had covid" apparently). We were handed paper cups with sachets of coffee sugar and milk, as the only way to get drinks during our stay. The reception closed early, so it was impossible to resolve issues. There was no info given relating to so called "free wifi". It's in a pretty weird place. No discount was offered when I complained. I won't be back.

The water pressure almost nothing. The electrical equipment was tagged a safe but a lot didn't work. My room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Breakfast being prepared without gloves or aprons. Mushrooms being chopped on a red board.

Not a charming place to stay. Feels like cave with glass window. No privacy coz of transparent curtains. Due to time constraints we planned quickly in budget. Room doesn't feel fresh. As many of you know it smells damp. £10-20/night is more than sufficient for this quality of maintenance. Bathrooms not all well maintained. £18 is exorbitant for basic breakfast. Room size is smaller than a one bedroom apartment. Since this is the first time in Wales gave it a shot but wouldn't be back. Never! We look for some freshness when we are away from home not the smell of a undried clothes lying in washing machine and taken out after a week. Not sure what is done with all the money we pay for stay. Basic freshener will do the job.

This hotel is a budget hotel but very good value for money. The bonus for me they accept dogs which was good. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good quality and plenty of choice. The cooked breakfast it cooked to order which means its nice and hot. The staff are very cheerful and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them

Yeah sound. Single beds are long, so long my six foot 2” body didn’t have my toes hanging out bottom of bed. ☺️

This is not a hotel, it's an absolute dump the rooms aren't cleaned properly, the springs are trying to escape from the 30 year old matress that has a matress topper that doesn't fit the bed.The shower was useless as there is no water pressure and takes 5 mins to warm up, broken extractor fan in mine and my friends room.woken up by people chatting and laughing at 5 am for the 3rd day running and i don't meen muffled sounds, you can hear people word for word.no food being served at night & no explanation as to why. No tea & coffee etc left out, you have to go and ask recepton for it along with a paper cup. Whilst the staff are friendly and only working with what they have this place is a 1 night emergency stay only.

I think this hotel is very underrated, I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here this week. Excellent wifi connection, comfortable bed, nice shower, lovely breakfast and the staff are incredibly polite and respectful. Excellent value for money.

👍👍 Great Jamaican food, we had a great time! I highly recommend the bottomless brunch, our waitress, Lucy, was very attentive and we had a great chat about nights out in Cardiff! The bar staff's cocktails were beautiful, too!
