Cardiff Bay is my secret place, when I feel stressed and overwhelmed I visit this place to take a little wake in the edge of town. Great place for family and kids.

I LOVE Cardiff Bay! I don't want to speak too highly of it as I've met people who aren't it's biggest fan. There's just something about the atmosphere that brings me here again and again. There are tons of amazing restaurants and bars each with there own unique selling point.

Nice place to visit on the water. Very fun open space with some very attractive buildings nearby. We happened to be there during a festival and it was lots of fun looking around at the stalls and food. There are lots of sculptures located around the water edge which are fun to learn about and look at.

What a Fun evening at this place. You can enjoy boat rides, different games and rides for children and adult. It's always buzzing with people and have mostly all big resturants where one can dine in. Its also good to take a pleasant walk around and is highly recommended to walk till the dam.

This is basically the Torchwood headquarters. If you're on a tour or don't have much time, Cardiff bay is accessible after hours and is a short taxi ride from the major hotels. There are good eateries there too.

Stopped here on the way to the theatre. Lovely area in the middle of the bay. On this occassion the area was filled with fair ground rides and stalls (think winter wonderland without the snow!) Rides were tokens and are a bit pricey, £4 per person on the sizzler and £5 on the mini bungees, but there were smaller rides for less.

Situated in the middle of Cardiff Bay, so a great focal point. A safe and enclosed area for children to run around or play on their scooters. Normally hosts a number of events throughout the year inside.

I loved the concept of a place dedicated to Roald Dahl, but it was a little underwhelming when I arrived. Only a small plaque dedicating the Plass to Roald Dahl.

A great highlight of Cardiff bay, a wonderful place to wander for a few hours. Restaurants abound, with many specialty places.

I went for the fair that is there in summer holidays. Well worth the visit, plenty of rides for the kids, and 1 pound per token. Most rides were between 3 and 5 tokens.

Luck me being here during a national holiday. The place was full of people, in a very welcoming and friendly environment. Kids playing around, and lovely memories I will never forget from this fantastic place.

Great to visit when there is an event on. It's very scenic and I love the ice-cream on the harbour. A lot of building work going on but I see that as a good thing, in the sense of investment going in.

The best attraction in Cardiff, it is an open area with an open market with food and a lot of games to the kids. It is like a permanent funfair, I strongly recommend the giant wheel, you can see the bay, part of the city and it's just 4 pounds! If you are hungry you can find Nandos, Wetherspoon, Tesco, Sainsbury, nice pubs around

Beautiful open area with attractions in all directions. Including Cardiff Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, the Norwegian Church (now a Gallery), The Big Wheel, Cardiff Ferry Boats, Techniquist (closed for renovation Sept/Oct 2019) and The Wetlands. Eateries and Cafes in the side streets and Mermaid Quay. Beautiful views of Cardiff Bay. Car Parking (Pay and Display) - in Mermaid Quay Car Park (behind the Quays) and in The Red Dragon Centre a but further away. The Hop on/Hop off Bus Stop (not well signed) in the Bus Stop area near the Millennium Centre. The Railway Station and The Red Dragon Centre are both in walking distance. Toilets - I didn't spot any public loos, but they are in the eateries and public buildings.

Used for parking quiet central for the cardiff bay trail and nature trail about the same price as all other car parks in the area.

Always a nice place for a walk in the sun. Added bonus of some rides for the kids this time as well as food/drink/ice cream stands etc and independent market stalls.

Token scheme on place for rides. Reasonable rides a with a variety of choice for ages 5 to 12..... Some ride prices worked out pricey at times but does make this area a child focused area and our boys enjoyed visiting
