Gorgeous well kept park, with a fab play area and splash zone for the kids. Lots of benches in the sun and shade. A cute coffee shop and a kiosk available. I didn't use the toilets but there were some. Really enjoyed wasting a couple of hours here.

Absolutely beautiful place and even though the weather was amazing, it didn't feel too busy. There are lovely quiet areas. There are also the toilets, the takeaway, and there's cafe where the old toilet block used to be. The splash area is fantastic. The kids love it.

Lovely little park to visit. Splash area in the summer, little shop and nice play park. Clean and tidy park which is well maintained all year round. Worth a visit

Brilliant park! Lovely place to bring the children. There is even a place that sells hot food, ice creams, hot and cold beverages. Lively day out when the weather is nice!

Lovely park ! Flowers are gorgeous and there are many pretty beds to relax on. But, the toilets are disgusting and unhygienic- which is shocking compared to the rest of the park which is clean!

Great in the summer if you have children. The free water park and the very good playground are more than enough to keep the young ones entertained for a few hours. There's also a fantastic cafe in the park as well as others dotted around the outskirts. There's a chippy in the park too as well as a place to get ice cream etc

Well maintained and popular public park grounds in West Cardiff. Plentiful coffee shops and eateries nearby.

Victoria Park playground has been renewed and it's great for the kids. Soft ground to save on any accidents but someone hasn't really thought it through by placing about nine boulders not rocks around the play equipment! Kids love climbing but one slip and I shudder to think of the consequences of banging little heads on these boulders! A lovely Park but they should be removed or replaced with something safer

This park in the 40 year's I've been going there. is always fun for family's.and on a hot day is just as full as Barry island. And at the shop you can get ice-cream for the dog's and your self and there's toilets with disabled access

An excellent park with great facilities. There's food and drink available, public toilets, play facilities for a variety of ages and an amazing splash park. There's lots of open space for the kids to play in too. Parking is also little difficult, but free on the street. Definitely a good place for a picnic and an afternoon out.

Great park, well maintained. Some more seats for parents would be better. ๐Ÿ‘

BLOC cafรฉ what a respite to find this small place, where I enjoyed one of the 'best' lattรฉs made by the lady who not only frothed the milk but tapped the jug twice. The motif once created allowed crema. The bouquet was pleasant, tartness & good balance and an enticing aroma with full body, especially accompaied with a croissant.

Argueably the most well known and busiest parks in Cardiff offering a large play area with swings (accessible swings to), a splash pad in the summer months which is kept clean and a well maintained grounds. Lovely place to have a walk around with nice landscaping and general greenery with coffee & cake shops just off on the main road of the park with a regularly served bus stop just outside.

Victoria Park is just 1.8 miles from the centre of Cardiff (the Castle). It is easily accessible by bus, train or car. The bus stops near to the entrance and there is plenty of parking in the streets surrounding the park. However, during the summer months the park gets very busy, so you may need to park further away or consider taking public transport. The large park has lots of facilities including a playground for children of all ages. Within the playground there is a zip wire, various climbing frames, slides and round abouts. There is also a bandstand, tennis courts, basketball courts and a beach volleyball area. In the centre of the park there is a secure free splash pool with 2 attendants. The splash pool is very popular so visiting time is limited to 25 minutes per child. Within the park there are pretty flower beds, large trees, Ethan's Dragon sculpture and lots of green space for ball games. This is an ideal location for a picnic, and there is an ice-cream kiosk, the Bloc coffee shop and Mamas Place Cafe to buy reasonably priced chips, hot drinks and snacks. Outside of the park there is the Pettigrew Bakery and lots of restaurants including Red Chill, Nook, Maasis, Nishirath kitchen, Han Sing fish and chips, the Dough Thrower, Pasta Pronto and so on. We would recommend a visit because the park is very clean, is fantastic for everyone and is a cheap day out.

Went down on a Bank Holiday Monday, it was busy but the children had fun for 6 hours there. Plenty of grass area to sit & have a picnic, however you can't see the children from all areas. Toilets weren't very clean & long queues for ice cream & chips, but that's to be expected. Pleasant area to be in & will keep going back there. It's a shame that this type of children's play area is not in any other areas of Cardiff. Parking is extremely difficult and I know people travel to come here.

Always have fond memories of this park as I lived just a stone's throw away when my children were small and now I'm here with my grandson

Victoria Park isnโ€™t the biggest of parks in Cardiff (not the smallest either) but itโ€™s lovely to visit. Itโ€™s a well maintained park with nicely planted areas, but still has plenty of green space to run around in. Love the Billy the seal statue, a bit of Cardiff history. The playground is one of the better playgrounds in Cardiff, and when the splash padโ€™s open over the summer, easily the best playground here. Thereโ€™s a coffee shop, a cafe selling ice creams (Kellyโ€™s Cornish icecream - lovely!). Also toilets close by the playground. Lots of nice places to grab food on the streets nearby too. Thereโ€™s no dedicated car park, but plenty of on-street parking. Thereโ€™s also buses that stop outside of the park.

Amazing water park for all ages. Kids love it, great park too. Hot drinks and chips or ice creams if you fancy. Very family friendly, or even to sit alone and take in the beautiful surroundings of the park with statues

Excellent park with loads to do. Came for the splash pad and was not disappointed. However, had to queue for nearly an hour for a 30 min splash. Parked on a side street as I didn't see any car parks around.

A pleasant suburban park on the western outskirts of Cardiff. It has nice beds of flowers, trees, and a large grassed area. In addition for children there is a well equipped play area, and a superb splash park. There is also a nice kiosk selling hot and cold drinks, ice-cream etc

Great place for the kids when the splash pad is open - just take your own chairs or picnic blanket and picnic treats and you are landed for the day - parking is hard when its busy

Plenty of space to sit and have picnics. Good size parks for children of all ages. Splash pad is really big, with loads of different areas for kids of different ages. Had loads of fun here. Icecreams and food are also available in the grounds. Toilet block with baby changing facilities also here. Definitely coming back here.

Great park but need to keep seagulls at bay or remove them permanently. They've made the pool area their home and the baby seagulls are constantly surrounding Mama's Place looking for scraps which is dangerous for young children trying to eat there with parents.

Lovely little park in a big city. Lots of options for coffee around if you fancy one. Toilets are available but not always open. Can get quite busy but lots of benches around to sit on, rest and watch the world go by.

Family and dog friendly. Tennis courts, football court and 3 beach volleyball courts. Children's play area with equipment and a coffee hit at one end with ice cream bar in the middle (presume open in summer).

Took dog for walk around the park nice bit of exercise for him as the park has lots of space. The kids play area look good as lots for them to do and in the summer they have a rather large splash pad for them

Pleasant urban park. The park is a level surface with plenty of paved paths and pleasant flower beds. There's also a kids' splash park for pre-teens. The park has toilet facilities and is also fenced off from roads ( although there are wide open entrance gates at various points.). The park also has two cafes and there are several other cafes and restaurants across the road from it. Good for dog walking - most other dog walkers are responsible, with sociable mutts. Ive been visiting the park since i was a child - many many years ago :-)

Good water park for kids and adults and the park is a great idea for picnic. Kids had a great time there and its free. Ice cream are pricey when you have to buy for a family. But overall a great picnic in the park and good wet area for very hot weathers.

Great fun for children but absolutely heaving, easy to lose children. Toilets were wet & slippery & out of paper quickly. Queue for drinks or ice cream ridiculous over half hour wait in boiling sunshine. Hard to find enough shade. Need a separate area for smaller children with a splash pool

The childhood park of my dreams. Billy the Seal lived here, and the water play area still reigns. A lovely day out for fams, nans, and fans of all thing parklife. I like the tennis courts. The oldest Victorian promenade park in Britain, I believe. And a super duper park space all round.
