St David's Cathedral is situated in the city centre of Cardiff so is very convenient for people shopping who just want to pop in to light a candle and say a prayer. There is Mass every lunchtime during the week so if you work in the city you can attend during your lunch break especially on Holy days! On Sundays during term time the choir sing at the 11.00 am Mass and they are wonderful to listen to. The younger members are from St John's College which is the choir school to the Cathedral.

The Cathedral (originally built in 1887 by Pugin & Pugin Architects) was destroyed in World War II when an incendiary bomb penetrated the roof. It was rebuilt and restored in the 1950s. It reopened in 1959. The restoration work was carried out by Bates, Son & Price. The Cathedral has a choir school and the famous Boys Choir, established in 1959.

Welcoming, friendly place. Now a coffee shop over the road at the Cornerstone. Outgoing Dean of the Cathedral, Canon Peter Colins, is always a pleasure to talk to, I'm sure Fr. Daniel Stanton will be the same when he is the priest in charge. A jewel in the archdiocese of Cardiff's crown.

Fantastic Catholic Church in the heart of Cardiff, friendly clergy and a good atmosphere. Mass is usually every day and the Cathedral offers a quiet place of prayer and reflection away from the noise of the city.

A very beautiful church I must say, however, the catholics clearly do not follow the Word of God. During the service, the preacher actually asked for intercession from the Apostles. This is not Scriptural because the Bible clearly teaches that the only mediator/intercessor between man and God [the Father] is Jesus Christ. Please see the following scriptures for verification [Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Timothy 2:5]. Also, in the book of Matthew, Jesus says the following: “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” [Matthew 23:9]. I mention this because you will notice that the catholic preachers give themselves the title “father,” which the Lord Jesus said not to do. The Bible also teaches that we are all meant to be “one” in Christ and that we were all baptised into “one” faith [Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:5], and yet I was refused communion, due to not being baptised as a “catholic,” even though I have been baptised in another church in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost/Spirit, as Jesus commanded [Matthew 28:19]. The Catholic Church really has their own religion, which is not true Christianity, and it really is a dangerous denomination - if it can be called that. To the people who belong to the Catholic Church, I would like to reiterate the words of God to you to: “come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” [2 Corinthians 6:17-18]

Beautiful Catholic Cathedral, very quiet and peaceful. Lots of beautiful statues with information about them which is informative for any non Catholics who may visit. I was able to say the rosery while there.

I was attending the funeral of a friend at the Cathedral and was reminded that even in these Covid-19 times this church provides a prayerful and peaceful presence in the City Centre. A pleasure to visit.

Gorgeous church. Just please don't park on Saturday on any yellow line area where there is unloading happening. You can take the risk on Sunday but not on Saturday. Beautiful and peaceful ceremony at 10 am, but painful to visit soon after a notice of a parking fee penalty left.

Opening hours were not available online and did not pick up the phone so ended up having to gate crash a service, quite a modern looking Cathedral compared to all the others I have visited in Wales.
