The Proclamation Palace is also located in the Proclamation Square, in the heart of Cartagena's historic center, just a few meters from the Cathedral. The structure was renovated to prevent its collapse, preserving its aesthetics. It is currently a modern cultural center for the development of art and culture in the department of Bolívar. The square is extensive and has a statue of Pope John Paul II at its beginning.

Cannot be visited but place of entry into the historic center after the Clock Tower. On site, sale of sweets, exhibitions, concerts. In short, it’s bustling with activity.

There are several dance groups that come here at night and you can just plop yourself down and watch. Plenty of drink options available. 🤣
