Great value. If you are a traveller who has visitors then this place has new rules about guests which has many limitations which is changing as to something more flexible. Clean rooms, hot water (sometimes), not a great volume of water Rooms are ordinary but clean and a small safe Decent breakfast

The location is great and ita very atmospheric inside. However I was placed in a room facing the street directly across from a Hip Hop club so all I could hear was thumping bass and people yelling all night. After hours of travel all I wanted was a good night's sleep. Why this room is even an option is ridiculous.

This hotel was great, in a great location of Cartagena, don’t have to walk far to get to places. There’s lots of restaurants nearby which is handy. The staff were very helpful on the front desk and all their English was great. The pool is small but still lovely to have one in the hotel. The rooms were nice, had a en-suite and the bed was comfortable, we had no window in our room so felt a little dark but we didn’t mind too much. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, served buffet style and you have things like fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, rice, beans, pancakes and fresh juice. Can’t fault this hotel and would stay again if in Cartagena.

This hotel sucks, for the price. Pay a little more and stay at a better hotel nearby. I’m surprised with all the hotels in the area that this hotel doesn’t maintain their rooms. Save yourself the headache and don’t stay here. Below is a list of all the issues: Dead Cockroach in the bathroom. Wifi doesn’t work when it rains. Bathroom fixtures were broken. Shower head poured water with no pressure. Noisy until 4am: ppl screaming, cars honking, loud bass music. Room smelled like a flooded basement and mold. TV did not work.

The location of the hotel is ideal. The rooms were nice, we had 2 rooms for 5 people and they were a good size. The hotel is pretty. Breakfast included which was very good. One thing which you must be careful of is during checkout time. They added 15% for insurance (no idea what that was about) and gratuities. We tipped at breakfast and maid service directly. When we questioned it we were told it was optional and it was removed from the bill. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

If you're looking for a hotel with a friendly atmosphere and an excellent location within the city walls, this option might be suitable for you. However, it's important to note that the rooms tend to be dimly lit, and if you happen to get a room facing the road, it can be noisy. Nevertheless, if you prioritize a good cost benefit ratio, this hotel could be a suitable choice.

Wow, just wow. The most incredible hotel, and such a great unbeatable price! Feels very luxury, some incredible service, and the views are just remarkable. Stayed 3 nights and could've stayed 3 more, can't imagine staying anywhere else. If you're looking for a central, clean, walkable, easy to find hotel, this one is it!

Stayed Last week of July 2022. Centrally located in the walled city with a rustic feel, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable front desk staff who spoke English fluently and a good breakfast including delicious freshly squeezed tropical juices. Other positives were a reasonably comfortable bed/pillows/good shower, good air-conditioning, a working stocked fridge with reasonably priced basics like water, beer, juice and a decent "tropical-vibe" pool, complimentary good coffee in the lobby. Some negatives/room for improvement: Shower stall doesn't have a door so water spills out. Apparently all the rooms are like this - so very unexpected. Also the room we had was somewhat dingy and insufficient natural lighting and in-room lighting. TV remote was not working. Management should try and address these to improve the room "score".

Powerful a/c, clean well-furnished room with private shower, super friendly staff, decent breakfast (on rooftop!), amazing pool w/ greenery and old world ambiance! Great location, good value, and just lovely overall! The street-facing room with balcony was amazing for people-watching, but we weren't quite prepared for the street noise (it's a party until 3 am!) -- next time we'll bring ear plugs for sleeping.

This is a great hotel with a great location. Theres a rooftop terrace to catch grat views of the city. Youre right in the middle of all the action so everything is in walking distance. You get a free breakfast, the rooms are nice, the staff is great and ATM's are right around the corner.

A terrible experience. Since arrival at 11am, I was told I wouldn’t be given my room until 4pm (way past a regular check in time). Three other parties arrived later than I did and were checked in. I know because I travelled with them. The service was aloof and no one knew what they were doing. I asked for a bathroom to change since I wouldn’t be able to check in and had a wedding lunch and they were hesitant to help me with one. They had no ironing services, but were nice enough to charge me $10 for ironing a pant and shirt (honestly given I wouldn’t be able to iron it myself I was OK with this). The room smelled like fresh paint thinner and smoke. The towels and pillows had such a strong cigarette smell. The windows had curtains poorly place and left the room and bathroom exposed to anytime passing outside 24/7 and had no fix. The shower was under a structure from the building and you the showerhead was on my face. I’m not tall (5,7). The fridge was broken and kept melting. I called twice and never came in. I kept on falling and slipping, and my room had towels on the floor in the entire state. They didn’t even know where I could get something to eat or grab a coffee nearby. The area around the hotel is ugly. There seem to be random people coming in and out of the property at all times. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location, the staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice rooftop terrace for sunning during the day or watching the sunset in the evening. I was there shortly after Colombia lifted its quarantine and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. Great prices, too. There's a good restaurant around the corner, San Valentín, that serves very good food that's typical of the coastal region of Colombia.

Great location and value, rooms are a tad small and dated but functional! We reserved a double/twin room and received a twin/twin but we made it work! Shower was nice and warm with high pressure but when you’re 6’3” it’s difficult with the very low shower head haha see pic 😂 elevator sometimes didn’t work but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

THE GOOD: The location is great. Right in the heart of the wall city. The staff are very helpful. There is a free breakfast. There is a nice rooftop. You can enjoy your evenings. There is a club right next door. So if you go to the rooftop you can party / dance from the hotel since it’s literally next door. If you have issues with noise, this may be an issue if you’re on the very top floor as noise may sleep through to your room. I personally loved it. THE BAD: Unfortunately the rooms and hit and miss. They are all different. I had to change rooms three times due to various issues. The last time the bathroom was SO tiny, your knees hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. But I didn’t want to deal with the other issues in the previous rooms (bugs, smell). Overall, the staff really did try to make it work. But they can’t change the infrastructure of the actual rooms.

My and my mum have stayed here twice now and the staff is always great. They are all super friendly and happy to help out the tourists staying at the hotel. They are also fluent in English and very approachable. Staff members Anthony, Cira, Claudia and another lady whose name I can't recall are the best! (Although everyone is great lol) Rooms are quiet, they have a nice pool and they helped us out heaps even after we checked out and let us take a shower after we came back from the beach just before we had to go to the airport

Very small rooms, and hotel, somewhat claustrophobia inducing. Very noisy at night. Wi-Fi does not work well. Staff and breakfast was good.

Good location but very bad rooms and feeling. Everything is not ventilated right, the rooms feels always wet. There’s no window on open air, they face the inside where there’s a small poll where people laugh and scream until late. There’s much better option. Wish we know sooner.

very beautiful hotel ! staff is kind and hotel has 5 floors with one elevator and a nice little pool room had a mini fridge but anything you take from it they do charge you for it so be aware ! Also for the GENTLEMAN if you are trying to bring a “guest” here it is allowed :)! but it will cost you $100,000 pesos $20 USD and they have to sign in & have ID

Nice hotel with the bricks wall, great breakfast and views from the roof top. Location is great inside the wall. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants.

Very nice old style hotel, great pool surrounded by plants, breakfast in 5th floor with a view of the city and terrace on the 6th floor. Rooms are not biggest and are quite dark, but our room was satisfactory for us. The staff is super helpful (thank you Antony a million times for sending my postcards!) and speaks perfectly English. The location is great, in the old town, it's close (short walk distance) from all main attractions. The area is noisy at night.

:) Location was great, central in old city, walkable to everything we wanted to see, close to the city wall if you want to get a taxi to get to the airport, fort, boat tours, etc. A/C in the room was powerful. Rooftop breakfast was a pretty location - the food was ok, not great (some cereal, basic fruit, scrambled or fried to order eggs, bread, juice, that type of thing), coffee was pretty bad. :( Sound isolation from hallway to room was non-existent, gaps around the door, so it was pretty disruptive for sleep if people came and went, or hung out in common areas late at night we could hear every word. The quality of the amenities was lacking. The bed was uncomfortable - mattress and pillows both thin. The towels were also thin. The shower water pressure wasn't great and drain wasn't working very well, similarly for the sink (which also was letting bad sewage smells up the pipe sometimes). We didn't use the pool - but I think it attraced mosquitos, so we got a few bites in our room which was on the ground floor near the pool.

I was disappointed with the room, which had a black mold growth on the wall due to poor ventilation and was directly above the main street (which is loud at night). I asked the staff for a room change, but was informed it wasn't possible. My experience was great otherwise, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Very disappointed. We had a reservation and the credit card details were not quite right and our reservation was cancelled the day before. It has been suggested they overbook and then cancel people and we certainty tried to phone them but did nit answer phone. I have to be honest snd say that AirBnB is probably a better and mote secure option in this popular city

Great location! Beds were comfortable! Staff was very friendly! Great breakfast spot on the rooftop. Had a fair amount of options! The pool doesn’t get a lot of sunlight so did not spend any time there.

Great experience in the hotel Don Pedro the Heredia. Staff was really polite and friendly. Location of the hotel is really good, you can find several restaurants and enjoy the historical center of Cartagena.

Great location in the old city which gives you access to shops, restaurants, and is close to one of the entry/ exit gates. The inside of the hotel with the pool is really great, there is a terrace rooftop that is essentially unused with a nice view. However, our room was street facing which meant hearing and feeling the bar music, car alarms, honking taxis, screaming people all night, and we were too far to get wifi in that room. Perhaps the other rooms are better but earplugs are a necessity!

The hotel is beautiful. They offered a good breakfast and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had good air conditioning and Wi-Fi. I do think the rooms could be a bit cleaner.

For 10 days under Covid conditions, with Anibal the manager, Andreina his assistant and the chief Chef, Filomena (excellent breakfasts) and the rest of the staff, our stay was outstanding. Being in the hospitality business for many years, I can say that all things considered, from accommodations to personal services, it was 55555 star.

Location is perfect. Nice old hotel. Great breakfast and very good location. Towels as to be change, this is not good hotels towels. Hot water problems, if the others rooms use hot water maybe you will not get hotwater. The room was located at a noisy area. If you are lucky maybe you will rest. Ask for a room far away from the street. I do not recommend this hotel.

Nice boutique hotel. Rooms were relatively small, but included a nice bathroom, toiletries, hairdryer, working TV, fridge. Hotel was nicely decorated in an old building with outdoor pool in the middle. Breakfast was good, on the 5th floor with a city view (in the buffet there is no vegetarian option; you can order juices and meals without meat). I didn't like the couch that was outside right under our window (room with interior view), where there's always someone sitting and making noise (even during the night). We couldn't open the window nor the curtains (in case we wanted privacy).

With got a room with a bathroom leak. The internet is not stable we got internet half of the time and when we returned in the afternoon at 2:30 they didn’t clean the room… and all of this at the reasonable price of 300,000.
