Worst ever Hotel experience!!! The hotel is next door to a club. The music was so loud and obnoxious. The wall and windows of the hotel barely block any sound. So my room is shaking at night. Don't even think about going to sleep. Maybe some rooms not next to the club are more bearable. But don't expect the staff to ask for your preference when you check in - they don't care. Other evidence of the careless behavior of the staff: when I checked in, pillow cases were left on bed and pillows are naked sitting on a shelf, and no shampoo in the bathroom.

One of the best hot spots in Cartagena. You shouldn't miss it! From there you can visit Muelle de Los Pegasos, Portal de Los Duces, and Plaza de La Aduana. Definitely recommend visiting this wonderful town.

Nice place, 2nd visit here and this time round there weren't as many people as 2 years ago, maybe due to the rain lately. But nonetheless, that did not stop the people from coming to this place. Loved the colonial buildings around the walled city and the bright colors. Lots of things to look at and buy. You can find a lot of restaurants and bars here. Foods are great 👍 no problem in finding them.

During the Christmas holiday in the early evening is when many families are out enjoying a night out. Later in the night the working girl arrive and it’s a very different atmosphere.

It is the best place to start in the Walled City. We met our guide Alonso Lopez there to start our private walking tour of the area for $20 each. On Saturday evening there were dancers in front that were incredible. There are the "palenques" ladies with the fruit basket in traditional dress you can pay to take pics with. We were told 10 - 20 mil is appropriate because they don't give you an outright price.

This place is pure magic…. You can walk it in the daytime and you’ll get to see lots of small shops selling artisan hand made stuff… watching the sunset is a must for this place… the whole scene is breathtaking and you will experience the best sunset in Cartagena…nighttime the whole place turns into a hangout where you can bar hop between all the bars and rooftops around the place… Uber accesible so you will have a ride … prices are very affordable on drinks and hookah…there is a spot for every music preference! This was the it place in Cartagena

Probably my favorite place inside the walled city of Cartagena. There are many beautiful shops, bars and restaurants around this area. But what really takes the price it's the very talented performers dancing to classic Colombian salsa and other genres.

In colonial times this was the only entrance to the city, it enters directly into the main plaza where and when in colonial times slaves were sold, now is very different and this entrance is where you will find guided tours around the colonial Cartagena , prepare to be amazed by the history, architectures, colors, flavors of delicious candies, fruits and drinks, and much more, from time to time people will approach you to sell something to you , but they are jot as intense as in the past , enjoy

A popular place to visit while in Cartegena, there are a lot of crows at night, no matter the day of the week. The clock is beautiful, and inside are a few local shops. Fortunately, at night, the lights illuminating the tower are amusing.

This is really something to see... what they call the wall in Cartagena. now that i googled it i know....History of the Walls of Cartagena It was built at the end of the XVI century for the defense of the city. Its construction began on September 8 of 1614, after the attack of the legendary Sir Francis Drake and by order of King Philip III. The Italian architect, Carlos de Roda Antonelli, was responsible for the first stage of construction, which took 15 years, during which 15 bastions were built with the clear influence of Italian style. Later, in 1608, Cristóbal de Roda was commissioned to fortify the vast majority of the city that faces the open sea.

Cartagena is truly one of the most beautiful places on the Colombian map! Stunning. Old architecture, smiling faces, and the sweet scent of local food being cooked in the square permeates the air. There is a hustle and bustle of street markets, fine dining and so many small businesses that dot the rambling cobbled streets that you will be split for choice. CCTV and police presence provide that additional sense of security to preserve the feeling that tourists are safe and regarded. It's probably more of a visual promise to suggest that improper behavior is neither tolerated nor ignored. Despite all the warnings to be mindful of yourself and your goods, all we ever witnessed was an eagerness for the locals to sell their wares (famous candies, empanadas, and pastries) at this stunning historical location.

Nice yellow building. When lost, I always looked for this clock tower to find the main plaza. The plaza is full of action at night. Only drawback were the many ladies of the night roaming around for work. But, still a super fun place. I enjoyed it so much that I've been back to visit many times. Highly recommend.

We spent two nights at this hotel, it's a historic building, so the room was old and not soundproofed. There's a happening bar lounge on the roof, and because of the hotel located in the centre of lots of nightlife, the music was blaring until the early hours of the morning. If you were drunk, you probably would be able to sleep. Otherwise, earplugs might help. There was a firework show in the middle of the night on our last night, it was wonderful to watch it from the balcony.

What an amazing place! Ive been many places but the vibes on a weekend nite in cartagena inside the old city is like no other. The vibes are of the charts. Cartagena is pretty with many tours to islands or inland to get another side of Colombia. I stayed on calle 26 inside the second wall. It was much cheaper and just a short walk. Cool street to walk all around. Great fresh juice stands, coffee and pastries all over. Great dinning inside the clock tower area too.

Pretty cool clock tower with some interesting history behind it. During the day the plaza is mostly dead, not sure if it’s due to covid. But it’s plastered with vendors trying to sell you something. During the night the plaza and clock tower comes alive with music, food vendors, restaurants, dancing and tons of people. Pretty lively place.

Cool place to hang out and party. Just be aware of your surroundings. There is a great pizza place right next to Candela bar. Stop in, buy a slice, and say hello. One of the guys that works there is a big Philadelphia Eagles fan. Had a great time watching my Eagles and Phillies play at the Clock Pub, partied at the Clock Pub and also partied at Candela all within the wall of the Clock tower. If you love Salsa you gotta check out Havana! Havana is within walking distance from the clock.

I was there on the weekend and a couple of days of the week. The weekends are the busiest. This is the entrance to the walled city. There are a lot of locals selling trinkets, art, travel packages, themselves. When you think someone is being helpful they are usually looking for a tip. Other than that, the city is beautiful. This area is located across from a marina where you can embark on a party boat or catch other forms of transportation. The are some nice rooftop bars, boutiques and restaurants in the walled city in the area. I definitely plan on going back. I love the city vibe.
