Good place to eat. The food presentation was beautiful.

Touristy joint with about 3 other patio restaurants next and across. Singers and musicians come around and perform which is nice but do have some change on hand for them. Vegan option of chickpeas with tomato sauce and vegetables. If vegetarian, eggs and rice. Portions were not as big as in other restaurants I've tried in town. Felt misled from all the high reviews.

Tolles Ambiente und manchmal mit Live-Musik. Essen sehr lecker und sehr nettes Personal. Hier brummt der Bär vor allem ab 18.00 Uhr.

A wonderful restaurant managed by wonderful people. There are many restaurant around Dona so be careful to be on the right place. Reservation is absolutely needed. We ordered octopus salad, Shredded lamp, grilled chicken. Salad was very tasty, perfect combination of avocado and octopus. Shredded lamp is also their speciality so it is a must try. Grilled chicken was not our favorite though. Atmosphere is very cosy. We loved this place.

Great restaurant and perfect menu. Prices are good for the food. We tried cuban food and it was delicious. It is the best in that street, probably one of the best in Havana. We tried other restaurants in that street. They are not even close to this one as well.

Lovely people here as everywhere really in Cuba. I needed to check in for my flight and the host was so kind to provide internet access through his own phone. We had the cubed and grilled pork with rice and beans. Tasty, fresh food. I could not get enough of the beans, I love black beans and am now ruined to them prepared any other way.

The best HOMEMADE ropa vieja and lobster you'll get in old town Havana. Also the house special mojito is VERY good!

We had our last dinner on Cuba here and were not disappointed. It's not in the absolute top of what we ate but directly following. The staff was competent and friendly, explaining the menu to us. We went for croquettes and the Ropa Vieja which were both good. Prices are a bit higher than other places around but considering this is Havana and the quality of the food it all was good (and there are lots of restaurants in town charging more for inferior quality!). The place is also nicely decorated and very clean.

This was our favorite meal in Havana. The service, the bean soup, fish and Ron Collins were AMAZING. I compared every place other place we ate to this one and this one won overall every time!

The atmosphere in Cuba is lively and musical, with people singing and dancing by the tables the service was reasonably fast and the food was better then what we were getting in our hotel.

Everything was phenomenal my two faves, well 3 was the Lamb with rice and beans, the octopus salad, and the green lemonade since I don't drink alcohol.

Very nice restaurant in city center of Habana. You can order chicken or pork steak with rice. As specialist they offer lobster. I recommend this place.

The restaurant is very close to many others and nothing special in terms of location. You are provided with a menu and then you discover the majority of the dishes are not available. Quality of food: nothing special and/or unforgettable. There are better places where to eat.

I came to the restaurant in the late afternoon (following a few hours on the beach) due to a recommendation in my travel guide. As mentioned by others, it's the last restaurant in a dead end street. Since it was around 4.30pm, there weren't many guests and I chose to sit outside. The service was quick and friendly. Since I was very hungry, I ordered 'ropa vieja' with beef (meal of the day) and a salad. To drink, I had a 'special mojito' and to piña colada. The portions were good and everything was very tasty. The bill at 4200 CUP/29 EUR was OK. After all, it's Old Havana. If I wasn't leaving Havana tomorrow, I'd come back!

Nice place with good service, tasty food and cocktails (try Canchanchara, Cubanita…) ! Croquettes were perfect, although normally I’m not a fan of this dish. Oh and you get rice and black beans with every main, which is very nice. Although the prices are a little too high for what you get (better to pay in CUP), I think I would return here. Also it is the only good restaurant in this alley (Plaza de la Catedral, Old Havana), others seem to be tourist traps…

I had a good time here. The shrimp is the hidden menu so you need to ask for it. It costs 12 CUC. With a drink & 10% service fee. The beans are great.

  • 4/5 Dawn C. 4 years ago on Google
Yes, the frozen mojito. Can I just stop there? ☺️ This place is super charming, clustered way in the back of the plaza with neighboring restaurants and a cool art studio at the peak. The staff was very helpful and kind. FYI, with the exception of one nasty person, I feel like everyone in Cuba was very kind helpful and nice. Anywho, the food was good. Not great mains but the rice and black beans were delicious. Again, didn’t come to Cuba for the food. I came for the culture and I had my fair share. And if you want culture this place is in the perfect location to tour the city and take in all the sights and sounds of Havana. I was actually very picturesque. Highly recommended. #BYOS (bring your own seat)🙂

Although it was busy when we arrived, they managed to find a table for us in no time. If you can’t find a table straight away, book it for another time, it’s worth it. Had the tuna in avocado as starter, shrimps in red sauce for main and the coconut ice cream is a must. The food was so good we had to book for next day as well.

I always try to go when I come to Havana. Trip advisor says one of the best restaurants in the country. I agree. I recommend a blended mojito - maybe a few 😉. Great spot, last there in May 2022 - still good.

Finally some tasty food! Nice location in the Plaza De la Catedral. The ropa vieja and the arroz con frijoles were the best ever had in Cuba. Very attentive service tho not too pressuring , and the bill was fair.

This was the first restaurant we ate at in Havana and was also our choice for our last meal - excellent food, great value and if you’re lucky you can sit outside. You do have to fight your way past all the other restaurants to get here but well worth it!

Great ropa vieja and minced meat with raisins and olives. We went twice in a week. Very friendly service. Well priced. Their house special mojito was excellent!

  • 1/5 Denim P. 1 year ago on Google
Waiter robbed us and also the people that ate at the table next to us. They ask you to pay you bill into a cigar box then they walk away take some of the money out and come back and say you did not put enough money into the box. I understand that the economic situation for Cubans is very difficult but we would have been happy to pay a bit more for the meal so the staff could get paid better rather than robbing us. Food and drink was good and big portions.

We enjoyed our dinner here. It was on the expensive side for Cuba but good quality food and excellent service. I had some problems calling for a reservation but made one using whatsapp which worked out fine.

  • 2/5 Ayman S. 1 year ago on Google
Food was ok but nothing to brag about. Langoustine was tough due to being overcooked and not seasoned, but the sides were decent. Definitely not worth the price that we paid and they even charged us for connecting to the wifi which was not advertised as so... It is a tourist spot and there are many better close by. Would not recommend.

I just returned from my first visit to Cuba and enjoyed a lunch at Doña Eutimia. It was exactly the experience I was looking for - an authentic Cuban meal in a homey, relaxed venue. Our service was friendly and fast. The food was on point – the black beans and pork chunks were just amazing. And the flan? It was out of this world! Forget the diet and head over to Doña Eutimia for a great Havana experience.

  • 5/5 Diana P. 1 year ago on Google
We spend 10 days in Cuba and we came to Doña Eutimia twice. The place is that good. Food is authentic, well made and full of flavours. Ropa vieja is a must try, probably the best we had during our trip. Prices are slighter higher than other places in Havana, but the quality is there and I found it them to be super appropriate to what they offer. Service is friendly as everywhere else in Cuba and the outside sitting area makes dining here a lovely experience.

Food was very good, once we got past the communication barrier. Two of us ordered lamb and they brought beef! Nontheless, we fared well! Food was tasty, well seasoned, drinks were yummy, service well for a large group, and we also celebrated a birthday!

This is one of the best restaurants we tried in Cuba! I had the cordero (lamb)-so delicious! A big serving that left me feeling very satisfied. We also had the malanga frita with honey for an appetizer. Highly recommend. An intimate atmosphere with great service and fair prices!

The food is really good. I have tried their famous ropa vieja which came with rice, vegetables and a drink included. I did like the live music and the ambiance. Please just be careful since they might scam you. They tried to scam me with 2000 pesos more.

(Translated by Google) Half a tourist trap: ok food and slightly above average prices for the city. Unfortunately at the time of the account they tried to charge us 10 Cuc (about 10 Eur) more for the service on an account of 24 Cuc., Plus an additional 10% for taxes. Final account: 39 Cuc, almost double what is written on the menu. 10 Eur on a 24 account seems to me far too much of a "mandatory" tip.

I was actually expecting something a bit better taking into consideration its recommendation in many travel guides. The food was good, tasty but not different than any other places a bit further from that super touristic area, where it actually costs almost the half as here. One of the best places to eat in Havanna. I particularly enjoyed MJ double chocolate dessert, but the mains were good too. Make sure you book in advance to avoid the tourist traps on the way in. Book as soon as you reach the city to make sure you get a table. Food is reasonably priced, and perfectly acceptable service.
