A must see in Habana. One of the best architectural samples of the Cuban Heritage. The sunlight turn the colour of the stone and the finishings in a super realistic image. You will be back in time in the age of conquisitadores. Authentic experience, do not miss this spot!

(Translated by Google) Havana is a beautiful and amazing city. The buildings here are well built in a beautiful way. Many beautiful old buildings, the narrow streets of Old Havana (La Habana Vieja) resemble and are even more beautiful than the capitals of some cities in Latin America and Europe. You feel like you're in the 16th or 17th century. On the streets you feel like you are in the Soviet Union. Because here you can find many Zhiguli, Moskvich, Volga and other Soviet car products. (Original) Gavana juda go‘zal va hayratlanarli shahardir. Bu erda binolar yaxshi chiroyli usulda qurilgan . Ko'plab go'zal eski binolar, Eski Gavananing tor ko'chalari (La Habana Vieja) Lotin Amerika va Evropaning ba'zi shaharlari poytaxtlariga o'xshaydi va hatto ulardanda go‘zalroqdir. Bu erda o‘zingizni 16-17 asrlarga tushib qolgandek his qilasiz. Ko‘chalarda huddi Sovet Ittifoqiga tushub qolgandek bo‘lasiz. Chunki bu erda ko‘plab Жигули, Москвич, Волга va boshqa Sovet avtomobil mahsulotlari uchratish mumkin.

One of the most beautiful, crowded and old squares in Cuba where you can visit the Cathedral church of San Cristobal. There are many locals there who try to sell you cigars...

(Translated by Google) The Plaza de La Catedral is an amazing place, it is located in front of the imposing Cathedral of San Cristóbal de La Habana, around it you can see very old colloquial infrastructures with many places where you can enjoy the melodies and the taste of music Cuban, places where you can get food, delicious mojitos or other cocktails. Very close to this square is located the Bodeguita del Medio, one of the most recognized and visited places in Old Havana, which became popular for its irresistible and so famous Habanero mojitos. This place is ideal for family plans, with friends, with children, as a couple and even to go alone. 🤗

Beautiful plaza. The main cathedral is gorgeous as well although it's not open to tourists, at least not during my visit. A couple of museums nearby and restaurants as well. A bit pricey just to keep in mind since you'll be paying in CUC as a tourist.

Nice place. A lot of sellers, offers, beggars - all of them insistant, unpleasant. All of them are destroying piece of history which is breathing from all the square. I would love to enjoy this place again and again if security and comfort established there for foreigners.

Beautiful plaza with the church as the center piece. There are restaurants and bars around the plaza. The church is definitely a center piece. Just beware of the many people that may approach you to exchange money, and trying to get you to their restaurant.

A beautiful square. We were there around October 2019. On the square itself are 2 restaurants with free wifi, however, around the corner you can find a place called the Pirate bar, which is the best place to be for cheap and super tasty Cuban breakfast and lunch. Very friendly and good English speaking employees. If I will ever find myself back in Havana, I would definitely go there again. Also, there's a souvenir shop in one of the little roads next to the square, where you can find whatever you need. If he doesn't sell what you want, he knows who does. Worth checking for younger tourists for sure.

This is a must see in Havana city,Cuba. One of the oldest places with the most history in Cuba. The surrounding areas are very beautiful as well and very clean. It has been a while since my last visit and can see that the state has done a lot of work keeping up the Old Havana alive.

BEWARE Scams everywhere... Watch for the bicycle taxis. Ours told us 10 pesos for our 1km ride. When we got off, he said it was 10 USD per person per km! Came to $80 after he took us on an extended ride we didn't ask for. Then he showed us an "official" Bull S*** card that said this pricing. There are no such things as official bicitaxis according to our local host.

A must-see on a walking tour of Old Havana. My only regret was not being able to see inside the cathedral, in spite of being on the square several different times over different days. There is no doubt that this structure was built with love and imagination.

In the alley that comes off one of the corners there are excellent palates, some of which (I can't remember the name, but it's the last one on the left hand side, towards the back) offer free Wi-Fi. (Translated by Google) Plaza de la Catedral (Cathedral Square) is the most uniform of the 4 main colonial squares in Habana Vieja. This square is an authentic Cuban Baroque museum, since all the buildings located, including the Cathedral, are from the 18th century. Empedrado and San Ignacio streets join this square. Some of the most prominent buildings in this square, in addition to the Cathedral of San Cristóbal de Habana, are: Palacio de los Marqueses de Aguas Claras (Palace of the Marquis of Águas Claras); Palacio del Conde de Lombillo (Palace of the Count of Lombillo); Palacio del Marqués de Arcos; Palace of the Counts of Casa Bayona, where the Colonial Art Museum is currently located; and the Wifredo Lam Center, a small museum and gallery dedicated to Wifredo Lam, one of the most recognized modern Cuban artists. On Callejón del Chorro [Beco da Fonte (literally, Beco do Jato)], which starts in the same square, there is the Taller de Arte Experimental de Gráfica (Workshop of Experimental Graphic Art), where Cuban artists produce etchings, lithographs and screen prints. The works are generally of excellent quality, being a brilliant example of Cuban plastic art, and can be purchased at reasonable prices. Note that this is the most recent of the 4 main squares in the city and that the current design dates from the 1700s. At the end of the 16th century this place was a swampy area, which is why it is now also known as “La Ciénaga” - The Swamp. The Zanja Real (Havana aqueduct) was an open channel that supplied water to the city but due to the constructions around the area, the area dried up and the square was later built. Very close to the square is the famous Bodeguita del Medio, the most famous tavern-restaurant in Cuba. In fact, Ernest Hemingway himself who visited her frequently mentioned in one of his phrases: “My daiquiri in Floridita and my mojito in La Bodeguita” - "My daiquiri in Floridita and my mojito in La Bodeguita". Note that the restaurant is one of the best in terms of Creole cuisine. There is a tradition that the personalities that pass through there leave a mark, a memory, be it a photo, an object or a graffiti. Several historical signatures can be found such as: Salvador Allende, Pablo Neruda, Ernest Hemingway, among many others.
