Skip to content FREEDOM TO SHARE INFORMATION TO THE RIGHT AUDIENCE Information is Knowledge | Knowledge is Power!! Gaisano Country Mall, Banilad, Cebu I am a retired senior citizen, visiting the Philippines on a freelance writing trip. Upon arriving in Cebu, I visited the Gaisano Country Mall in Banilad, Cebu and was amazed with the true Filipino spirit of friendliness from the staff and the wide range of products available. They even cater to senior citizens, pregnant mothers, and physically challenged customers. This is what I found extremely helpful since I visited the country mall often and had to take a taxi back home. Gaisano Country Mall went to extra trouble to provide seating for seniors and those needing to sit and wait for a taxi away from the sun and the rain. A very special thanks to the Management of Gaisano Country Mall, including Ms. Che from the Marketing Department who very kindly listened to my suggestions and put into action all the facilities to make it convenient for senior citizens and the physically challenged. Now, coming back to the actual services in the Gaisano Country Mall, you can purchase almost everything under one roof. I mean you can purchase beautiful clothing, footwear, luggage, shopping bags, wearing apparel, appliances, tableware, crockery, cutlery, toys, luggage, etc. etc. I mean literally you can purchase any product for the home. Now if you visit the grocery department you are tempted with the wide varieties or fresh and frozen items, poultry, meats, vegetables, fruits, bathroom necessities, wide variety of cakes and bread and almost everything that a family needs to run the household. Not to forget the spirits section! You get a wide variety of local and imported spirits including the local wines, brandy, whiskey, etc. I had to buy cases of Novellino wine since it has low alcohol content, and the taste makes you finish the bottle in one sitting. Within the country mall, but just outside the grocery store are a spread of various vendors offering shoe repairs, key duplicating, money transfer, pharmacy, travel agent, phone suppliers, bakery, food court, bag storage, etc. etc. When you are about to leave the mall, you are tempted to visit a host of restaurants, appliance store, home repair products, pharmacy, etc. etc. One thing is for sure, you will not be disappointed to visit the Gaisano Country Mall in Banilad, Cebu, since the mall caters to all ages, all (financial) pockets, all nationalities, and all tastes. And they have even thought of catering to senior citizens, pregnant mothers and physically challenged. I give a 5 star ***** rating to Gaisano Country Mall. When you visit Cebu, you must visit Gaisano Country Mall located at: Oh to be in Gaisano Country Mall Is a delight and a benefit to all The choices for clothing, appliances and all merchandise Far exceeds your expectations with regard to quality and price The staff are kind, knowledgeable, polite, and ever smiling Makes you buy more items irrespective of the pricing The grocery store is full of a variety of fresh quality brands That tempts the wallet to purchase for your family and friends Of course, the liquor department offers you wines and spirits You just have to go there and don’t care for how many visits God bless the Gaisano brothers for the wonderful businesses they own They are truly successful for the kindness and compassion alone.

Strange department store in that it openly sells inferior fake tops from major brands like Adidas and Tommy Hilfiger. At the same time there appear to be genuine clothing from brands like Puma and Lee. Lots of stock to choose from, including some nice items and good prices.

Not bad! Kinda grungy. Very affordable. The food court is well kept and there are many options. A place for the people!

This is a store where you can buy cheap/less expensive quality products as compared to its competitors. I bought a leather type sandal a year ago and still using it until now. I think it's a locally made sandal (marikina) and as a customer there's a feeling of satisfaction, thus I can say that it's a quality product.

Not as good as the larger malls in Cebu but may have items that can't be found elsewhere

The last time I was here was during COVID. Now, the place looks even better with the newly renovated food court. The mall is good. However, the place is too prone to heavy traffic sometimes. There is Jollibee, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Food courts, Department store, Salon and etc, inside. You can enjoy spending time sitting on the bench there on the second floor. The view is great👌 A lot of foreigners visit here also. They even cater to senior citizens, pregnant mothers, and physically challenged customers. This is what I found extremely helpful since I visited the country mall often and had to take a taxi back home. I like this place cuz its wide and has everything. But sadly I don't like the food exactly at JUAN SILOG in FOOD COURT I don't know if its only me or somehow they where not able to check the fish. The bangus looks good outside but inside was red and taste weird like its been stuck in refrigerator for how many days and luckily I did not have stomach ache due to I did not finish my meal. I hope this would be fix cuz its gonna be sad like other stalks there sells good food. Thank you

The place is okay although the overall mall is not airconditioned. We went there with my father and mother for our National ID. As far as I have observed, there are a lot of establishments that are close. Some of their escalators are not working. The aircon is workable but the outside is an open air.

Country Mall is probably one of the oldest malls here in Cebu, and it shows. However it’s not necessarily a bad thing as it has cheap or affordable stores. I recommend going here if you are on a budget as well as just taking a look as it is kind of an artifact in of itself.

Food choices in their foodcourt are affordable. Place is air conditioned. And other than having a supermarket inside and a department store, there are various restaurants outside the building that varies from asian to western food.

Textile department "supervisor" or whatever you call the old woman. I had the worst experience in my life today. My mom, aunt, husband and I decided to buy 1 red dress for a Valentine's "wear-red-charity-event" for seniors at our club/organization. I was the one who paid for it at the textile department, I had the 1,000php bill and everything was done properly and I was given a change and the red dress worth 150pesos was packed. It went smoothly with the cashier, until this so called "head" of that lower textile department decided to call the ladies department because according to her the price of the dress is too good to be true, it's for blouses prices only and not dresses. She took from my hands and I said sure, go, call ahead, we've asked for it upstairs twice and everyone had the same answer anyway. until she left her counter and weezled her way up the ladies department just to check, apparently the phone call wasn't enough for her, she came back minutes later and told us that she was right and the dress was 299pesos! she looked really happy, like she accomplished something. We were already very tired since we were up early in the morning doing other appointments and we usually sleep around 3am because of work and business. My aunt, a very sickly senior citizen who just undergone surgery and my mom, who's also a senior citizen with bone deficiency was very confused about everything she blabbed. All of us went upstairs the ladies dept to have a full understanding of the situation, as she insisted for us to do, once we approached the incharge of the ladies department, they said it's marked down, and that old lady from textile purposely took off the 150pesos marked down price, I SAW IT MYSELF . Why would she do that? She thought I stuck another price tag onto the dress. I was very insulted, it was very demeaning, we didn't even get the chance to take a bath this day because of how busy we are and we were wearing barely home clothes. We deserved a little peace and fun time buying that dress for someone who needs it but she was just so mean, rude, conceited, and out of context. Like we're the ones who sinned in The eyes of God because of what she did. totally unprofessional. One younger sales girl stuck by her side all the way, I guess that's what some of them does, they stick together, she was very rude as well i guess she was from the ladies department because she stayed upstairs all the time we were there. That old woman then approached us and said "okay, I'll give this to you for 150php madam for this to end". my mom and aunt just lost it. Voices were raised for sure, I even raised my voice, but she was just laughing saying "WELL SERI"!!! that was her apology. we went out the store after that. while in the vehicle, my mom's blood pressure raised like crazy, she can barely breathe.. Just because of a single piece of dress, just because of 200 pesos. Pls reprimand this issue and may it never happen to someone ever again. If no one acts to my complain I have no choice but to forward this to my inlaws and my uncle. Florentina Mae Zeiler nolan..

Very outdated mall, but what's good about outdated shopping areas is that the prices tend to be lower. Not sure that I would come here regularly, but in a pinch they got what you need at a good price.

One of the oldest malls in Cebu, it is still one of the busiest in The Banad-Talamban area. The buildings color is tired and could use some improvements.

The mall isn't as good as the fancy malls in the city but it isn't as chaotic. There are kids who ask you for change outside but they're not allowed inside (watch out, they spit when you don't give them change.) The parking is spacious but it's pricey; and it's outdoors so when it's hot out, your car's hot in. Very little space for motorcycle parking.

Reminds me of the Trocadero London, Big shopping mall pretty much buy anything you want here. Groceries, hardware, they have food court and parking.

Some products on the grocery aren't available to scan at the cashier, probably because it hasn't been registered on the counter or in the system. I'm quite disappointed since we never had all those products that we bought. One time, we went to their bakeshop, and it was an awful experience! We had selected a specific cake, and the staff took out the wrong one, which makes us pay a lot higher than the desired one. They gave us pen and paper to put in our dedication to the cake, and it turns out that they got it wrong! It was supposed to be our anniversary cake but they put in birthday! They didn't let us check the cake before putting it in a box. We're really disappointed with the service they gave. We gave them clear instructions but then failed to follow them. Horrendous!

Gaisano Country Mall is considered one of the cheaper malls in Cebu. You can find everything here. This is really accessible and has a huge parking space that no need no worry. Visit their Foodcourt surrounded by different foods of your choice.

It's very near where we are staying. They have a fairly large supermarket, a food court with some good selections and the department store is multi-level and have a huge section of products. The parking in front is spacious. They even house our favorite fm radio station in the universe - Y101.

One of the nearest mall to my location. One of the know malls in Cebu City where you can shop all you want. A lot of variety of foods and vegetables is easy to find at the ground floor. Freshly cut meat and chicken. Condiments, dairy products, canned goods, bottled drinks, groceries, beauty products, imported chocolates and wines are all in there. Talking about outfits, it is located at the second floor, new hight trends jeans, shorts. Summer wear, kids wear and formal wears are in place. Sport equipments and school supplies and souvenir items is easy to find. Delicious food are also served all around the place. This place is a pet friendly, kids are safe and has a wide parking area and it is very accessible in all types of public vehicles. So go visit Gaisano Country Mall now.

There's something for me at the metro at very affordable price. You can get fresh goods from the store and durable items

  • 3/5 Njay C. 10 months ago on Google
Affordable and has a wide variety of items in the grocery. Although, too expensive parking fee of 30 php for a parking lot that is not secure, exposed to the elements and has no improvements.

This particular store seems to be real big on the best prices out there. If you are wanting a good selection and very competitive prices this is the place to go. 5-Stars all the way.

Cheap products, has several food stalls, contains one of my favourite restaurants which is Ribhouse, and several other stores

  • 1/5 Gideon M. 1 year ago on Google
The grocery is upgraded and fairly complete. Unfortunately like in a true Chinese fashion, it has more than 20 cashier isles but only 5 cashiers. there is always a line when buying here average of 15mins wasted just for waiting in line. parking fee is ₱30 after 15mins. might be coincidence or another money making scheme. Id stay away from this place if you value your time.

Best thing about this mall is the department store where you can find more unusual items. Especially the kitchen section which has supplies you can't find in other department stores such as cast iron skillets and bamboo steamers. Parking is fixed rate so feel free to look around all you want.

One of the oldest mall holding a lot of fond memories for many. Sadly, the establishments are becoming worn out. Bad smell and hardly any restaurants that serve decent meals. The theatre is also closed. Time took a toll here. One good thing is the renovation of the food court. And there are still a few good establishments left.

Cute mall with a great clothing store and several good dining options despite its smaller size. The open layout is a nice change of pace from the typical mega malls of SM and Robinsons.

Its okay. Grocery and foos station like Jollibee and some snacks kiosks is on the ground floor. Clothing, playing area and gadgets is on the second floor. Home appliances is on the third floor.

Noisy asian market. But there is a few gems inside. The art and gift department on level 3 is bolstering with eyecandy. Lots to be seen here. There are a few rather good restaurants here too. And a korean style coffee bar i can recommend.

The have a decent pocket friendly collection of stuff but the staff need to be a bit more willing to serve. I got stuff there twice but on both occasions found that I had to ask multiple times for help to multiple staff before one actually helped.

Even though I gave this mall a three star rating I want to give it a four. The reason I do is Gaisano malls are always not as well kept as SM or Ayala malls. It needs updating and the movie theater has been closed for years? Who knows why they havent reopened it or at least converted it to more retail space is beyond my business acumen apparently. The second floor outdoor benches are a huge plus as so many malls in the Philippines lack free seating or any public seating for reasons unkown. If it was better maintained, the stock in the Gaisano department store stopped selling the outdated inventory only a grandmother would like and lured a few well recognized brand stores id give it a four star. But I have to say there's just something about it I like.
