Great
park
with
plenty
of
wide
open
space,
some
steep-ish
short
hiking
trails
down
into
the
old
fish
hatchery,
shelters
with
roofs
and
concrete
floor
with
BBQ
pits
on
poles
nearby,
a
public
restroom
(not
the
nicest
ever
but
it
does
the
job
and
has
running
water
and
flush
toilets),
is
right
on
the
paved
trail
system
and
serves
as
a
gateway
to
George
Wyth
State
Park
and
Hartman
Reserve
Nature
Center
with
their
plentiful
soft
trails
for
hiking,
cycling
and
other
outdoor
recreation,
interpretive
center,
and
regular
nature
programming
and
events.
Pfeiffer
is
also
conveniently
located
just
off
of
Hwys
58
and
218.
There
is
a
drinking
fountain
(note
that
it
is
turned
off
when
temps
get
near
freezing)
with
a
dog
spigot
and
bowl
on
the
bottom
for
your
weary
pets
(on
a
6
foot
or
less
leash
to
respect
the
other
park
goers
please),
and
a
bicycle
workstation
with
a
hanging
stand,
tools
and
a
pump
for
trailside
repairs.
Overall
it
is
a
great
park
in
the
heart
of
Cedar
Falls
and
serves
as
a
rally
point
for
active
folks
all
season
long.
