Decided to stop by a Muay Thai boxing camp on my SE Asia trip and Yak Yai didn’t disappoint. Instructors were very nice even with someone as inexperienced as I and there are English-speaking instructors. The facility is brand new so the gym was very clean. There was a cleaner that came after the class that sanitized everything as well. Decided to purchase one of their shirts as a souvenir and it instantly became my favorite gym shirt. Quality and design was top-notch and the sizing was perfect.

Yak Yai Muay Thai is a fantastic gym. The classes are run very well and allows you to focus on technique. I love that they remind the students to slow down and not be too crazy during the sparing. The space itself is really open and clean! New equipment and bags! The trainers here really know what they are doing and want to help you no matter your experience level. There’s also an area with weights and treadmills invade you can’t get outside for a run. The best gym I’ve trained at in a long time 💪🏽

I recently had the opportunity to visit Yak Yai Muaythai Place, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. As a Muay Thai enthusiast, I was thrilled to find a training facility that not only met my expectations but exceeded them in various aspects. First and foremost, cleanliness is of paramount importance to me, and Yak Yai Muaythai Place definitely delivered in this regard. The training area was impeccably maintained, with clean and well-kept equipment. It was evident that the staff took great care in ensuring a hygienic environment, making me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my visit. The owner of Yak Yai Muaythai Place deserves special commendation. From the moment I stepped foot into the gym, their warm and welcoming nature made me feel like a part of the family. One of the standout features of Yak Yai Muaythai Place is the availability of an ice bath. This recovery option was a welcome addition to my training routine. After intense workouts, the ice bath provided a refreshing and rejuvenating experience, helping to reduce muscle soreness and accelerate recovery. It was a true luxury to have this facility conveniently accessible within the premises. In conclusion, Yak Yai Muaythai Place is a top-notch training facility for Muay Thai enthusiasts. With its clean and well-maintained environment, helpful owner, and the added benefit of an ice bath, it provides an excellent experience for anyone looking to enhance their skills and enjoy a comprehensive training regimen. I highly recommend this place to both beginners and seasoned practitioners who seek a welcoming and supportive environment to pursue their Muay Thai journey!

Loving my training at Yak Yak muay thai. I've been doing private sessions with Big for a week, and after 10+ years of training I'm still learning something new every day whilst having fun. The owners have a lot of international and Thai fight experience and it shows in the way the gym is ran. The gym is also so clean, which is a massive bonus for me. I can't wait to come back!

Highly recommend this place. The gym is very big and spacious. Basically has what you need to train. I booked a private session for 2 hours with Coach Henry and he is very helpful. He helped me out with tips and tricks that he likes using and is willing to teach others. Lastly, I contacted 3 gyms in Phuket to book a session and this gym responded first (by instagram). They are quick to reply and are very helpful. Thank you a lot Yak Yai Muay Thai!

If you are visiting Phuket and looking for a gym, I highly recommend Yak Yai Muay Thai. They have a great facility located in Chalong and all trainers have fought and still are fighting at the highest stages. They helped me work on a few of my weaknesses that I will take with me back to the states. #Yakyaimuaythai

Phuket is home to a lot of amazing Muay Thai gyms. This week, we went to a few gyms, but Yak Yai Muay Thai was our favorite spot! The facility itself was spacious and clean! The trainers were very experienced and gave you a lot of attention. Would definitely make this our first stop next time in Phuket!

I took 10 private sessions in a week. My trainer, Kwanchai, is a very professional fighter as well as an excellent advisor and trainer. All the other trainers were also jovial and friendly. The gym was very spacious and pleasant. The shower rooms were well-maintained and there was no major inconvenience. I miss everyone! I am looking forward to returning and having fun training again.

Yak Yai Muay Thai made my 2-week Phuket trip superb and memorable. If you're going to Thailand, or if you're an aspiring Muay Thai fighter, Phuket is the best place to go to. If you're someone who's trying Muay Thai for the first time, I highly recommend going to this place. Entire gym is spacious, well-ventilated, well-lit, and they have a complete set of gym equipments that will make your workout routine efficient and effective. Every 'Kroo' (coaches and trainers) is friendly and fun to work with. 🫶🤍

What a great gym, in such a big and nice space! Everything here is super clean, organized, and indoors with good cooling so some much needed relief from training in that thailand outdoor heat! Lol. There are a lot of thoughtful touches for the members which I appreciate. The trainers and owners here are very lovely - friendly, helpful, experienced and give great technical tips and corrections! I like how they remember what I’m trying to get better at/learn. The ratio to students is 1:1 so you will get lots of help here! I think it’s a great gym for the fitness enthusiast, beginner, intermediate, or fighter! Also, they are kid friendly if someone wanted to bring their kids to train with, they just keep them separate from the adult training (clinching/sparring). And around the corner, there are places to get some super cheap smoothies, shakes, and food!

Couldn’t recommend this place more! I’m a beginner, paid 800 baht for lots of extra one on one time in class. Exhausting and great workout, friendly staff who speak English and care about teaching you the sport even if you’re not a training fighter. Also helpful: They sell wraps (and cold water) and let you borrow gloves and shin pads.

Following up on my Yak Yay Muay Thai experience. I did 20 x 2 hour lessons to get an introduction to this beautiful art. You will not regret choosing this gym. - All staff care about you. You really feel that after a few classes. - I got 3-4 sessions with 1 to 1 pad work with instructor every lesson. Hard work :-) - Highly skilled instructors with a lot of professional fighting experience. Champions among them. - Lack of Thai language skills is not a problem. I noticed that at least English and Chinese is spoken. - The instructors are well treated by the owners. - Clean indoor facilities. Equipment is wiped down after every class. - The location is perfect with a lot of room for parking. Situated 200 m south of the hectic "fitness street".

Spent a week and a half at Yak Yai Muay Thai. A huge facility, very clean and the most structured gym I’ve been to in Thailand. The trainers are A++, they are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. It is very beginner friendly and great for intermediate- advanced practitioners/fighters as well! Some of the coaches are active competitors in the sport and will jump into drills and sparring with you :) They have an Ice Bath, Squat and Bench Press rack, a treadmill and loaner equipment. Will definitely come back here and recommend for every one to try. 😁

First of all, the gym looks amazing from the exterior to the interior - it’s new, clean and cool af. When I got there, I was immediately greeted by Henry and Jojo at the front and felt comfortable and welcomed - important for a woman. The trainers were all helpful and polite - it was a fun class. Importantly, I felt a community vibe I’ve been missing while at one of the ‘big’ gyms up the street, which is particularly great as I got more one on one instruction. The class itself was the perfect level of intensity / instruction. After class, we took an ice bath in a swank tub that fit 6 of us with room for more. Another great detail was that the women’s bathroom and showers were clean and new, like a resort. The entire gym is clean, open and perfect. Also, the bags and mats were promptly sanitized after class. Although my membership to another gym is already paid, I’m seriously considering going to Yak Yai instead…

I took a private session and a class at Yak Yai Muay Thai, which is a world class Muay Thai school with great trainers including owner, Kru Henry. The school is located in Chalong, Phuket. The facility is extremely spacious and clean. The instructors are all experienced fighters and will provide you with lots of individual attention and detailed instruction to improve your skills. The school is also open to students of all levels. After training at various other schools, I highly recommend Yak Yai for for both short term and long term training.

Visited this gym on a Saturday, which tends to be a rest day for a lot of people training in the area. The class felt very personalized compared to their gyms I visited in the area. Smaller class, but great training. The instructors were all great! This gym is a little further than most the other gyms on “the strip” but within walking distance. Also they had more safety involved which made me felt a lot better being fairly new into the sport. The facility was also very clean.

I had the opportunity to do two weeks of training in this club and I highly recommend it! All the elements are gathered to allow you to discover or evolve in Muay thai. The place is clean and very well arranged, the team is very professional, welcoming, patient, respectful... Everything is put together to allow you to progress. Don't hesitate, contact them and come to make your own opinion, whatever your level you will come out great! I hope to come back very soon, thank you for everything

This has to be my favorite gym in Phuket. I had a few group lessons and had a chance to have a private with Henry and all was good. Spacious, clean, good trainers, excellent equipment, not crowded. I will definitely return every time I am here.
