I came here last year and trained 2023. Was good and simple. I came here again in 2024, and the front office ladies have ruined this place for me. I'll am wanting to never come back, and I might go somewhere else. I had a private class at 13:00. I arrive at 12:40pm. My training started at 13:20pm. They only trained me for 40 minutes, not the trainers fault. The front desk lady was insanely rude to me. Wouldn't answer my questions. Asking me retoricle questions back and treating me like a child. She was also rude and argued with other customers in front of me. I have no idea why tiger muay thai has highered and kept someone like this. I come from american top team in USA. This was unprofessional. I am treated badly because they messed up on their end. But luckily one of the upper trainers saved this place from a one star. He was willing to work with me to give me a free hour. I only asked for 30 minutes. And it was an amazing session. I want to give a 3 star now but I'm going to give a 4 star because I realize the whole place shouldn't suffer because of one miserable office woman.

5 star for facilities. No stars for honest customer service Make sure you know what you are buying if you give them money you will not be able to get any refund if you do not use all services or if you decide you are not interested. Also be aware that all trainers and PT's have different rates so what you are promised with one person is not the same for others. These rates and packages are not advertised on their website and are not explained to you. If you have not been to Thailand before and have just found this gym online I would sugest not locking yourself into anything for long term straight away as this particular strip has plenty of fitness options and accommodation I would sugest you come and have a look and check out what is available before making a solid commitment online as there are plenty of better deals available for accommodation plenty of healthy options for food at a much cheaper price than what is offered at tiger grill and a hell of alot of other gyms and training places to negotiate better deals with. I wish I had come and seen what was here before making a commitment to Tiger. So do your self a favour book a room and walk around the strip before booking anything.

This is the worse possible experience you can have to begin learning muay thai in phuket. This place is the definition of a tourist trap. The beginner classes are so commercialised to where you are just an in an out number to make money off, the trainers couldn't care less and are just messing about between themselves, one guy stands at the front on a stage and directs everyone at once like an aerobics class. The food staff are extremely rude and the food is very subpart. The gear shop is crazily overpriced and a cash grab. The popularity of this place just produces turnover, anyone with half a brain would try any of the so many other options on phuket or in the street alone.

I did Muay Thai for the first time there for 2 hours. Definitely got my moneys worth in sweat. The guys have a developing level of English, like any gym if you are cool and calm and follow all the rules you’ll just be fine. The good thing is there is different groups due to the levels, so experienced won’t be mixed with new guys.

The gym is everything the website makes it out to be. The grill is slightly expensive but you pay for convenience although there are cheaper places in the street. Also there are additional charges for room key security and some other extras they don't advertise, so prepare for that as they want cash only. The classes can be packed but they accommodate it well. If training here again, I'd stay offsite but the on-site accommodation was fine. One thing I didn't agree with was requiring to give a copy of your passport. A lot of the scooter places wanted the hardcopy of a passport as collateral which is ridiculous. A&J's motorcycle to the left of Tiger accepted an additional cash payment in lieu of providing your passport. You're an idiot if you hand out your passport to anyone for anything overseas, period!

Don't make the mistake of paying before you arrive or paying for a week or month in advance, they will just steal your money. Pay for one class if you really want to try it. The beginner class instructor injured a student "demonstrating" something. Class is overcrowded. Reception women are incredibly rude, irritating and incompetent. Hygiene is terrible throughout the facility. Much more comfortable muay Thai facilities on the Soi.

TMT was always on my list, but finally getting to experience the energy of the place is just an awesome experience. The whole place is filled with people who have either come to train or just experience MMA. I have people crib that it is commercial but that true with any gym of this size. Booking was a breeze, instructors were engaging and the class was well conducted. Outdoor training in 80% humidity in 100 F will push your limits, if you are in for the pain it’s definitely worth the money. Next time around coming back for longer stay.

Visited here while on holiday with my partner. Trained kickboxing many years ago and always wanted to train in Thailand. Despite myself being very out of shape and rusty to say the least 😂 the Trainers were really attentive and helpful. It was my partners first time every training Muay Thai and the trainer was very understanding of her level and adapted the pad work accordingly focusing on correct technique etc. Would 100% recommend and will be booking to come back here next time we visit Phuket.

Things have gone bad since 2019.... Went to advanced muay thai class and the routine was always the same - 7 laps of running, shadowbox, bag work then sparring/clinching, a little technique, 300 sittups then stretch out. On quiet days there would be 3 coaches leading and the rest playing chess behind their table. Some days we'd even finish 1 hour early. Felt like I should have just paid for private sessions instead. Tiger Grill is good and more halal choices. Recommend to avoid group classes and just do private sessions because some coaches in private sessions are amazing, Group classes are not. I dunno what it is behind closed doors because I know all the Kru's are great and can teach you a lot but its a mystery why their attitude and mood becomes negative in group classes. I think the nail in the coffin was when i asked for a group photo with the coaches and one said "the other coaches are not in the mood"

Disrespectful, Rude & Unfriendly GEAR SHOP STAFF! I’m still in trauma writing this feedback because the actual holiday with my wife and training classes were fantastic, but the staff in the gear shop are absolutely useless and completely turned us off!! Ruined our amazing stay and all the good we had to say about this place that we loved coming to year after year. Wasn't sure whether if this particular staff name Shampoo, she was having her periods or frustrated not finding a sugar daddy, but that was no excuse to ignore us. We politely asked for sizes and her reply in her own exact words: Whatever is on the stand! Completely hilarious. She definitely got an ego issue or thinks she’s that one hottie in town, do yourself a favor and look into the mirror. Horrendous! People have lost their lives and jobs to Covid, be fortunate you have one at such an amazing place like Tiger. Covid taught us a lot and sad you couldn’t learn from it. Shame!

I really wanted to train in this gym because of its good reputation, even though I was warned by different people about their staph infection problems. However, I decided not to trust them and guess what? I got a staph infection after the first Muay thai training and I'm currently under antibiotics. Also, while there I've seen people walking on the tatami with their shoes on... I really think staff should take hygiene issues more seriously!

Went there training for 15 days, wide range of mixed martial arts including Muay Thai, Krabi Krabong, western kickboxing MMA. Excellent staff & coaches. Quality & good food in the TMT restaurant, caters for all cultures & countries. Excellent high protein food always being served, wide range available. A mixture of fine protein drinks ranging from 28g per drink to 52 g per drink. Very cheap prices 👍Only downsides really is no judo but the MMA side of it well outways this. There’s a wide range of mixed martial arts throughout the day. the weights facilities could be improved too a higher standard & they could do with getting more toilets as they where often full & I had to wait & cue. Other than that, Highly Recommended.👊👊👍.

I have been to Tiger Muay thai 6/7 years ago - it was a great place to get exposed all sort of martial arts in the day time and end with a nice relaxing yoga session. I visited the same place months ago assuming everything will be same, big mistake. It is so commercialised, and that for worse. The reception girls (3 of them, whom I remember from the previous visit) used to be nice & polite girls and the experience and exposure made them rude and worse (one thinks that she owns the place and answers for the manager himself). Then the training sessions , it is too crowded and the trainer themselves doesn't have that of qualification or training and experience (in my opinion they are good trainers to lose weight but not for learning martial arts or fight training as they used to be). Hygiene is not great ( it got both worse and good in respective sections). Safety, I remember coming out of the gym and seeing a guy running out of breath and fainting but the trainer or fellow trainees didn't even bother helping the poor guy out (maybe it's one-off incident but that's what safety/hospitality all about). Yoga , it's no more there and don't know the reason. Refund/Money related query - Don't bother asking them, as it is flushed the moment you paid. Whatever the scenarios/situation or any genuine reason you won't get a penny back. Its Kap khun krap/ka (thank you) until you make the payment and its Kap khun CRAP after you made the payment. I hope this changes for good as it used to be a good facility and hope it gets better.

Trap for tourist, they are for sure Money makers. I don't got better no!, afterward I felt very bad. Poor quality only for first time ever in life training. Class size is way to high. Stay in your home gym and spend your money in something else, I did the experience like many others too and it ain't worth it.

Did a few Muay Thai sessions in the beginner and intermediate groups but was left a bit disappointed every time. Basically the classes are just way overcrowded, even now when it’s not the high season yet. I would only get 1 or 2 rounds of pads each class and spent the rest of the class hitting a bag without any supervision or tips from the trainers. All trainers I met also spoke little to no English. Now I get we’re in Thailand but in a gym which targets primarily foreigners I would expect the trainers to speak at least very basic English so they can give tips and answer questions, but I only got trainers with whom I could not communicate at all. The facilities are really nice and I think this can be a fantastic place to train if you are already advanced/pro as these classes were much less crowded, but for beginner/intermediate fighters there are lots of other great gyms nearby where you get a lot more personal attention.

Cost performance is not very good. Can be recommended for the self-strict fighter-aspired young people who want to stay this area one month or more, or one-time experience for tourists. Yes, it is Thailand. You can have a special local experience. The facitilies in the premises are organized very well and clean enough. However, you need to be aware that a lot of things are more expensive than those of Tokyo standard.

I had read that this gym could be considered a bit of a tourist trap and overpriced for what it is before going so went with mid to low expectations and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. I'm it's not the cheapest gym option but the week long all inclusive training + stay that I had felt very affordable and I definitely got my money's worth and more, as well as learning a lot, meeting some lovely people and getting a new love for Muay Thai. The Krus in beginners class (bar a few specific ones) were mostly very kind and helpful. In the same trip I also visited Bangtao gym in the north which was more expensive, felt less authentic, less welcoming and overall far more "tourist trap" like than Tiger. If you're a beginner interested in Muay Thai then I really recommend Tiger!! If you want the best value I'd suggest trying to bring your own equipment (gloves/shin guards) and eating elsewhere on the street rather than at the Tiger café as both rentals and food are overpriced.

Great facilities but I didn’t think much of the lesson. The class was supposed to be two hours but only lasted around one hour and then I realised the main instructor was just killing time. I’ve trained in much better places in Thailand.

Such an amazing experience. This is by far one of the best martial arts gym, if not the best gym in the world. I was very impressed with the versatility that the gym offers catering to the needs and interest of the consumer - they offer kickboxing, muay thai, boxing, crossfit and many more. Their lucrative programs are offered in packages, all of which are incorporated in different price points, creating $ options for various consumption levels. Their programs are solid which are commenced under the direction of experienced cerebral practitioners that have an extensive background in the specified sport that they specialize in. I also like the fact that gym is both organized and clean. Like any other gyms, there are coaches that are nonchalant but there are many coaches or Kru that are very courteous, friendly and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I were both very fond of Kru Chokchai who took interest with us and ensured we were well taken care of. We also admired the kindness and the attention to detail that kru Sitpalan & Kru Phutt offered. The big buddah run and beach workouts were a refreshing disruptor that also allowed to be outdoors and enjoy the spectacular views. We will definitely come back to this gym

I was skeptical coming here as it’s such a big name that I was fearful the training wouldn’t be good or I wouldn’t be treated well given how many people this gym sees annually. I couldn’t be more wrong; the staff from the office to the trainers are amazing. I do No Gi BJJ, Muay Thai, private Muay Thai sessions and use the weight room daily and the curriculum is well planned out and the coaches do go out of their way, from my experience, to assist you wherever and whenever they can. The quality in training partners has been great here, too. I never felt intimidated and always had someone to roll/spar with despite being a relative newbie. With regards to private lessons I was never pushed into purchasing them. This was something I had planned before I got here and feel it’s a much better way to advance quicker than a class. Overall, a good experience.

One of the best destination gym in Thailand. I went to Phuket to meet an old friend. She was having classes there for almost two months! I asked what's holding you there? Then I went there and got the answer by experiencing the environment. I've attended a few classes there. It's a cool place to meet some people, get yourself fit. Another thing i like about that place is food , you can get healthy meal there and the whole area is full of healthy food.

Had a fantastic time training at Tiger Muay Thai. Booked two private lessons for my friend and I (I had some experience under my belt) and the coaches were super reassuring, fun, and engaging. It was honestly flattering to hear I had some idea of what I was doing. These classes are available to anyone regardless of their level of skill. My friend was a beginner and felt he got work out of it. Would highly recommend especially given the price (700 THB which is absolutely crazy. $20?! So reasonable)

I had a great time here, just booked a day pass. With that you can use all the facilities and do any classes. I used the gym, did the circuit class and the Muay Thai. The trainers were very helpful and funny too. Did some one on one pad work etc. The food was nice in the restaurant too, definitely worth a visit!

Being an aging athlete and a glutton for punishment I did a day pass here and attended 3 classes in the same day. It was an honor and privilege to train here. I highly recommend this place as an all inclusive training center. Everyone was friendly and the trainers were knowledgeable and professional. Note that this place is the most popular of the 3 gyms I trained at and 5 gyms that I visited. Classes were generally 30-40 people which means a little bit less personal attention but plenty of others at whatever skill/fitness level you are at. Though I would consider myself at an intermediate level back in the States. I got plenty smoked in the beginner classes where I trained along many men and women, some of whom were having their first Thai experience while others (even in the beginning class had lots of experience and stamina). It was also fun to watch high level fighters work with their trainers throughout the day as I tested between classes. The snack bar was a great way to refuel between classes. Food was nutritious and the shakes and balls were perfect when I didn’t have a lot of time to refuel. The kickboxing class - though only an hour it felt like 2 because the training was hard and intense. The instructor was a highly skilled foreigner who taught a great well thought out combo. This was the most I interactive class I had while in Thailand. I absolutely loved it. Muay Boran - it was an honor to train under a world champion. Class was a bit slower paced then the earlier kickboxing class but full of excellent points and fighting philosophy. I felt like I was in the hands of a grandmaster. Every student got some personal attention and guidance. Class was a treat. The Muay Thai class was a great traditional class. We did a ton of cardio, shading ing and clinch drills with other students ending in 9 rounds of pad work, bag work and hard clinch training. Instructors refined my technique and I was smoked at the end of my day. I also peaked in at the cross training and weight room areas and they looked top notch. This is a great place to train

Been coming to this camp for the last 6 years if my life, I try and make it out ever year from a month to sometimes 6. I have etrained alover the Soi and there are many great places but Tiger stands out with excellent customer service, an all rounded team of fighter ready to teach you who all seasoned pros. I was lucky enough to be stuck in Thailand in Chalong from March till August. Not only did Tiger give out 2 weeks of corssfit when it was aowed to open again they also lowered their prices (thier prices range from 12-17,000 a month extremely worth it with what you get out of it) but they where offered for the month 4,000 baht. We have all been slowly running out of funds so for them to this helped alot of people to still be able to train. Us I met a few of my hero's in UFC If you want to follow me more on my travels I'm always posting new content on my IG Theseaword90

I was at Tiger Muay Thai for one month in April. I've read through some of the reviews here and think it's worth me sharing a few things: 🔸 Tiger Muay Thai is one of the more commercialized muay thai gyms in Thailand. This actually makes it much easier for westerners to acclimbatise and means everyone around speaks English, there's a wide variety of food, etc. It also means it's more expensive than some other places. 🔸 You get out of your training what you put in. Sometimes you get minor injuries. That is part of learning a martial art. If you build rapport with your trainer and give it your all, they will respect you more. Just because you're a paying customer, it doesn't mean they're going to pamper you... 🔸 The staff are friendly and respectful. The girts at reception were polite and helpful. The trainers are professional and will correct your technique if you ask them. They make most of their living through private classes, so naturally they ask if you want to take some private classes every now and then. 🔸 The accommodation was fine. The cleaners were friendly and offered to clean my room most days, including changing towels and bedsheets routinely. 🔸 The class sizes can get busy, but for the most part this wasn't an issue. Afternoon classes are busier than morning classes. Classes are structured like: - Warm up and stretch - Techniques - Sparring (3 rounds) - Bag and pad work - Drills for cardio - Stretching 🔸 The facilities are good. They have lots of space and equipment. It might not be what you're used to from back home, but frankly you're not back home... Overall I felt it was pretty standard compared to the other muay thai gyms I've trained in around Asia. 🔸 The grill is pretty obviously for convenience seeing as you can just eat the same food for half the price elsewhere. That much should be really obvious... 🔸 PT classes are worth doing. The one on one time with the trainer is valuable. Overall, I'd approach this with the attitude that you will get out what you put in, and not wait for someone else to come and sort things for you. If you want something, ask. If you need something shown again, ask. The trainers aren't there to pamper you because you paid some money to the gym. They're people will 200-300 fights under their belt. They're highly experienced fighters. Utilize that. Everyone I met at Tiger was impressed with the training and glad that they did it. Overall, I'd recommend it highly.

Trained at Tiger in October 2021. At the time it was quiet because of COVID, but I had a great time. All the trainers, retail staff and fighters were good people. Trained hard, with no ego. The worst part of it all is that I could only stay 2 weeks. I made a lot of friends. Miss them.
