Staff take lot of time for changeover, cleaning table and inletting waiting guests, if thats improved then waiting time could be drasticallyreduced. Tables are also rigid which cannot be modified to customize number of guests who are in group. The wooden flooring cause lot of shake while the guests/ staff move around. Ambience is good, food is tasty. Cost is reasonable. Have limited parking space for cars

I’ve come here before they got the Michelin rating. The food is the same great quality, however it is very busy here and it feels like the prices have increased quite a bit (still a good value, though). Besides that, this place has superb northern Thai food. If possible, try to come to this place with someone from northern Thailand so they can teach you about the dishes and how to properly eat the food with sticky rice. This would enrich your experience and you’d probably have a better appreciation for the complexity of northern Thai cuisine. I notice that even Thai people from the south aren’t familiar with northern Thai cuisine which seems evident in some of the negative reviews. Make no mistake though, the food here is delicious and I’d recommend even for those with less adventurous palettes.

Recommended on the Michelin guide of 2023 this isn't a fine dining place but a classy restaurant serving the hearty Northern Thai Cuisine. Spice is on and dishes are fantastic. And prices are unbelievably low!

You will have write down your name and wait outside. You will be called by name when its your turn. We tried the favorite (Khao Soi) which was very very yummy. However the other dish we ordered was very very spicy. We ended up having 2 drinks and a dessert to just recover from the spice. However, I believe thats the authentic Chiang Mai experience. Loved the Ambiance. Lil bit of mosquito problem but cant complain in Thailand about it.

They close the doors at 3pm so try to go earlier. Overall was good but won’t repeat as it wasn’t blow away different if you’re already accustomed to Thai food.

No wait for my visit on Thursday 6pm. Food is amazing. Definitely have to pair with glutinous rice for an authentic Northern Thai experience. For Asians used to a certain degree of spiciness in your food, this is a bearable level of heat. The curry had a really complex, multi layer flavor. I personally loved the savory pork blood glutinous rice.

I have got recommendations to come here by the locals. The wait was about 30mins but we survived by the rice crackers they sell. They are delicious! The food was good. We got recommend to order Larb Pork and Crab Omm. We also got Young Jackfruit Salad and Nothern vegetables soup. They are all good with comfortable spices. Clean bathrooms and amazing plant decors.

Really good restaurant for lannai cuisine. Portions were good for sharing. Worthy of a mention are the kanomjeen ngam niao, het pot and the spicy catfish soup. They are really delicious and especially yummy when eaten with white rice. The rest of the dipping dishes goes really well with the glutinous rice.

I’m officially a fan of Northern Thai Cuisine. I think it’s leans more on flavor and less on spicy. Now I love spicy food, but it’s harder to make something flavorful without chili and northern style food does a great job at it. This place was delicious and you can tell; they’re always busy. I had the Or Derp Muang to start, it’s a medley of different authentic appetizers to the area. I couldn’t come to Chiang Mai without trying their famous Kao Soy Kai (curry soup) which held its reputation as it was delicious. Lastly I had the Khai Jeaw Sai Khai Mod Dae (egg omelette with Ants). Nice dish to try once, but nothing to rave about. If I’m ever in Chiang Mai again I’ll be dropping by here. Too many things I didn’t get to try.

The atmosphere is great with northern traditional Thai songs playing and feels really authentic. Remember to tell them 'pek nik noi'. Most of the food are spicy by default, less spicy just fit my palate. Menu is complete with English, description and priced fairly. I will definitely come again whenever I visit Chiang Mai again. Favourite restaurant! Areas to improve: The wooden floor platform vibrates even the table when the staff walks around, not good when drinking soup off the spoon. No English sign that says we need to queue up to sign in before showing us to our tables. Parking can be scarce. P/S: I never knew Banana Flower can be eaten. XD

I was not impressed by any of the dishes, and definitely do not recommend the sai oua and the fermented pork. The sai oua was plain and dry, while the fermented pork was extremely hard. This is disappointing since they are both staples to the Northern Thai cuisine. I was really surprised to find out that this restaurant is a Michelin guide restaurant, especially since there are much better restaurants around. However, even though there are quite a lot of customers, they do serve the food very fast. The customer service is quite slow though.
