A very nice beer garden. Booking in advance is highly recommended as this is a really nice place. The outdoor seating is very good, with floral decorations and amazing lighting. There is an overhead covering so it is also perfect for a rainy day. The food here is good. The fries are especially good. The burger is average but we came here for the environment but not the food so we think it is acceptable. Good service and reasonable price.

Lovely tucked away pub with spacious seating inside and comfortable, covered outdoor seating. Highly recommend the burger for a main and cabbage as a side dish. Friendly customer service.

It's a Young's pub. The food is good, the service is fast and there's a good range of beers available. Young crowd and from been almost empty, apart from a few people glued to their laptops at 5pm, the beer garden was rammed by 6pm with lots of tables reserved. If you like the Young's formula you'll like the Fentiman Arms. I like it.

The Fentiman Arms on Fentiman Road is a neighborhood favorite that's got its own charm. It's more than just a pub; it's a comfortable spot that feels like an extension of home. The laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff make it a go-to for a relaxed evening. The food is solid – hearty pub grub with some nice surprises. Plus, the outdoor area adds a nice touch, especially on sunny days. Whether you're stopping by for a pint or grabbing a bite, the Fentiman Arms has that local vibe that keeps you coming back. It's a real gem tucked away on Fentiman Road.

Lovely food. Clean cozy pub. Nice selection of beer, including multiple zero alcohol options. Lots of pictures on the wall that were a good talking point. And some quirky design ideas, like the minimalistic taps in the rest room.

Came here with a group for Sunday lunch. Staff were very accommodating of our large group which included a baby and a dog. Using the app to order was easy & worked well with the staff. Food was lovely & arrived for most of our party very quickly. (Highly recommend the roast beef and truffle cauliflower cheese) Pricing as you’d expect for London. Only issue was some of our mains were quite delayed, but a staff member did notice and quickly rectify this.

Truly terrific pub with a great vibe and excellent customer service from the staff. Excellent menu, lots of options and food tastes delicious. A long list of drink options which are delicious too of course. Highly recommend!

Friday lunch - two courses and drinks. Reasonably quiet so service was efficient. Nice surroundings. Only slight annoyance is that you’re not allowed a tab at the bar which is a bit odd when eating and means you need to go and pay each time you order another drink.

Lovely London pub with bright welcoming feel and vibrant colours. Food was delicious and the chips (fries) were the best! Had a lovely lunch here with our daughters. Recommended!

Been here on Saturday evening. Their own website says to come round if you have no booking as they always have few tables left for walk ins - not the case, every single table had reservation on it. We found one table outside at the very end that was supposedly not booked. The pub seems to be very popular with very young crowd (around 20 years old) who book really large areas - there were tables reserved for few groups of size from 25 to 40 people. Obviously you can't sit 40 people together at the same table so they were mostly standing around tables and been very loud - that's not exactly nice to the few other very small parties who could not hear each other anymore or eat in relative peace. We were ordering food through the app as it was really not feasible to walk back with drinks through that sanding and lively crowd that should be mostly sitting and not occupying little space between tables. Drinks were not coming at the same time as the food - my friends pints arrived when they almost finished their food. Also at some point waitress arrived to tell us that the whole area needs to get cleared because there is another large party coming now - no 10 min warning, now. Since my friends had still drinks that arrived late we were left with no option than to just abandon drinks and go home as there was nowhere to even stand. Food was ok, but overpriced. The outside area looked a bit battered and untidy.

Great pub for a few drinks, lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Food however is very average for the price charged. The fish and chips were served with cold curry sauce and the mushy peas were powdered. Beers on the more expensive side at over £7 for a peroni

This pub is a real gem with a fantastic atmosphere and great drinks. While the food can be a bit slow at times, it's worth the wait. The service has improved since my first visit, and Sasha, one of the servers, is a standout. She's friendly, full of energy, and helped me pick the perfect drink. It's now one of my favourite hangout spots.

I had an excellent time at this pub! The atmosphere was great, the food and drinks were delicious, and the standout was the incredible service provided by Nachi. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the evening even more enjoyable. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'll definitely be returning

£18.50 for a Rump Steak that was possibly the worst steak I have ever had. Served with a mountain of Rocket the Rump steak was extremely poor quailty, tough and fairly tasteless On the upside, the beer selection is good. Just don't eat here unless you are too drunk to remember.

Really nice clean sitting area, ideal to spend a sunny afternoon. Visited the place around 5:30, slightly quiet since my last visit, but the place was comfortable, affordable, and serves great food and beverages. Good value for the money. Highly recommend the outdoor area. Staff are extremely cheery, attentive and professional, which is always a pleasant experience when visiting. Keep up the good work guys.

Great food (I had beautifully cooked pink in the middle lamb), lovely interior and exterior decor and really nice drinks. Only issue I had...tables and bar area were all sticky! Bit better housekeeping and it's a banger!!!

Went for a roast here a few months back and it was absolutely delicious and were so excited to come back. However today we had a completely different experience despite ordering the same two dishes as last time. The roast dinners arrived absolutely swimming in gravy ( now i like gravy but this was far too much!) and the veg and potatoes were soggy and tasteless. The lamb last time was on the bone, a large portion and lovely and this time wasn’t, portion was very small and fatty. The beef last time was tender and delicious but this time was very dry and chewy and there was barely any ox cheek served. The only saving grace was the Yorkshire puddings! We also waited ages for our wine which ended up being served after our food despite us prompting the staff. We were honest with the waitress about how we found our meal in comparison to the last but we were offered no compensation, then had to end up going to the bar to pay the bill as nobody came over at the end! Such a shame, food was amazing before.

Booked a table for two and requested 'restaurant' on the booking, turned up table not ready, given one in the bar. I placed our orders, and the server read them back. Starters were lovely, then the mains came one was correct, the other a chicken pie for a lifelong vegetarian. They profusely apologised, but I ate while my partner watched, and they ate while I watched. The cost of the error was omitted from the bill, plus a discount, but these simple errors of even getting the order right, and actually being able to hear each other, if we were in the restaurant make me doubtful as to if we'll return... would you?

A modernised pub that manages to retain the cosiness of a conventional one. I was bummered to find out it didn't offer any pie on the menu, as any pub would do, but I loved it renovated deco and atmosphere so much, I'm still leaving 5 stars here. Loved the collection of replica paintings here. Klimt, Modigliani, Van Gogh, you name it.

Lovely pub. Great fish and chips but abysmal beer. Tried Estrella, Pravha and Peroni. Completely flat. Totally ignored when I flagged that gas may need changing. Nice pub but will not return.

This is a great local pub with a great selection of beer and food. The veggie options are a little basic with no non-fake meat alternatives, but still ok enough once in a while. It can get extremely busy when there is cricket on at the nearby ground, The Oval. In summer the outside area is amazing, both front and back, and offers a welcoming atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Paul D. 1 year ago on Google
After a trip to The Oval we visited the Fentiman Arms which is only a stones throw away. A great locals pub surrounded by chimney pots serving good food and an excellent choice of beers. I can definitely recommend the Sunday roast!!

We were using the function room upstairs, which is very pleasant. Staff were helpful. Good communication from the start. Nice beers. Good location. A good experience all round. Thank you Francois and the team.

A lovely spacious pub with a good size function room upstairs, large bar downstairs, generous; heated garden area and a fine selection of craft beers. Would definitely recommend and be visiting again.

Having booked, when we arrived none of the bar staff acknowledged us. We were eventually shown to our table in the garden which should have been in a skip as the top of the table was so wobbly and was clearly not set up for our booking. We were offered another table which was not much better. Neither were clean and we had smoke billowing in our faces from the burger bar. We were then given a table inside and ordered the house red at £24 which they did not have and we were offered an alternative for £27 but the waitress had to speak to the manager to see if the price could be matched… at which point we left. Shame because we’ve had good experiences in the past.

The food is always great.. I was there yesterday for lunch and diner.. I have spent 200£ in the day and I believe the staff could be a little bit friendlier… at lunch; it was a business related meeting with two members of staff of my company (the bar-woman was on her own behind the bar but it wasn’t that busy) and it was difficult to just get a friendly smile and basic customer service attention.. it seems that I was more of a disturbing burden that anything else… But once more the food was excellent ! And I went back in the evening.. with another on the edge of no returning experience, where the barman this time was actually very rude.. and got confused with the wine we have ordered and telling us it was actually our fault.. where it wasn’t ! The manager there had to change it for us, after she realised it was the barman’s mistake ! I would strongly advise management/owner to review the staff behaviour.. as this is not adhering with the atmosphere and great food that the pub provides. Thank you 🙏🏻

We hosted a party for my husband's birthday at The Fentiman Arms a few weeks ago and had a fantastic time. We were given the perfect corner spot, with a few tables, to the left of the bar. The food was delicious and service excellent. Thanks for looking after us so well!

Service was great, bangers and mash was good. The Bloody Mary's need a lot of work, they're bad. Don't diverge from the recipe! The chicken liver parfait: I was assured by the waitress they contained no pork products , I can almost guarantee it did! Please check on this, it's important!
