This was absolutely not worth the price. I've paid half as much for rooms that were twice as nice. When you stay in a Hilton, you expect something above average, and this barely hit average. The room looked like a hospital room, there were stains on the sheet and shower curtain, room service wasn't available, and the vending machine didn't even work. Definitely not a good experience, and definitely won't be staying again.

This is a fantastic stay at this hotel. The lounge was stocked even as late as 6:30 which is amazing. The food was fresh and hot. Every employee that I've interacted with from the cleaning staff to the front desk to the food folks have all been amazing. Super nice, professional, respectful and more importantly helpful. The room we had is clean the internet has been fast. The bacon was chewy and not crispy. No complaints...

A very nice place. Went for a retreat and couldn't have been happier with the meeting areas. Found the rooms easily and the dining was good. Outdoors was beautiful! Limited shopping and restaurants were an easy stroll away. The hotel rooms were nice but could use a bit of updating. Everything worked well though.

Perfect stay for a simple getaway! Rooms are clean and the entire place smells nice. Customer service was quick and efficient. There's a nice pool and a boardwalk right outside to meet your need for serenity or pathway to food and shopping. Grab some ice cream too! You won't be disappointed here.

Location is really great, especially if you get a room with a view of the lake. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Service is ok but not on par with Hilton standards. Had requested early check-in (around 1pm). Our room was not available even though we arrived after 2pm. We waited over 45 minutes before we got a room! At a different Hilton on this same trip, we were able to get our room by 1:30pm. Secondly (and I hope Management takes note): 1) Pillows are horrible . Being a Gold member, I have stayed at many Hilton Hotels but never such bad pillows. And I would say other hotel guests felt the same way because when I called front desk to request foam pillows or something softer , I was told that they were all out of it because a lot of guests had requested a change in pillows. 2) A/C in some rooms makes a loud noise every time it starts and stops. We couldn't sleep the first night. Fortunately, after I complained they moved us to a different room which had something like central A/C

This hotel was a lot less than I was expecting based on the price that you paid for the rooms. Nothing was horrible but not much was good either. The rooms were OK at best and the bathroom was definitely subpar. The lake view is nice but not worth the price. Temperatures in the room we’re fine but it was extremely hot in the hallways. For this price I’d definitely go to a different hotel. UPDATE - See the generic response below. No, I'm not going to contact your support team. This is the same response many people have about this property. You need to renovate the rooms.

One of the worst stay experiences, mainly due to the front desk staff, Adam. When we arrived everything seemed great, however, getting off the elevator, we were hit with the strong pungent odor of weed. Our actual room also reeked. The room was also DISGUSTING. The vents were clogged with dust, stains on the curtains, sheets, and floors, the shower was cracked and gross. We called the front desk to see if they could help identify the room source for the smell and help us switch rooms, but they said there was nothing they could do about it and hung up. I began to get a headache due to the smell and went down to talk to someone in person. We met with Adam and (really calmly) started to explain. He started impatiently trapping his fingers and rolling his eyes. I was shocked at this behavior and brought to his attention, to which he stated that was normal for him, but did stop for us. Adam said there were no other rooms available. However, earlier that stay we had our room's phone replaced. When we casually asked the handyman he said that phone was taken from another empty room. They ended up just spraying our room down with air refresher and it ended up smelling like father flowers and weed. Our toddler also ended up getting a headache due to the smell which made for a long and sleepless night. We tried to find another hotel, but couldn't find anything available nearby so late at night. It was a horrible experience overall. Do not recommend - 1/10.

The event rooms were nice but my room left a lot to be desired. I don’t find rusty bathtubs and torn carpeting to be Hilton quality. However the great service from the front desk and the quality of service at the event I attended did make up for it somewhat, but I still can’t leave a glowing review due to the condition of my room. The prices are too high for that level of quality.

Staff always the BEST! Hotel is showing its age though. Questionable water damage in our bathroom! Bar Staff always the Best too! Wish they had a few rooms that were dog friendly. Great location to go to concerts at the Pavilion.

I attended a conference at this location and stayed for 5 days. Parking was adequate. However, there weren't a lot of spaces close to the entrance. The rooms were nice, and I appreciated the in shower bathroom amenities. I had an adjoining room and noticed there was not a lot of noise transfer, and none than interrupted my sleep. One of my favorite things about this stay was the meals we had ordered from the hotel! All the food and dessert items were delicious and I found the prices to be very reasonable. The biggest issue I encountered was the luggage carts. There were only 4 available, and each one had at least one flat tire, some with even more making them extremely difficult to drive. This made checking in and out a struggle with everything else in between being a good experience.

Honestly not worth the money. I've been to much nicer hotels that exist within this price range. Service was okay, drinks at the bar were strong and not too overpriced. The room however, was sub par. It's decorated nice, but that's just about the only pro. Shower and sink were backed up, A/C doesn't really work, walls are VERY thin, you can hear everything around you, the beds are uncomfortable and the curtains literally have holes in them. This is just a motel disguised as a nicer hotel. Save your money.

For all those weary travelers tired of overpriced accommodations, I highly recommend giving HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm a shot. Their price comparison tool is a game-changer, and this spectacular room rate is just one example. I stay with you at the Hilton in University Charlotte location at least once each month for business. In the past year, I would definitely say things have definitely gone uphill and way improved over three years ago. I’m not sure what changes you have made whether it be management or something else, but you guys are definitely knocking it out of the park! James , at the front desk is an amazing person and it’s definitely very proud of the Hilton he works at.

Got married here in September, the outside area is beautiful and my wedding was the best bc of my family and the vendors. I cannot say that too much about the hotel. The coffee pot in the room has mold in it, the people work the wedding would not let me have my wedding cake, I got the top but they took cake away from my guest and I and would not give us any of it and wouldn’t let me take it home. The services took away food and drinks as while guest were still sitting there eating. The bar tender was the best! The hotel gives you a suite for the night but when going to check out and go to the free breakfast we also get they didn’t even have that we checked in or anything. I would suggest a hotel for a wedding but I would not suggest this hotel.

There was a minor hiccup at check-in but, everything else during my stay was beautiful. I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times. I love the views that surrounds this property and the upgrade they gave me for birthday. I enjoyed my mini vacation

Was staying here as part of a convention. Room was a bit worn out. Carpet was warped and created a trip hazard. Bathroom fan was very loud. Staff seemed disengaged and not outgoing. Walked into the lobby at 10:00pm on day 1 ... had my own digital key and as I walked by the front desk... not one of the 3 employees acknowledged me. Convention staff was friendly and food was very good. Staff member at the Bar was very standoffish. Seemed annoyed to be waiting on us for lunch. We were the only ones there at noon.

Great view of the “lake” and boardwalk, with an opportunity once every hour of the night to have a look - because the bed was terrible. The springs could be heard just sitting on the bed. The dining experience was equally terrible. The staff begrudgingly handed over a to-go container of muffins and fruit. Whose fault is it that your executive lounge was closed? Some people just shouldn’t be in hospitality. Silver, diamond? Let’s call your service, copper. The room was spacious and well furnished.

Always a great stay here. I stay for conventions. Staff handle the load well. Restaurant is good, but I only had buffet breakfast there this time. I love the little pond in the back, but the demolition nearby was a bummer this time, had planned to use the office Depot next door, it was leveled. Lots of food places nearby.

We booked for a family reunion in the area. On arrival my mother’s room smelled like cigarette smoke for hours we even found the matches. Then had to call front desk to come spray or something because it became unbearable. In order to even call the front desk I had to call from my own room because her phone did not work and for the whole entire weekend. My room had plumbing problems then the last night it got backed up all over again. The lighting in the rooms were so dimmed and the tv in my room was so small either, the remote or tv had issues changing channels. I didn’t bother with the bar and everything else in the hotel . I asked to receive my checkout receipt through email because the overnight person said I would have to wait after his 15 min audit to receive a receipt, which I didn’t have that type of time to wait. So I left my email address like he told me too and never received the email. Then had to call for it the next day and only received one receipt the front desk associate was hard at listening and rude! The only good thing is the location of the hotel for convenience for things to eat or shopping and the back of the hotel area by the little lake at night. The pool was okay but super small for a hotel that size. The front desk associates for my stay the first night were really nice and accommodating. Not the type of hotel I would ever book or in the future . And it was not worth the price for the stay in my opinion.

The Staff was AMAZING! We couldn't of asked for better service!!! Katelyn was super helpful in setting up the contract. Felix showed up and made sure that everything went as planned. We also LOVED Atef! He made sure that we were all taken care of, from dimming the lights to serving the food and beverages! The food was AWESOME! The bartender has a Smile that shined the entire night! We have booked next years party already! Thank you Hilton for hiring a great staff and we look forward to growing this relationship with you!

Our hotel room was dirty and not Put together when we arrived for our late check in. Dirty socks and trash was found in the room upon entering. There was a quarter amount of toilet paper with no extra rolls for 2 people staying 3 nights. There was 2 bath towels only. I finally hunted someone down for an extra set. The elevator was broken and when we went to use the stairs to go to the main floor, the exit doors were locked (good luck in case of a fire) so we had to climb back up 3 flights of stairs to wait for an elevator (15 minutes) we finally jumped on the first one that took us to the top then back to the lobby. We were on the 3rd floor. The ice machine broke and they left a huge puddle of water in the elevator room area for 2 days. We had to jump over it or walk thru the water to get to our room. We turned this in everyday and I watched a hotel staff lady call down and report it also. They had too many events at the same weekend and the coffee shop was almost an hour wait. There was 1 employee working the coffee shop the entire weekend. I asked to purchase water (because the coffee shop was closed) and was told it was only for Hilton honor members. I am a Hilton. Honor member( for many years). The staff were rude. After parking in the same parking place for 2 straight days, on my last night I was told I would be towed if I didn’t move. This is the parking place I was instructed to park on my first night since the parking was over full (guest were parking across the street at the bank) when I informed the hotel ,the management staff just gave me a “sorry”!!! very disappointed in this hotel. Never will we stay here again. BUT: the beds were very comfortable

My husband and I arrived late after getting into town the next morning after the 1st night of our reservation. Because of our extremely late arrival our reservation had been marked as cancelled. Luckily Chloe and Heather at the front desk were able to reinstate the reservation upon our arrival. Their prompt attention to what I feared was going to be a bad situation was exceptional. We were given keys to a room and invited to partake in breakfast if we cared to. We went upstairs to drop our bags in the room to be greeted with the heavy stench of cigarette smoke in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room. We immediately went downstairs and told Chloe about the smoke smell situation. She was very sympathetic, understanding and apologetic She quickly jumped into action and moved us to a different room. The new room was wonderful. It was clean and smelled great with a view overlooking the boardwalk and beautiful fall foliage outside. The new room was clean beyond the standards that we have come to appreciate from the Hilton brand of hotels. It was very well equipped for our remote executive lifestyle. The staff was amazingly friendly, helpful and courteous. They made us feel like we were part of the family. On Sunday morning we had breakfast in the Fountainview lounge. Our server, Tasha, was very friendly and attentive to our table as well as knowledgeable about the local area. On Sunday night, we enjoyed a nightcap at the hotel bar an hour before last call. Our bartenders skillfully created drinks we loved and provided delightful conversation to pass the evening. The last day of our stay, Monday October 31st, the executive lounge host was very accommodating during breakfast and helped us find a quiet place to work and eat. She also located cream cheese for the bagel I wanted to eat when cream cheese was nowhere to be found in the condiments containers. We were extremely impressed by the hospitality at this location. The service and hospitality that we received reminded us why we choose to stay exclusively at Hilton properties. It feels like going home when we travel.

This was a benefit dinner in a banquet room. It was great. Table spacing and room acoustics were top notch. The wait staff were quick, silent, and barely noticeable. I always arrive early at the Hilton to take advantage of the surroundings it is a beautiful Hilton. Since I live in the area, I did not use their rooms.

Stayed here four nights for a fan convention in August 2022. It's a great location for any kind of multi-day event as it's situated so close to lots of restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast is good if a bit overpriced. I did, however, discover a large cockroach in my room. As I was there for an event hosted at the hotel, I didn't want to leave, but was disappointed by the response. The front desk staff scheduled my room for daily housekeeping (which took forever every morning) and said they would speak to the manager, but I never heard further. Rates seem awfully high for issues with roaches. The room was otherwise clean and no other issues with staff or service.

My family had a family reunion in the area and the Hilton was the host hotel. I worked with the staff prior to arrival and the service was excellent from start to finish. Shannon made sure that our experience was smooth and seamless. Several family members expressed their pleasure with the service of the hotel. We had a family member who was vegan and had limited choices for the breakfast buffet. I spoke with one of the employees and he, immediately resolved the situation to her liking. Great customer service once again! My only suggestion is the need to update. The lobby was quite warm the entire weekend. The grounds could use some work and pressure washing, but that may take some time to coordinate. I would still recommend choosing this hotel.

Location is wonderful. Everyone there was great. The front desk people while staying there were helpful. Besides a mix up with our room. They had us as checked out when were still there. After refreshing our keys everything was fine. It was after leaving that it took a change. We were told to expect our deposit back after a couple of days. Which is perfectly fine and was expected. What wasn't expected was that we were charged more for supposed damages. We only stayed for a short bit and made sure that the room was nice and cleaned and reorganized when leaving. We even gathered all of the laundry in one area so that it would be easier for cleaning staff. When called and asked what damages there were we were told that they didn't have the specifics in front of them and couldn't give us an answer as to what damages there were to anything in the room. It was upsetting to be charged so much and not know what for.
